00:11it's my great honor to welcome the world to America
00:15as we celebrate 250 years of glorious freedom and independence.
00:21Two and a half centuries after the cause of liberty found its home on this continent,
00:27I can report to you with pride that America is back
00:32and our country is stronger today than ever before.
00:39Our economy is the envy of the world.
00:42Our military is the most powerful on Earth.
00:45Our technology is second to none, and we are leading in virtually everything.
00:50Our energy is fueling the planet.
00:53America is rising. Our nation is growing.
00:56Our power is expanding.
00:58Our country is doing better than ever before.
01:01And our future is very, very bright.
01:04Since I took office, we have created more than 1 million new private sector jobs,
01:10and more Americans are working today by far than ever before.
01:16Last week, it was announced that the poverty rate has reached its lowest level in American history.
01:23We lifted 1.5 million Americans out of poverty last year alone, another record.
01:31The African American and Hispanic American poverty rates are at all-time lows.
01:37Real household incomes for Americans have soared to the highest level in history,
01:4487,000 on average, surpassing the prior record that I set in my first term.
01:51From day one, my administration has worked to remove every single unnecessary regulation and obstacle
01:58to doing business in America.
02:01We passed the largest tax cuts in American history,
02:04and as a result, more money is being invested in the United States right now
02:09than has ever been invested in any nation anywhere in the world.
02:14U.S. stock markets have set 80 all-time records,
02:18and that's just in the last 12 months.
02:23We've secured commitments for $21 trillion in new investments from all over the planet,
02:29compared to less than $1 trillion in four years in the previous administration.
02:35Two years ago, our country was dead,
02:38and now we have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
02:43Before I took office, we had the worst and most dangerous border on Earth,
02:47and now we have the most secure border in American history.
02:50Nobody comes in unless they're invited, unless they have permission.
02:56In the past 16 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States,
03:02and that's done by some very sophisticated people.
03:05It's not done by the Trump administration.
03:07Zero.
03:08As a result, last year, we achieved the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded.
03:14The murder rate has plummeted to its lowest level in 125 years,
03:19since the year 1900.
03:22I sent our crime busters into Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana,
03:27and crime in each place went down over 80 percent, and it'll go down still further.
03:33More importantly, when I arrived on January 20th of last year in Washington, D.C.,
03:39it was riddled with crime, and now crime is down 87 percent, and we're going for 100.
03:47Tourism is, if you take a look, and I guess a lot of you have been there, tourism is thriving.
03:54Restaurants are bustling, and people are proud of our nation's capital.
03:59They're proud like never before.
04:01We've invested more money in the United States military in the past 12 months than ever before,
04:07and this term, it'll be $1.5 trillion.
04:10We inherited a dark age of America from the previous administration,
04:15and we turned it into the golden age of America.
04:20The entire world is being lifted by the wealth, strength, spirit, and momentum
04:26of a newly energized and a very powerful United States of America.
04:32And just as we moved quickly to address problems we inherited at home,
04:37we have acted with decisiveness and speed to reshape the world stage
04:42and solve problems that have plagued us for far too long.
04:47Every leader in this room, and your great leaders, many great leaders,
04:51I know all of you very well,
04:54but they know that given only a short time to make this world better, safer,
04:59and more prosperous for our children, for the people on Earth,
05:03we have to take advantage of it.
05:04As president of the most extraordinary nation in history,
05:08I have no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day.
05:12I do not believe in letting problems fester.
05:16They only become harder to solve.
05:18So while others have talked, I have acted.
05:22While others have spoken of peace, I have made peace.
05:26While others have ignored threats, I have confronted them.
05:32While others have talked of courage, America has shown it.
05:36While others have promised strength,
05:38I have used it to make America the most powerful country in the world.
05:43Working with many nations in this room,
05:46we are solving decades of intractable challenges,
05:50and we are settling years of unfinished business,
05:54and we're doing it well.
05:55There is no better example of a danger
05:57that was allowed to gather strength at the world's peril
06:01than the number one sponsor of terror,
06:05the Islamic Republic of Iran.
06:08For 51 years, the fanatical Iranian regime
06:13has ruled by bloodshed and mass murder,
06:16spreading death and carnage and chaos
06:19across the entire Middle East and beyond.
06:23They were the bully of the Middle East,
06:25but they are the bully no more.
06:27From the first day I entered the political arena,
06:30I've been unwavering.
06:32I will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
06:36Upon taking office last year,
06:38I immediately opened negotiations with Iran
06:41and offered them full economic cooperation
06:43in exchange for ending their nuclear program
06:46and support for terror, but they refused.
06:50They absolutely refused.
06:52That was a big mistake.
06:53Then, in Operation Midnight Hammer,
06:56the U.S. military obliterated their nuclear program
06:59beneath mountains of rubble.
07:00And again, I urged Iran to make a deal,
07:03and again, they refused.
07:06The regime continued building a vast missile
07:09and drone stockpile
07:10that threatened the security
07:12of every American service member in the region
07:14and everyone else in the region.
07:17They also made a missile that was capable of hitting Europe,
07:21and they were very proud of it.
07:23I hope the Europeans realized that.
07:25Iran's goal was to complete their mad dash
07:29to a nuclear bomb
07:31from behind this conventional ballistic missile shield.
07:36If they had succeeded,
07:37that wicked regime would have been free
07:40to spread terror and death forever,
07:42knowing that any attempt to stop them
07:44would face an arsenal of nuclear annihilation.
07:48In America, we just marked the 25th anniversary
07:52of the worst terror attack in history,
07:54September 11th, which killed 3,000 people
07:57just a few miles from here.
08:00It was an unbelievably terrible time.
08:04In two weeks, we will mark the third anniversary
08:06of the October 7th attack in Israel,
08:09where terrorists funded by Iran tortured,
08:12mutilated, and killed 1,200 very innocent civilians,
08:17including dozens of Americans,
08:19and many babies, babies, little, tiny, beautiful babies.
08:24Iran's supreme leader celebrated that massacre
08:27and called it a service to humanity.
08:30The same regime slaughtered over 72,000
08:33of its citizens this year.
08:35Recently, 10,000 were killed for protesting.
08:39Just imagine such a vile regime
08:43were ever empowered to carry out large-scale terror attacks
08:47from behind a nuclear shield.
08:49This was the reality we had to confront,
08:52a reality that far too many preferred to ignore.
08:56They all ignored it.
08:58Many presidents and many others just wanted to ignore it.
09:01They were unwilling to do anything about it,
09:03but they knew the problem.
09:05After giving Iran every chance for a deal,
09:08I took action to ensure that neither the United States
09:11nor any nation in this whole
09:13would ever have to face such a nightmare,
09:16such a catastrophic problem.
09:19As a result of Operation Epic Fury,
09:23all 159 ships of their navy
09:25are now lying at the bottom of the sea.
09:29Likewise, their air force is gone.
09:31Their radar is gone.
09:32Their anti-aircraft equipment is gone.
09:35Their missiles and drone manufacturing capacity
09:38is almost gone.
09:40Their economy is gone.
09:42The only thing that isn't gone is inflation,
09:45which is destroying their country
09:47and is now well over 300%.
09:51Yet even after we agreed to a ceasefire
09:54for nuclear discussions,
09:56Iran promptly violated it
09:58with brazen acts of terrorism
09:59against civilian ships from other countries.
10:02I want to thank the U.N. Security Council
10:05for voting overwhelmingly to pass a resolution
10:09condemning Iran's despicable terrorist attacks
10:13on commercial shipping.
10:15Thank you very much.
10:17That resolution, I'm pleased to say,
10:19received more co-sponsors from U.N. member nations
10:23than any Security Council resolution in history.
10:28That's something.
10:29Now we must be equally united
10:31in maintaining pressure.
10:33The United States Navy has recently escorted
10:36more than 1 billion barrels of oil
10:38out of the Strait of Hormuz.
10:40And more oil is flowing
10:42than at any point since the start of the war.
10:45We're taking 22, 25, 30, 32, and 37 ships out,
10:51respectively, every single day,
10:53every single night.
10:55But I have a big decision to make.
10:59Will a deal be made with Iran
11:01that lets them rebuild and create
11:05a far greater country than it ever was before,
11:09maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East
11:11or even the world?
11:14Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic
11:17and do it quickly,
11:19never giving them a chance to kill
11:21and destroy people and countries again?
11:25Do I drive them into hell
11:27with no chance of survival
11:28and no hope of future greatness or generations?
11:33But I believe we'll make a deal
11:35right after the election
11:37because it doesn't make sense for them not to.
11:41They're waiting to see
11:42how I do in the midterm election.
11:44What they don't realize is that I'm not running.
11:47I did that already
11:50and won in a landslide.
11:52We won in a giant landslide.
11:54And I'll be here for two and a half years.
11:56The Republican Party is running
11:59and I'll be helping them.
12:00But I am not running.
12:02I gave absolutely no credence
12:05and will not give credence
12:07to the election when it comes to Iran.
12:10It doesn't even enter my mind.
12:13The only thing that does
12:15is that Iran will never have
12:18a nuclear weapon.
12:20The cowards and traitors...
12:29The cowards and traitors would love to say
12:32the United States is low on munitions.
12:34But that's not true.
12:36We have more munitions
12:37than we could ever possibly
12:40even think of using.
12:41And we're building them at levels
12:43that we have never done before.
12:45We are adding to our stockpiles
12:47faster than we have ever
12:49been able to do before.
12:52Top of the line stuff.
12:55In addition,
12:56in the very near future,
12:57massive munition plants
12:59will be opening.
13:00There are 18 of them
13:02being built by the greatest
13:03defense companies in the world
13:06right now.
13:0718 under construction.
13:08Some of them very quickly
13:09will be completed.
13:11They're almost there.
13:13And that rapid construction
13:14will be leading
13:16to very rapid deployment
13:18of missiles of every type
13:20and ammunition of every type.
13:22And we'll be able to supply
13:23our allies
13:25at a much faster rate
13:26than we're doing right now.
13:28I call on all nations
13:30to join us
13:31in enforcing
13:32the complete economic isolation
13:33of Iran
13:34until they stop their attacks
13:36on commercial shipping,
13:38relinquish their nuclear ambitions,
13:40and cease their support of terror.
13:44The terrorist regime
13:45is behaving badly,
13:48not because they are strong
13:50and confident,
13:51but because they are weak
13:53and desperate.
13:54If we stand united,
13:57we will soon see
13:58a world free
13:59of the last 51-year menace
14:02of Iranian terror
14:03and oil prices
14:05will come plummeting down
14:06even lower than they were
14:08at the start of the conflict.
14:09And they were very low.
14:11In the United States,
14:12they were really low.
14:14With courage and resolve,
14:16anything is possible.
14:18Big changes can happen
14:19and happen fast.
14:21One year ago,
14:22when I addressed
14:23the great leaders
14:24in this hall,
14:25the war in Gaza
14:26was still raging brutally.
14:28The hostages
14:29were still deep
14:30in Hamas tunnels,
14:32and there was no end in sight.
14:34It was never going
14:35to be resolved.
14:36But here on the sidelines
14:39of the General Assembly,
14:40we took the first steps.
14:41It changed everything.
14:43A few weeks later,
14:44we ended the war in Gaza,
14:46saving untold
14:48thousands of lives.
14:49We also brought home
14:50all remaining hostages,
14:53both living and dead.
14:56Every single one of them.
15:03Everyone thought
15:04it was a miracle
15:05that we were able to do so,
15:07and people celebrated
15:08in the streets.
15:09I want to express
15:10my gratitude
15:11to the United Nations
15:12Security Council
15:13for their unanimous endorsement
15:15of our 20-point Gaza peace plan
15:18and for officially approving
15:20the Board of Peace.
15:22It's going to be
15:22a very significant
15:23group of people.
15:25Nearly 30 countries
15:26have joined the board,
15:28which I am honored to chair.
15:31And we're thankful
15:32to many of those
15:33member nations
15:33for contributing
15:34billions and billions
15:36of dollars to relief.
15:37and it goes right to the
15:39rebuilding and relief
15:41of Morocco, Bahrain.
15:43These are the countries
15:44that gave Qatar, Kuwait,
15:47Kazakhstan,
15:48Saudi Arabia, Turkey,
15:50Uzbekistan,
15:51and many more.
15:52That money goes right
15:54to the source,
15:56right where they need it,
15:57and they desperately need it.
15:58And those countries
16:00have been very generous,
16:02and others also
16:03are stepping up
16:04at numbers
16:05that nobody would even believe
16:06because they want
16:07to see people live.
16:09They want to see
16:10the humanitarian thing
16:11happen properly.
16:13They've been fantastic.
16:14I also want to thank
16:15those who have committed
16:17troops, police,
16:18and training
16:19to help stabilize Gaza,
16:21including Indonesia,
16:22Morocco, Albania,
16:24Kosovo, Kazakhstan,
16:26Pakistan, Egypt,
16:29Jordan, and more.
16:31Since I took office,
16:33it has been my great honor
16:35to settle eight wars,
16:36and in so doing,
16:37become friendly
16:39with the leaders
16:39of many of those countries.
16:41It was a great honor
16:43to do it.
16:44Numerous of these wars
16:46have gone on
16:46for many years
16:47and even decades.
16:49The reason I was able
16:50to make these settlements
16:51was the use of my relationships,
16:55very special relationships
16:56to this day,
16:57very, very special.
16:59Trade,
17:00the use of tariffs
17:01and the threat of tariffs,
17:03and various other reasons
17:05depending on the country.
17:06Among them,
17:08in terms of settlement,
17:10Cambodia and Thailand,
17:14Kosovo and Serbia,
17:17the Democratic Republic
17:18of the Congo
17:19and Rwanda,
17:22Pakistan and India,
17:25Armenia and Azerbaijan,
17:28and, of course,
17:29the war in Gaza,
17:30which, as I stated previously,
17:32includes the return
17:33of all hostages,
17:35both living and dead.
17:36Almost every one
17:38of these countries
17:38wrote me a letter of thank you.
17:40The Prime Minister of Pakistan,
17:43a terrific man,
17:44said that Donald Trump
17:46was responsible
17:47for saving 30 million lives
17:49and probably many more than that.
17:52The President of Azerbaijan
17:54said President Trump
17:55in six months
17:56did a miracle.
17:57It was an absolute miracle
17:58that nobody thought
17:59could be done.
18:00The Prime Minister of Armenia
18:02said this breakthrough
18:04would simply not have been possible
18:06without President Trump's
18:07personal engagement
18:08and his resolute commitment
18:11to peace.
18:12The President of Cambodia
18:14stated President Trump's
18:15extraordinary statesmanship
18:16marked by his commitment
18:18to resolving conflicts
18:20and preventing catastrophic wars
18:22through visionary,
18:24innovative diplomacy
18:25was most recently demonstrated
18:28in his decisive role
18:30in brokering an immediate
18:31and unconditional ceasefire
18:33and peace.
18:34This timely intervention,
18:36which averted
18:37a potentially devastating conflict,
18:39was vital in preventing
18:41a great loss of lives
18:42and paved the way
18:45towards the restoration of peace.
18:47The President of Rwanda
18:49said when President Trump
18:51saw the opportunity
18:52to contribute to peace,
18:53he immediately took it.
18:55This conflict has lasted
18:56for 32 years.
18:58Millions and millions
18:59of people have died.
19:02We got it settled.
19:04We've seen countless mediations
19:07and efforts,
19:07but none has succeeded
19:09in resolving
19:10the underlying issues.
19:12President Donald Trump
19:14issued a new
19:15and effective statement
19:17that really has brought
19:18great peace and space
19:22through really a breakthrough
19:24that we thought
19:25was impossible.
19:27We're working very closely
19:29with the leaders
19:30of Russia and Ukraine,
19:31and we will get that one done.
19:34It's going to happen,
19:35I think, more quickly
19:36than people understand.
19:39They've had it.
19:4225,000 young people,
19:43mostly soldiers,
19:45a month are dying.
19:4625,000 a month.
19:47And I look at those
19:48battlefield pictures
19:49and I really don't want
19:51to see them anymore.
19:52It's so horrible to see.
19:5425,000 a month, both sides.
19:56In addition,
19:57the United States and Iran
19:59will definitely get it done.
20:01We will get it done.
20:01One way or the other,
20:02it's going to be done.
20:03It's going to be done fast.
20:05A lot has happened
20:06since we last gathered here
20:07one year ago.
20:09In January,
20:10at my direction,
20:12the United States military
20:13conducted a massive
20:15military operation
20:16penetrating deep
20:18into the Venezuelan capital,
20:21Caracas.
20:22Descended on a heavily defended
20:25and fortified military base,
20:27one that was supposed
20:29to be flawless against attack
20:32and arrested the outlaw dictator,
20:36real criminal,
20:37Nicolas Maduro.
20:39Since that day,
20:40hundreds of Venezuelan
20:41political prisoners
20:42have been freed.
20:43They've let them out of jails.
20:46And we're working closely
20:47with the leaders of Venezuela
20:48to forge a much better future
20:50for the Venezuelan people.
20:52Last month,
20:53we signed the largest oil deal
20:56in history covering 65 billion barrels
20:59of oil,
21:00which will benefit both Venezuela
21:02and the United States enormously
21:04and help drive down the cost of energy
21:06all over the world.
21:07And that is starting
21:08to perk right now.
21:11It's coming out.
21:12The biggest oil companies
21:13in the world are going in.
21:14And the numbers
21:15are absolutely incredible.
21:18When you add the United States
21:20and Venezuela together,
21:21we have more than 60%
21:23of the oil in the world.
21:25So it's perhaps
21:26the biggest deal.
21:28It was a war,
21:29but it's perhaps
21:30the biggest deal
21:32ever made.
21:33To the victor
21:34belong the spoils.
21:37You've all heard that.
21:38Our actions in Venezuela
21:39are proof
21:40that the United States
21:41will no longer permit threats
21:43to America
21:43to gain a foothold
21:45anywhere in the Western Hemisphere.
21:47And if necessary,
21:49we will use
21:50our unmatched military might
21:53to secure
21:53the vital national interests
21:55of the United States.
21:57As you know,
21:57Venezuela had the finest equipment
21:59in the world
21:59from other countries,
22:00and guess what?
22:01It didn't work.
22:02It didn't even come close
22:04to working.
22:05For decades,
22:06other administrations
22:07allowed much of this region
22:08to be dominated
22:09by vicious gangs
22:10and bloodthirsty drug cartels,
22:13destabilized by uncontrolled migration,
22:16and infiltrated
22:18by hostile foreign adversaries,
22:22foreign, sick,
22:26demented adversaries.
22:27But not anymore.
22:29We are reasserting
22:31American power,
22:32including American military power,
22:34where necessary.
22:35In our region
22:36and around the world
22:37to create a safer future
22:39for all of us.
22:40It's happening,
22:41and it's happening quickly.
22:42Upon taking office,
22:44I designated the drug cartels
22:46as foreign terrorist organizations
22:50and unleashed
22:52the United States Armed Forces
22:54to eliminate them.
22:56The cartels are the ISIS
22:58of the Western Hemisphere,
23:01not good people.
23:03They're enemies at war
23:04with civilization,
23:06using murder, rape, torture,
23:08and extortion
23:09as instruments of terror.
23:11Like ISIS,
23:12they should be killed,
23:14exiled,
23:15or detained
23:15as enemy combatants
23:16without the possibility of release,
23:18which is what we're doing.
23:19To that end,
23:21the United States
23:21has carried out
23:22dozens of strikes
23:23on cartel drug boats,
23:25destroying 97%
23:27of the drugs
23:28coming into the ocean and sea.
23:32You've seen it.
23:34They disappear very quickly,
23:36and we're down 90%.
23:38They're down 97%.
23:39Nobody thought that was possible.
23:42It was a big source of delivery.
23:45And three months ago,
23:46we terminated the leader
23:47of the Venezuelan gang,
23:49Tren de Aragua.
23:51Mexico is the epicenter
23:53of the cartel violence,
23:54unfortunately.
23:55It's unacceptable
23:56for the United States
23:57to share a 2,000-mile border
24:00with a territory controlled
24:01by enemy cartels.
24:04So Mexico must reclaim control
24:06of its soil
24:07from the enemies of humanity.
24:09My administration
24:10is also seeking
24:11a fundamental change
24:12in the situation in Cuba
24:14where the communist regime
24:16is under great pressure,
24:18the biggest pressure
24:19they've ever been under.
24:20It's an absolutely failed state.
24:25It's failing like never before,
24:27and it will fall.
24:29Marco Rubio is handling
24:30a negotiation.
24:31He's deep into negotiations
24:33with Cuba.
24:34Let's see what happens.
24:35We'll not allow a haven
24:37for foreign adversaries
24:39to threaten America
24:40on our own doorstep.
24:43It's right at our doorstep.
24:44The Cuban regime
24:45has also spent decades
24:47coordinating with the left-wing radicals
24:49and communist networks
24:50here in the United States.
24:52As our State Department
24:54has detailed,
24:55they've cultivated ties
24:57to subversive and radical groups
24:59such as the Communist Party USA,
25:02Antifa,
25:02and the Democrat Socialists of America.
25:06Communism will never be
25:07coming to America,
25:09but freedom will be coming to Cuba,
25:11and safety and security
25:13will be coming to Mexico.
25:15I'm very proud to tell you
25:17we have a very good relationship
25:18with the Mexican government.
25:20We've made great strides,
25:21very great strides with Mexico.
25:23They don't want the cartels either.
25:26And when that day comes,
25:28this entire region will be
25:29a better, safer,
25:30and more beautiful place
25:32in which to live and thrive.
25:34As I announced just days ago,
25:37the United States
25:38has also reached
25:39an unprecedented agreement
25:41regarding the northern frontier
25:42of North America,
25:44the large and strategically vital piece
25:47of land known as Greenland.
25:49This agreement made
25:50with the Kingdom of Denmark,
25:53an incredible, beautiful country,
25:55and the Greenland people itself
25:58gives the United States
26:00permanent control over security
26:01and all other needs
26:02on that territory.
26:04We will have the complete ability
26:06to do what is necessary
26:07to defend the American continent
26:10and also Europe
26:12and other places.
26:13No U.S. adversary
26:15will ever be permitted
26:17to establish a military presence
26:18in Greenland anymore
26:20or make sensitive investments
26:22there without our express
26:23written approval.
26:24We will immediately begin
26:26the process of developing
26:27a large military presence
26:29in the appropriate locations.
26:31We will be building
26:32two very major military bases.
26:36This agreement will be signed
26:39later today,
26:40and I look forward to working
26:42with the wonderful people
26:44of Denmark and Greenland.
26:45It's been a great experience,
26:48amazing experience,
26:49and we've really formed a bond
26:50in doing it.
26:51By expanding America's footprint
26:54in the Arctic and North Atlantic,
26:56this deal also protects Europe
26:58in addition to America
27:00and greatly protects them.
27:02It also very much enhances NATO
27:06with who has a great leader.
27:08And, Mark, I know you're

27:09and you are indeed a great leader,
