00:00Hey, we are Sam and Taylor Prisabella from Riverton in the mid-north of South Australia.
00:06We've been nominated for the Next Gen, well nominated in the Next Gen category of the Australia Australian Agriculture Awards.
00:15We are Dryland Broadacre Croppers, fourth generation farmers here in Riverton.
00:22We've got four young kids. Our eldest is Connor, he's 13, and three girls, Riley, Millie and Aubrey.
00:30We also purchased a seed cleaning business up at Manurah a year ago and rebranded it to Northern Seed Co.
00:39Which is a seed cleaning, seed sales, seed processing plant, which ties in with our farm and what we're doing.
00:47Breeding new seed varieties for AGT, intergrain and seed net.
00:52Yeah, we found the seed business operation was an extension to the farm.
00:57We found we needed to value add to our existing operation and that was a good fit for us.
01:03One of our core values is producing clean, clean crops.
01:11And Connor, Connor, our eldest son, is dead keen on farming.
01:17Yeah, definitely probably be the fifth generation at this stage.
01:20There's no stopping him, so yeah, we're working just towards building up our farm and the seed business
01:25so that there's a good future for all the kids if they want to come home, yeah, and get involved.
