Speaking live from a Delhi Police bus following his detention, Congress leader Pawan Khera shared details of the INDIA alliance protest at Akashvani Bhawan. Khera asserted that opposition parties had publicly announced their meeting request, dismissing claims by the Election Commission. Demanding the removal of the poll body chief, he declared, 'Gyanesh Gupta has to go.' He stated that despite assurances that a meeting would be arranged, police suddenly swooped down on the demonstrators who had prepared to spend the night. Detailing physical mistreatment, Khera affirmed, 'Each one of us was manhandled,' adding that multiple leaders sustained injuries while being transported to an unknown location.

00:00I think we have Pawan Khera with us, Ranjir Sabha MP. He's in the bus right now. Mr. Khera, thank
00:05you for joining us.
00:06Can you give us details what really happened? Where are they taking you, sir?
00:10We have no idea where they're taking us. All of our leaders have been detained and we have been taken
00:16to, well, so-called unclosed location.
00:30Mr. Khera, so they're driving you out and they haven't told you where they're taking you?
00:34They haven't told us. We've been driven around 40 minutes. We still don't know where we are going.
00:40Mr. Khera, please, you know, the election commission has gone on record to say that no formal request was made
00:47by the India Alliance partners for a meeting.
00:51What do they want? They want a wedding kind of an invitation or what?
00:55Yesterday it was announced publicly that Ganesh Gupta only listens to the news which covers BJP, doesn't listen to what
01:02the opposition has to say.
01:04It's very strange. I must say very precautious.
01:10Mr. Khera, are you now, wherever you are going to be taken, you've been detained, does the protest continue?
01:17Are you going to come back in protest or is it what was announced after the CWC and the India
01:23Alliance meeting
01:24that there is going to be now multiple protests on a daily basis?
01:28Has today's protest ended, sir?
01:32Every day.
01:35You're saying the protests will continue every day, Mr. Khera?
01:39Absolutely. Ganesh Gupta has to go.
01:43Mr. Khera, why do you think today the Delhi police showed a fair amount of restraint,
01:47not so much like what had happened in front of Seven Lok Kalyan Magh when Rahul Gandhi had protested there,
01:53where they immediately had physically evicted him?
01:56Why wait nine hours to detain you in the manner in which the Delhi police did today?
02:01They kept telling us that, yes, they will ensure that Ganesh meets us.
02:06But it never happened.
02:07And then suddenly they swooped upon us.
02:10Mr. Khera, are you saying it was conveyed to you by the Delhi police
02:14that the election commission was going to meet you and the CEC would meet you?
02:18No, they kept telling us that, yes, we should be able to meet him tomorrow or something.
02:23But it never happened.
02:24No assurance is came. Nothing happened.
