00:12in Marvel's Wolverine. Suits don't come with any perks in this game, so we'll be judging
00:17these purely from a cosmetic standpoint.

00:39Worst, Feral Suit. The Feral Suit takes its look from the game's opening cutscene when
00:44Nathaniel Essex comes across Logan in the Wilderness. Except, unlike many other story costumes that
00:50are unlocked just by playing, this one costs 300 materials and can't be unlocked until
00:55the I'm Still Here story mission, the 27th out of 30.
01:09On top of costing more materials than most others, it's just not a good look. An unshaven, unclean
01:16Wolverine just running about in his undies. It was supposedly inspired by another feral look
01:22of Wolverines, as seen in the 100th issue of his solo comic, released in 1996. But with
01:28a more rabid appearance and a ripped-up X-Men uniform, there's much more to it than what
01:33we get in the game.
01:34I have a home here for people who are special, like you.
01:38Best, Ultimate Red Suit. The Ultimate Red Suit is one of Logan's newest looks
01:44from the comics, having debuted in the 2025 Ultimate Wolverine series, which reimagines the
01:49famous mutant as the Winter Soldier. The costume blends elements of both, and the developers
01:54did a great job transitioning the look to their game.
02:03The Winter Soldier's mouthpiece pairs well with Logan's cowl, and the giant red Russian
02:08star emblazoned across his chest also brings a giant X to mind. Not for nothing, but you
02:14can also get one of the game's best suits fairly early on. It only takes 150 materials,
02:20and is craftable at the start of the one that got away, the game's fifth mission.
02:34Worst, Fang Suit. Unfortunately, not every comic look transitions well from page to game.
02:40You can unlock the Fang Suit the same way as the Ultimate Red Suit by reaching the fifth
02:45mission and using 150 materials to craft it. Obviously, we think you'd be better suited
02:50with the former choice.
02:52All right. Smart. Let's go.
02:55This one is based on a very brief look that comes from 1977's Uncanny X-Men number 107,
03:02and it definitely looks like it came out that decade, which doesn't exactly gel with the game's
03:06more realistic visuals. The somewhat silly look, made to be grounded, just doesn't work,
03:12from Logan's hair, to the skin-tight leotard, to the spikes and skulls that adorn his chest and waist.
03:19It's cold. I had never seen nothing like this.
03:24Best, Helverine Suit. Another one of Logan's newer looks, the Helverine Suit first debuted in 2023's
03:31Wolverine number 36. Regardless, an appearance that mixes Wolverine and Ghost Rider together is
03:37a clear win for us.
03:47So many elements are just plain cool, from the chain wrapped around Logan's arm, to the charred
03:52marrow claws you unlock with it, to the flames from his skull that form the shape of his hair.
03:58And, as a bonus, wearing this suit during Logan's motorcycle rescue mission causes his bike wheels
04:03to catch on fire. A skin this cool does take some effort to unlock, though, by earning an
04:08Adamantium rank, at least 40,000 points, in all three of the game's Nightmare Gauntlet Trials.
04:19Hey, for the trouble.
04:22Worst, Future Fugitive Suit. Although the Helverine Suit is a great reward for reaching
04:27Adamantium rank in the Nightmare Gauntlet Trials, we can't say the same of the reward for the gold
04:33rank. By earning at least 20,000 points in each challenge, you'll unlock the future Fugitive
04:38Suit, along with the Techno Organic Claws, which Logan first wore in 2023's ex-Deaths of Wolverine
04:44number 1.
04:48It's another suit that looks much better on page than it does in-game.
04:52The high-tech, armored look with gold accents is way too overly textured, making it feel
04:58out of place not only with the game, but with the character. It isn't as if these trials
05:03are easy, so it's a shame this suit misses the mark.
05:08Alright.
05:11Best, Animated Suit. Just as Insomniac has included several animated suits in its Spider-Man games,
05:17Logan gets two animated looks in Marvel's Wolverine. One based on Marvel-Tokan Fighting Souls, the
05:23other, and the better in our opinion, inspired by the 90s animated series.
05:35You don't get the chance to craft this costume until later in the game. It can be unlocked for
05:40200 materials at the start of the Way Down Low mission, the 22nd in the game. While it may look
05:46a
05:46little off in cutscenes, with cartoon Wolverine interacting with much more realistic-looking
05:51character models, that doesn't stop it from being an awesome costume. Maybe it's a little
05:56bit of nostalgia bait, but we fell for it.
05:59Yeah. We're off to a hell of a start.
06:04Worst, Night Hunt Suit. The Night Hunt Suit is one that's original to Marvel's Wolverine,
06:09and is one of five that are unlocked by either buying or upgrading to the digital deluxe version
06:14of the game. While locking skins behind deluxe editions is nothing new, it becomes an issue
06:19when they a don't look very good, and b don't come with any perks.
06:24Too much salt in the air.
06:25The Night Hunt suit makes Logan look like a souped-up security guard with muted tones of
06:31black, blue, and gray. Not only is it pretty lifeless compared to other costumes in the game,
06:36but you had to pay extra to get this. And for that, players deserved better.
06:51Best, Classic Brown Suit. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Wolverine fan that doesn't adore the
06:58classic brown and yellow suit, which Logan first wore back in 1980's Uncanny X-Men number 139.
07:04It's one of his most recognizable retro looks, from the 1992 X-Men arcade game to the brief
07:10but cheer-worthy easter egg in Deadpool and Wolverine.
07:13Gonna race some hell.
07:16I'd love to.
07:17Although naturally pretty easy to get right, Insomniac did a great job styling it to their
07:22world. The suit could be crafted at the start of Way Down Low, the game's 22nd mission,
07:27for 250 materials. Or, if you pre-ordered the game, you got it for free upon starting the fifth
07:32mission, the one who got away. Either way, a very cool suit most of us probably spent a
07:37fair amount of time playing in.
07:47Worst, Ablation Suit.
07:49One of the other suits players unlock the ability to craft during the fifth mission is the
07:53Ablation Suit, this time for 200 materials. Unless you're planning on unlocking every single
07:58costume, we'd advise saving your materials. It's based on a suit that Wolverine wore in
08:04his 2014 series, armor he had to wear after losing his healing factor. In the game, it
08:09looks like he's wearing a full motorcycle outfit, and not in a good way.
08:18The leather armor look is another one that just doesn't work. The short cowl looks awkward,
08:23and it's essentially a onesie, which definitely takes away from Wolverine's rough demeanor.

08:56Best, X-Force Suit.
08:58Simple, yet sleek, and soaked and cool, the X-Force Suit is one of Wolverine's most badass
09:04looks. The black and silver costume debuted in 2008's X-Force No. 1 and was clearly designed
09:10with stealth in mind. You can unlock the ability to craft it for 200 materials once you reach
09:16the 14th mission, Get Angry. And you absolutely should, because this is how you do a proper semi-armored
09:23Wolverine.
09:23Get up.
09:28It left me some.
09:30The textures of the suit look great, as do the red eyes on the all-black cowl. It's a great
09:35match for
09:35Wolverine's actual in-game missions, and the blood and viscera against the dark suit is always an
09:41aesthetic delight.
