U.S. stock futures were muxed on Wednesday, as the Dow Jones, and Nasdaq 100 indices fell, Nasdaq 100 index rose following Tuesday's lower close.

August economic data, led by the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge—the headline and core PCE price indices—alongside figures showing personal income rising by $66.6 billion and consumer spending jumping by roughly 0.9%, or $190.8 billion.

Geopolitical risks remain in focus as Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned Americans of a "massive economic earthquake" if President Donald Trump continues the ongoing war and economic blockade.

At the same time, Trump firmly denied offering Tehran any sanctions relief, while defending his tolerance for North Korea’s nuclear weapons by describing Kim Jong Un as "a friend of mine."

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 5.21%, and the 2-year Treasury bond yielded 4.87%, at the last check. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool projections show markets pricing in a 44.8% likelihood of the Federal Reserve hiking interest rates after its October meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, were mixed in premarket on Wednesday. The SPY was up 0.10% at $764.99, while the QQQ declined 0.058% to $737.50.
