00:17and their accusation is that factories are releasing chemical-laced waste into local drains.
00:24They say years of illness and even cancer cases have gone unanswered, the claim repeatedly being brought in.
00:34The complainants have now taken the matter in their own hands.
00:38They are sitting in protest.
00:40Their plan is now to escalate the protest even further.
00:43On the 24th of September, they will carry out what they say is a Chakka Jam, a campaign on the
00:50Dolka roads and highways.
00:51But what exactly is the allegation? What is the seriousness of the matter?

01:1023rd September is the 33rd day of their protest.
01:15Roughly 40 to 45 minutes drive away from the Gujarat capital of Ahmedabad,
01:20people from five villages of Dolka district.
01:24Bhetawara, Thrasad, Naista, Paldi and Ambareli have been part of this protest for more than a month now.
01:36Villagers accuse factories operating near their homes of releasing chemical-laden water into drains.
