00:00Yarding very, very good, also with a bit of weight in it because our season earlier here has been fantastic.
00:06We just hit a little bit of a dry spot just at the moment.
00:09We haven't had a lot of rain here for the last fortnight, but yeah, they tell us it's coming, so
00:15that's good.
00:16So, you know, there was some good confidence here today with our yarding.
00:20We've had to split our monthly store, so we've got the shed being built here.
00:26We've got a shed going over the whole of our yard, so hence we've lost about some 80-odd pens.
00:31So we've had to split our store sales now into two.
00:34We go every second Friday and every fourth Friday now.
00:37The corporates will be selling on the second Friday, and the independent agents will be selling on the fourth Friday,
00:43which is what has fallen here today.
00:45We've ended up here with about 1,800 cattle in total.
00:48Our steer job held up very well.
00:50We had some weight in the top end, and that top end steers were anywhere from sort of 480 to
00:57sort of 600-kilo steers,
00:58and they've been, you know, around that sort of $5 and a little bit better.
01:03They sold well.
01:04And then we got into those younger black steers in that sort of 250 to sort of 300 kilos.
01:12You know, and those fellas were, well, there was a few pens there over $6, a lot of pens in
01:16that $5.50 to $5.80.
01:18So, yeah, look, they sold well.
01:21Then we got into the black heifers, and those black heifers were, you know, anywhere from 480 to sort of
01:26520.
01:27They sold very, very well.
01:28And, you know, in the top end of those, we had some good weight as well.
01:31So, yeah, it was a solid sale.
01:33Then we head into our coloured heifers, and, yeah, had a great run of short-horn heifers there,
01:38and some good Hereford heifers and some good Charolais cross heifers.
01:42And, you know, look, those blokes there, maybe, you know, you got under the $5 for some of those ones,
01:48you know, in that sort of 450 to, you know, maybe five bucks.
01:52So, yeah, all in all, a very, very good solid sale.
01:55We've seen our fat market has just slid back.
01:58You know, particularly our cows were mostly 20 cents a head cheaper on Wednesday.
02:04But, you know, a lot of those bullocks still, you know, like they're making, you know,
02:08anywhere in that sort of 450 to 480, and with a bit of weight in them too.
02:12So, yeah, look, the job has, yes, snuck back a bit, but still very, very acceptable.
