Thousands of protesters take to the streets in Madrid over Ceuta migrant crisis

Almost two months after the mass arrival of tens of thousands of migrants in Ceuta, the situation in the autonomous city remains unresolved.

00:00Thousands of protesters in Spain on Saturday took part in Madrid's second court March for Dignity,
00:07with demonstrators calling for a general election and voicing their support for Ceuta amid the autonomous city's ongoing migrant crisis.
00:17The demonstration, which was organized by right-leaning civil society platforms, conservative and far-right parties,
00:24set off from the Plaza de Sibeles and headed towards the Arco del Triomphe in Monclero.
00:30The central government's representative in Madrid put the turnout at around 20,000,
00:36while the organizers of the protest said some 180,000 people participated.
00:42The protest comes almost two months after the mass influx of migrants to Ceuta, where the situation remains unresolved.
00:50A separate March for Dignity, held at the end of July, saw tens of thousands of people come together
00:56to demand Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez resign and for snap elections to be held.
01:02According to the government delegation, that demonstration drew around 40,000 people,
01:08while organizers put the figure as high as 120,000.
