The India bloc is staging a protest march from Parliament to the Election Commission office in New Delhi, demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The demonstration, named the Save Democracy March, begins from Parliament's Makardhwaj and seeks the Chief Election Commissioner's resignation alongside a review of recent election results. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are slated to lead the opposition mobilisation. However, both the Aam Aadmi Party and the DMK have opted to stay away from the stir. Congress has also announced an extended nationwide Vote Bachao Desh Bachao campaign against alleged electoral irregularities. The planned campaign features block-level rallies and padayatras from October 10, village-level Vote Raksha Chaupals from October 25 to November 25, a mega Chalo Delhi rally at Ramlila Maidan on November 1, and six separate yatras scheduled to converge on the national capital on November 26.

00:16Congress invites Aam Admi Party and DMK also to join the protests, but Aam Admi Party chooses to stay away
00:22from the stir.
00:23So, big India Block protests from Makar Dwar in Parliament to the Election Commission building at 10.30am today in
00:31the National Capital.
00:32This will be against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
00:35Remember, the opposition is demanding the ouster of Gyanesh Kumar from the Election Commission.
00:40And now they will be staging a big march today, which will be from the Parliament's Makar Dwar to the
00:46Election Commission's office.
00:47This will begin at 10.30am today. And India Block will be hitting the streets today.
00:53The name of the march is Safe Democracy March. And this will be held in the National Capital today morning.
00:59And the Congress has also invited Aam Admi Party and DMK to join the protest.
01:03But the Aam Admi Party has decided that it will not be participating in this protest.
01:08My colleague Amit Bhardwaj is now joining us with more details on this.
01:12Amit, a very good morning to you.
01:14So, a big opposition march is slated for today, the Safe Democracy March.
01:18What we are learning is that the Congress had also invited the Aam Admi Party and DMK to join the
01:24protest.
01:24But they will not be participating in this protest.
01:28Which other parties will be, in fact, taking part?
01:32Good morning, Anjali.
01:33This particular protest by India Block, possibly the biggest mobilization by the opposition parties,
01:39united mobilization by the opposition parties against Kyanesh Kumar, is all set to happen today.
01:44At 10.30am, that would start from the Parliament.
01:48Now, three things.
01:50Number one, Aam Admi Party is maintaining distance from this particular march because they are saying that they are not
01:55part of the India Block.
01:56And hence, while we support the ouster of Kyanesh Kumar, the demand for ouster of Kyanesh Kumar,
02:03we will not be participating in this India Block March.
02:07Which means that Aam Admi Party will not be part of today's protest march,
02:12which will be, in most likelihood, led by Abul Gandhi, the leader of opposition in Loksa by itself.
02:18Number two, the DMK factor remains, you know, the trouble issue for India Block.
02:23Ever since the Congress and the DMK split, what we are seeing, that they have been skipping the India Block
02:31meetings,
02:32they have changed their sitting position in the Parliament as well,
02:35and now they did not turn up in the India Block meeting focused on CEC last week,
02:42and they would not be participating in today's march either.
02:45So, if you look at the India Block formation, yes, it looks like a United Front minus DMK.
02:52We can tell our viewers, surely, that that is happening today.
02:56But the bigger question is, Anjali, whether these MPs will be able to march forward as planned by them,
03:02or they will be held, you know, in a way, stop rather, around the transport urban area itself,
03:10as it has happened in the past as well.
03:12All right, Amit, thank you for those details.
03:15We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the opposition's mega-protest that will be beginning at 10
03:21.30am today,
03:22and the Aam Admi Party and the DMK will be staying away from this stir.
03:27We'll go into street showdown over the special intensive revision issue.
03:32India Block is stepping up its campaign against the Election Commission,
03:35with opposition leaders set to march from Parliament's Makar Dwar to the Election Commission office,
03:40demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
03:43Congress is preparing for a sustained nationwide offensive against the Chief Election Commissioner,
03:49demanding his resignation and a re-look at the recent poll results.
03:54They have also invited Aam Admi Party and DMK for the stir.
03:58At a meeting attended by Rahul Gandhi and Malikar Junkarge, Rahul Gandhi reportedly told leaders to stay alert,
04:04be bold and aggressive and keep fighting the battle.
04:07But there is already a split within the opposition camp.
04:10Aam Admi Party has decided to stay away from the protest, saying that it is fighting its own battle
04:15and has its own approach to the SIR issue.
04:18And this is not a one-day protest.
04:20Congress has announced a phased Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao campaign,
04:24with block-level rallies and padhyatras from October 10th,
04:27a village-level vote Rakshat Chowpals from October 25th,
04:31and a mega-rally at Delhi's Ram Leela Meidan on November 1st.
04:34And on November 26th, six separate yatras are planned to converge on Delhi.
04:41For an aggressive, national-wide campaign against Vote Chowpals,
04:50Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao.
04:54This is a slogan.
04:56A continuous, aggressive campaign.
04:59Till Gyanesh Kumar is removed and the system has to be corrected.
05:06Followed by the CWC decisions and the India Islands meeting,
05:12we are going for a massive campaign throughout the country.
05:18You know that the election commission becomes the cheating commission of India.
05:22We demand Gyaneshwar Kumar's resignation.
05:25We are united.
05:26All the 19 parties, 20 parties of the India Islands will be together
05:31and we will march to election commissioner Karge Saab,
05:34our leader of opposition Rahul Gandhiji will lead the march
05:37and we are united and we will fight it out
05:39till Gyanesh Kumar resigns.
05:44So, Congress has announced its Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao campaign.
05:48Let's take a look at what the campaign looks like
05:51and what are the key dates.
05:52So, from October 10th till October 20th,
05:55there will be block-level campaigns
05:57which will include bike rallies, padhyatras, cycle rallies
06:00which have been planned.
06:01Then from October 25th till November 25th,
06:04which is a one-month period,
06:06there will be village-level campaign
06:08which will include Vote Rakshak Chaupals
06:10which will be held across villages.
06:13And then on November 1st,
06:14there will be a mega rally in the national capital.
06:17It will be called Chalo Delhi Rally
06:19which will be held at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital.

06:25there will be Chalo Delhi Yatras
