00:00Unfortunately, we're looking at moderate to high damage along the coastal area from North Carolina all the way in toward
00:11Delaware.
00:12While this technically is not being caused by a nor'easter, it's going to have the look and feel of
00:18one.
00:19High pressure across New England is going to continue to drive that wind out of the east-northeast, a strong
00:23air of high pressure.
00:24And that northeast wind is not only gusty, it's going to be prolonged.
00:28It's already underway. It's going to continue Wednesday and into Thursday.
00:32The strongest winds and worst flooding will likely be Wednesday afternoon in the Wednesday night from Nags Head towards Shinkatink.
00:41Now, our nor'easter really gets going as we get into Thursday and Friday.
00:47And in fact, once that storm gets going, the wind flow, which is going to be out of the east
00:52-northeast, will come around to the north-northwest.
00:55And that's when things will actually improve.
00:57But the problem is, we're looking at a 48-hour period at least, where those winds is going to cause
01:04coastal inundation.
01:05A storm surge of about 3 to 5 feet, locally 6.
01:09Coastal roads will likely go underwater.
01:12And there will also be problems on the southern end of the Chesapeake.
01:15And we could have a lot of back bay flooding as well.
01:19The worst conditions, again, Virginia, down toward North Carolina.
01:23But there will be issues also in the Delaware and Jersey Shore.
