00:01Birmingham City Council is asking the High Court for an injunction to stop unauthorised
00:05union and St George's flags from being attached to lampposts and street furniture. The council
00:11alleges intimidation, obstruction and dangerous incidents connected with Raise the Colours.
00:16At an earlier hearing the judge said the authority had not clearly set out its case
00:22against each defendant. Founder Ryan Bridge contests the allegations and says the injunction
00:27would interfere with freedom of expression. The council says the same rules apply to
00:32Palestinian and pride flags placed without permission. The hearing is adjourned until
00:37the 2nd of November when Bridge's lawyer will present his case.
