00:00Yorkshireman Harry Brook has welcomed Kevin Peterson's influence on England ahead of their ODI series against Sri Lanka, with the
00:07first ODI taking place in the North East, in Durham.
00:12Peterson has joined the White Bull set-up as a specialist mentor and has already worked with the players on
00:18facing spin.
00:19Brook said Peterson had been good to have around, describing him as a hero to many of the current squad.
00:25Here is what Harry Brook had to say about working with Kevin Peterson.
00:30I think he is enjoying the role as well, he is enjoying himself, he has been good to have around
00:36and just little chats here and there, even away from the game, just sat and having a coffee and having
00:41a chat with him about how he sees the game and how he thinks that the game should be played
00:45and he was a hero to many of us growing up, so it is good to have a man of
00:51his calibre on our side.
00:52Yeah, a lot of it was about picking the length of spin, I think that is key to facing spin
00:57and being able to rotate strike as well as possible, especially in ODI cricket as that is an area where
01:04we probably need to improve as a side and I think it can make a massive difference to winning games
01:10of cricket as well.
01:10So, he was a hell of a player against spin, alongside Ruti as well here, there is two people there
01:18that we can talk to, Antrez as well, who were very good players of spin and again it is just
01:24about picking their brains and asking them what worked for them and trying to put it into your game.
01:29Thank you very much.
