After going through a dry stretch in August and September, tropical moisture will bring torrential rain and flash flooding to Texas with much of the state receiving between 4-8 inches of rainfall.

00:00Flash flooding has developed in San Antonio and other Texas cities are going to face more trouble as the week
00:05comes to a conclusion with tropical moisture in place.
00:09This follows an exceptionally dry August and September with only 3% of normal rainfall in Dallas and less than
00:1620% of historical average rainfall in Waco and Austin.
00:20So we're going from exceptionally dry to way too wet on a dime.
00:24Friday, drenching thunderstorms will continue for many areas in Central, South and East Texas.
00:29That includes the I-35.
00:31We are very concerned about the continuation of flash flooding from the Hill Country to I-35 and all the
00:36way north up into the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
00:40By Friday night, many of us in Texas will see between 4 and 8 inches of rain.
00:45There will be more 4-inch reports than 8-inch reports, but still drenching rain.
00:49Saturday and Sunday, showers and thunderstorms will linger near the Gulf Coast, and that will continue right along the coast
00:55into next week.
