00:08We've already had 17 named storms.

00:14What do we average in a hurricane season in the eastern Pacific?
00:1815 with the last storm coming November 5th.
00:22Now, of those 17 storms, we've already had nine hurricanes.
00:28We only average eight hurricanes, with the last occurring on October 23rd historically.
00:34And of those nine hurricanes, we've already had six major hurricanes.
00:38That's Category 3 or greater with maximum staying winds of at least 111 miles per hour.
00:43We've already had six of them.
00:45We only average four.
00:46And guess what?
00:47Our latest hurricane, Rachel, may be the seventh major hurricane of the season as we head into Thursday.
00:55Now, the good news is, we are forecasting Rachel to move away from the Mexican coast.
01:00But beware, there's already another area of showers and thunderstorms off the southwest coast of Mexico.
01:06This will likely become a storm next week.
01:10And there is the potential and likelihood that this storm will make landfall along the Mexican coast late next week.
01:18And some of that moisture may be moving into the United States next weekend.
