00:0019 for 62 for Javante, 3.3 a carry, did have three touchdowns,
00:05blew you up in our fantasy league, and EPA per play,
00:10the Cowboys were really good running it.
00:12So they were running it, they were on the positive end
00:15because EPA per play, a lot of it's going to be...
00:18They have 75 yards at three yards a carry.
00:21Right, but so if you look at how Javante performed inside the five,
00:25that's going to be a positive.
00:26The fact that he's on three yards to get, and he gets three yards,
00:29and it's a touchdown, that's going to contribute.
00:32And so they were in the positive realm there.
00:34They were one of the better defenses in EPA per rush yesterday
00:37in terms of stopping it.
00:38And so they were...
00:39The run game yesterday was a positive on both ends for them.
00:42And I was thinking about this flying back yesterday.
00:45I don't know if there's many I'd rather have running the ball
00:50inside the five than Javante.
00:51Just because he's so physical, he's so strong,
00:54but he's also still...
00:55He's not like this sweet feet LaShawn McCoy type.
00:59No.
01:00But he's still nimble enough, and not just this bruiser,
01:03that he can, in those tight areas, make somebody miss a little bit
01:06and still fall forward.
01:08Yeah, when Tyler Goodson had his 10-yard run, I was like,
01:10oh, I should not notice that big of a difference in burst
01:15and juice with him running compared to Javante.
01:18But Javante is more of that bruiser.
01:21This is Star Up, Star Down, your Cowboys report card brought to you

01:32on the Franco and Franco injury attorney text line.
01:35And we cannot start this segment other than anywhere else.
01:44Prescott under center, got a man in motion, little play fake,
01:47great block from the back, throws the ball, crossing to the 20,
01:50Lamb alone, 15 to the 10, and at the 8, he'll be abused.
01:56Prescott is under center.
01:58He's back to throw on third and one.
02:00Looks down the middle of the field, throws it out.
02:03Lamb somehow catches this ball at the Houston 45 in tight cover.
02:08Back to throw pressure, throws it out left.
02:11Lamb is open on the sideline, made a move, made a first down.
02:15Oh, cry it out loud, and got down to the 20-yard line.
02:19C.D. Lamb, you're on fire.
02:2221 yards on second and 18.
02:25Prescott in the gun at the Houston 20-yard line down three.
02:29It's play action, he throws it out to Lamb.
02:32Lamb gets away to the 10.
02:33Lamb's across the five.
02:34Lamb's got a first and goal.
02:36At the three-yard line.
02:39Second down at the Houston 12.
02:42Prescott back, throwing, and go!
02:44Lamb!
02:45Lamb!
02:46Lamb to the post!
02:48C.D. Lamb!
02:51Unbelievable!
02:5412-yard touchdown!
02:57Dallas has regained the lead!
03:00Nice job, Pepe.
03:01Pepe, 17 catches on 21 targets.
03:031-80-9.
03:0611 a catch.
03:07And the game winner.
03:10And he did it locally.
03:12In 12 years, he spent the childhood in nearby Richmond.
03:17Yeah, and I did not.
03:18I was expecting him to be.
03:21I heard him pre-game with Chris Arnold.
03:23And C.A.
03:24was talking to him.
03:24And he felt like he was downplaying a little bit.
03:26The idea of being back home.
03:29Post-game, he even kind of downplayed it a little bit.
03:31Like, he was clearly excited.
03:32But he didn't want to seem like he was unfocused.
03:36But he talked about, you know, his big.
03:37His grandma got to see him in this game, which doesn't happen very often.
03:41But he was somebody who, I think it mattered to him to go in there and play that way.
03:48The way he did at home.
03:49But, I mean, this is also just, this is exactly how he's played the first three weeks of the season.
03:55They haven't gone the volume to him as much.
03:57They haven't needed to lean on him as much as they did yesterday with 21 targets.
04:01But, I mean, that's, he's putting up absurd numbers right now.
04:06His career highs, I went and looked at it yesterday through the first four games of his career.
04:10It's before the stretch, before 2026, the highest he had ever had in the first four games in terms of
04:17yards was 335 or 332.
04:20He has 498 through four games.
04:22The most receptions he had was 23.
04:23He's got 37.
04:25The most touchdowns he had was two.
04:26He's got four.
04:27I mean, he's almost doubling all of his career highs through four games.
04:30Some of the bigger catches.
04:33Second and 18 in the fourth quarter.
04:38Third down.
04:3930 yards opening the third quarter to put the ball down on the eight.
04:45Javante ends up scoring.
04:47That was the first moment, too, you felt like the seal might break for the Texans secondary.
04:52Like, when he got that play, you were like, oh, we might be able to get some stuff downfield if
04:55we hit this right.
04:57Opening drive in the fourth quarter after first and 25 CD.
05:03Right there again.
05:05Then we talk about the out route.
05:08He gets popped for catch number 17.
05:10He hangs on the toughness.
05:12And what was the strategy in terms of Stingley covering who?
05:18Because you sent over a note on Kamari Lasseter that he will not want to see again.
05:24He allowed eight catches for 136 on 11 targets over 50 coverage snaps.
05:30And I would have to imagine the majority of that was lining up against number 88.
05:34Most receiving yards allowed by corner in a game this season.
05:39Yeah, it was a lot that was on.
05:41There was a lot of it that was on Lasseter.
05:43Those penalties, though, like, for instance, we know two of those penalties were when he was on Pickens.
05:47When they got down to the red zone and they got those extensions.
05:50So they flipped a little bit.
05:52It's so much harder to just devote somebody to CD, especially because, like, they put him in the slot.
05:56They move him around.
05:57It's not nearly as easy to just say, hey, let's do this.
06:01Unless you're in man coverage and you're saying follow him, which most teams aren't running most of the time.
06:06Here's Lamb afterwards on the monster game.
06:09Honestly, bro, I wasn't even thinking about any of that throughout the game.
06:12The end goal for me was to score and walk off and feel victorious.
06:17You know what I'm saying?
06:18So just going throughout the game, man, just coming up for the team.
06:21A lot of third down conversions that we had, I felt like I was a part of.
06:24And that was good.
06:25And moving the sticks.
06:27That's the end goal.
06:29Obviously, Louisiana's home for you.
06:30But what does this city mean to you to have a performance like this?
06:32Everything, man.
06:33I grew up here.
06:34You know what I'm saying?
06:34So, like, my grandma came out.
06:36That was really good to see.
06:37She don't really come to many of my games and, you know, really do all the hoorah and the screaming.
06:40So it was good to see my family here.
06:43And it's just been a long road to end up in this situation.
06:47And I'm grateful for it.
06:48And just coming back and seeing a lot of things that I'm familiar with growing up in this fire.
06:52Many wavered last season, including someone missing in this room.
06:58And let this be a loud reminder and proclamation that the number one receiver on this football team is and
07:08has always been number 88.
07:10George Pickens played better last year.
07:14And just because GP ain't putting up his numbers right now does not mean that George Pickens is a bum.
07:19But in terms of trusting and in terms of consistency, CeeDee Lamb is WR1.
07:26Let's not make that mistake of questioning and doubting it again.
07:30Chubby here.
07:31Ralph James.
07:32Yeah, it's not a, like you say, it's not like Pickens isn't a good player.
07:37It's showing you the difference of this is a guy who's really good.
07:43And like here you got CeeDee Lamb.
07:45That's a guy who's great.
07:46That is a great football player.
07:47There's nobody.
07:48I mean, nobody.
07:49Jackson Smith and Jigman, nobody who's playing better football right now at receiver than him.
07:53He is completely locked in.
07:56He's playing at the highest level I've ever seen him.
07:59He and JSN may be tied.
08:01Like they may be close.
08:03But I definitely don't think there's any daylight that JSN's put ahead of him.
08:06Dak Prescott on the connection with 88.
08:10Yeah, I mean, just CeeDee's been great.
08:12Obviously today, but just throughout the whole season, just his demeanor, his mindset, his mentality,
08:19communication throughout each and every play.
08:20And I think today is just a great example of that.
08:23We both had, you know, a little frustration on a play that, you know, maybe we didn't hear right.
08:26He thought that, like, you know, he won, which he did.
08:28But it was just, it was indifferent.
08:30And then right after that, you know, we communicated about it.
08:33And coaches did a great job of moving him around, finding great formation splits to put him in that allowed
08:39him to take advantage.
08:40And honestly, you know, I didn't even realize he had 17 catches until Shadi said it at the end of
08:44the game.
08:44And so that's just credit to him being the guy and the player that he is.
08:48That was the deep ball.
08:50CeeDee won on a double move against Stingley, and he went to the sideline, and I thought we were getting
08:55old CeeDee.
08:56I thought we were getting the temper tantrum.
08:58I thought we were getting the meltdown.
08:59You had a teammate saying, it's okay, it's okay.
09:01And he's basically saying, no, it's not.
09:03And look at how they were able to go ahead and recover.
09:06And look, you got to give a star up to Dak Prescott as well.
09:11Well, 87 yards at the half, and he ends up with .335.
09:16This man put up 248 yards against that defense, and yeah, that defense is not playing like they did last
09:24year.
09:24But we all saw in the first half the pass rush starting to get to him.
09:28They still got Stingley out there, a damn good player.
09:31Yes, they were missing Alshair, but Dak Prescott, star up, and Dak Prescott is clutch.
09:38Yeah, he was really good yesterday.
09:40I mean, that throw to Pickens down the field, it's a great catch by Pickens,
09:44but I mean, that's about as precise as you can get on a ball down the field.
09:48But I mean, he made some big throws.
09:51The Ferguson throw on fourth down, getting things down the field.
09:54The one to the sideline to CeeDee.
09:56CeeDee's one yesterday, but Dak to me is two.
09:59And instead of getting jittery and shutting it down, happy feet, whatever you're thinking at halftime,
10:04and I was too, Dak's second half and against the Blitz at one point.
10:08Five for five for 116.
10:11That was early in the fourth quarter.
10:13He's starting to feel out what they were doing, getting a read for it,
10:16props to Schottenheimer adjustments with whatever they did.
10:19Five for five, 116.
10:22Here's Shoddy on Dak starting rough and then the bounce back.
10:26Knew it would be.
10:27Yeah, I knew it would be.
10:28Again, I've told you guys all week, you know,
10:30Will Anderson will be getting a Pro Bowl vote from me.
10:32He's an elite player.
10:34He does more than just wreak havoc on quarterbacks.
10:37He sniffs out of rounds.
10:38He blocks field goals.
10:40Guy's an elite player.
10:42But Dak, what makes Dak so special is the makeup of the young man
10:47and the competitor that he is and the focus.
10:49And just overall, I thought he was flawless in the second half.
10:55Star up, star down.
10:56Brought to you by Wild Fork Foods.
10:57Is there an easy number three for you?
11:00If not, I know where to go, but I just want to see if something jumped out.
11:03I've got a name that jumped out to me yesterday.
11:05I don't know if it'd be third, but somebody who definitely jumps out.
11:08And there's zero way I could have Peyton play a highlight
11:11because it's Joey Porter, who did not get targeted one time
11:15in 16 coverage snaps yesterday.
11:18And played, it wasn't just, oh, there's vulnerability here.
11:21We're working away from everything I saw.
11:23When I was locked in on him watching him,
11:25he was playing really, really good coverage.
11:27That's the kind of thing that they expect him to do.
11:29And doing it right off the street, basically.
11:32Not off the street, but basically no ramp up,
11:34no playtime, walking in there.
11:35I would have expected some rust.
