00:00The Yankees have Cam Schlittler coming up here tonight, going up against Freddy Peralta.
00:07And you tell me, again, right guy at the right spot.
00:11I was making this comment earlier today, Craig, where it's like, oh, boy, I'm worried about
00:17Schlittler.
00:18He threw 117 pitches.
00:20There are just some guys in the postseason you never want to bet against.
00:27I would never, I don't care what he looked like, I would never bet against Andy Pettit
00:33in the postseason ever if I wanted to make money.
00:36And something tells me Schlittler is that guy as well for the Yankees.
00:41He is just going to get it done, whatever it is required.
00:46He's got that kind of makeup.
00:49117 pitches or not don't care.
00:52I wouldn't bet against, you know, Pettit.
00:55I'm not betting against Schlittler either to get it done in the postseason.
01:00I would like the guys if we could check on the Yankees team total tonight.
01:04What is the Yankees team total?
01:06Because, Joe, how many runs are they going to score for this guy?
01:10Isn't that the bigger factor here?
01:13I mean, Cam Schlittler could easily pitch seven innings, 12 strikeouts, one run, and lose, man.
01:19Like, you're right.
01:21I wouldn't.
01:22Three and a half.
01:24I would never bet against him either.
01:26He has looked as good as anybody outside of Sale.
01:30I think Sale is the only other guy I'd rather have right now.
01:32You're 100% right.
01:34Can I tell you that the Yankees are going to score four runs today?
01:37Absolutely not.
01:38Absolutely not.
01:39I...
01:40And by the way, the Yankees scored their runs on Boston for the most part after the starters were out
01:45of the game.
01:46They were all eight-inning runs when the Yankees went nuts on the Red Sox.
01:48So, I think the Yankees could win.
01:53I could also see this game being 1-1 in the eighth and the Rays winning.
01:56Now, Freddy Peralta, by the way, the Rays figured it out, how to fix him.
02:01And now, all of a sudden, he is good.
02:03It took them two months.
02:05Yes, but he is looking like the old Freddy Peralta that was in Milwaukee from a couple of years ago.
02:10So, under first five, I mean, gosh.
02:15I mean, what other way could you go?
02:16Like, I don't see anything coming today.
02:19I mean, I don't think it's like all of a sudden Junior Caminero is just going to light a fire
02:22and smash Cam Schliller.
02:24I don't see that.
02:25So, gosh.
02:27Like, the pressure is just going to be on these bullpens tonight.
02:30I can't imagine this game is decided until the seventh or eighth inning.
02:34And maybe even the ninth, Joe.
02:35But to your point, agreed.
02:37Not going to bet against that pitcher on the Yankees.
02:41Can't do it.
02:42Not in a postseason.
02:44Just not doing it.
02:45He's so good.
02:46Yes, you figured it out in September when most teams didn't care anymore because they had nothing to play for.
02:53Let's see what Freddy Peralta.
02:55Do you get the Mets version?
02:57We're going to find out here because last I checked, he wasn't all that great in the postseason for the
03:02Brewers either because otherwise they might have actually made it to the dance one time or the other.
03:09Should be a good one.
03:11I don't have a problem, Craig.
03:12Even totals like this, both bullpens rested, had the day off.
03:18There's no reason to think we're going to get more than six and a half runs in this game, right?
03:23I mean, sometimes low totals, you're like, oh, boy, that's so.
03:26No, not in the postseason.
03:28I don't have a problem looking at it under in this either with both bullpens.
03:33Yeah, I probably think that that's the direction to go.
03:37So, when you look at it, outside of Rasmussen, I don't think that any starter scares you on Tampa Bay.
03:46Peralta's not a scary starter.
03:48I think that that's definitely true.
03:50No.
03:51But I go back to, you know, look, how good Schlittler has been.
03:57Six and a third, ten strikeouts when he beat the Red Sox.
04:020.87 earn run average in 20 innings in the postseason.
04:05That's as good as anybody in the history of baseball.
04:07Those things are great.
04:09But, you know, can you guarantee me the Yankees score four runs in this game?
04:14Can you guarantee me that they score three runs in this game?
04:17I just.
04:18Right.
04:19I just, I struggle with that.
04:21So, your point is a good one, though, on Peralta.
04:24That's something to consider, too.
04:25I mean, some of those games he pitched in September were probably against teams that weren't really in it.
04:30But, you know, they got him to, for this moment here.
04:34And then the other thing about Kevin Cash, Joe, similar to the, similar to Vought and similar to some of
04:40the other, like Milwaukee,
04:41is that you know that in the second inning, if Reddy Peralta's already given up a run and two guys
04:46are on, he's coming out of the game.
04:47It's not like he's going to let him go five, six innings.
04:50So, I do think the back end of Tampa's bullpen is better than the Yankees.
04:57I think the Yankees, the Tampa's ninth inning is better than the ninth inning of the Yankees, too.
05:01But, I, I, anything goes in this game tonight.
05:04It's a complete, just like, stay-away game because of how good Schlittler has been.
05:08But, can they get a couple of runs for this guy?
