00:01Introducing in the ring from Beryl Beach, Florida, weighing 233 pounds, the Red Rooster!
00:12Or the Mecca of manhood, as I understand he likes to be called.
00:16The Mecca of what?
00:17Mecca of manhood.
00:18Got it, got it.
00:21Not too much of a macho name then to be the Mecca of manhood.
00:24Man, here's opponent, making his way to the ring area.
00:27Hails from Union City, Tennessee, weighing 229 pounds, the Birdman, Coco B.
00:36Where?
00:37But where is Frankie?
00:39Where is Frankie?
00:41Maybe Frankie's been on the road too long.
00:44Maybe he's, uh, got that white tuxedo on man.
00:50And, uh, the Birdman looks really, really fine tonight.
00:54Ah, yes.
00:55Uh, really, really class outfit there.
00:58Yeah, white on black, brother.
00:59He's right there, man.
01:00He looks red.
01:02Excellent color combination.
01:04I think the Red Rooster somewhat envies the attire of Coco B.
01:10Ladies and gentlemen, I've been asked to remind you that the Red Rooster is managed exclusively by Bobby the Brain
01:22Heenan.
01:23Who is very conspicuous by his absence here.
01:27But no doubt they have talked by phone from wherever Bobby is.
01:32And the Red Rooster has his instructions on what to do against Coco Beware.
01:39And, uh, certainly Heenan has seen Coco Beware in action on enough occasions to be totally aware of what Coco
01:47Beware can and will do as we look at the Red Rooster.
01:51Well, I'll tell you what, uh, the Rooster better be aware because Coco Beware himself, man, has got a devastating
01:58pile driver, got a devastating dropkick off the top rope.
02:01If he nails you with that, there's no tomorrow, man.
02:04It's over tonight.
02:05The Ghostbusters.
02:06That's it.
02:07That's it.
02:07Has put more than one opponent away.
02:09And the Red Rooster may feel the wrath of Coco Beware and the Ghostbuster before this one is all over.
02:16Now he wants to back off.
02:17Needs some time to.
02:19Primp.
02:19He wants to primp a little bit.
02:20He needs his coiffure here.
02:22Oh, wow.
02:24A little strut there.
02:27I guess that's supposed to be the way a Rooster strut.
02:30Is that it?
02:30I guess so.
02:31Uh, it didn't impress me.
02:35I know the Lord's not impressed.
02:37No.
02:37We've seen a lot better strut than that, Lord.
02:39Yes, I think so.
02:41It really doesn't help his cause against Coco Beware because Coco didn't bother about that strut at all.
02:48Nice wrestling move, though, by Rooster.
02:51And a nice escape by Coco Beware.
02:53Yes, even a better escape.
02:55Yes.
02:57The Rooster better be, uh, forgetting about strutting, forget about, uh, primping, and go ahead and, uh, take care of
03:03business because Coco Beware, he can get the job done.
03:06And I've seen him in there with much bigger people than the Red Rooster and still takes him out.
03:11Take that by the Rooster.
03:13Again, escape by Coco Beware.
03:16Superstar, why would, uh, Rooster wear his knee pads below his knees?
03:20I have no idea unless he's got bad shins and wants to protect his shin.
03:24He may have a shin injury, Lord.
03:26Yes, that's possible.
03:28But it certainly seems to be defeating the purpose of, uh, guarding your knees.
03:33Yes.
03:33I thought that's what they had shin pads for him and knee pads.
03:37Yeah.
03:37Well, maybe he's a little disorientated without Bobby the Brain.
03:40Maybe Brain, uh, the Hina, the Hina maybe needs to tell him, look, put your knee pads up, do this,
03:44do that.
03:45Because, uh, you know, he's, uh, said he's managed his shoes to be by Hina.
03:49And so, uh, he's taken every, uh, every bit of, uh, leadership from the Brain, even maybe pulling up the
03:54knee pads.
03:54Who knows?
03:55Side headlock and a hip toss by the Red Rooster, following that hard shoulder block, which really stunned Coco Beware.
04:05Close-up camera work.
04:07As always in the World Wrestling Federation, the very best it can be.
04:11And the Rooster better have a lot more than a side headlock going for him, Lord.
04:15Oh, yeah.
04:15And, uh, Rod, because, uh, Coco, his arsenal man, he's loaded.
04:19He's loaded to the max.
04:21And a little show of strength here, test of strength.
04:26And it's the Red Rooster who comes out in front on this one.
04:29And again, that shoulder block.
04:31And again, Coco Beware hits the deck.
04:35Superstar, looking at the records of both these men and us having observed them from such a very close range.
04:43Also, Rod, I would say probably on the whole of this card here this evening, they're about the most evenly
04:49matched.
04:49No question about it, Lord.
04:51Good observation.
04:52I'll tell you what, uh, uh, the Rooster's got height on him.
04:55But I think, uh, Coco's got some weight, man.
04:57The Coco man, he's built like a block of granite.
05:00Short, stubby, and hard to take off his feet, man.
05:04Yeah, good low center of gravity.
05:05That always makes for a good wrestler.
05:10Exchange of viewpoints in the center of the ring.
05:13And referee Joe Morella stepping between the Rooster.
05:17Rooster trying to psych out, uh, Coco Beware,
05:19but he's not gonna get the job done like that.
05:20No, no, no, no, no way.
05:22Not by talking, brother.
05:23Look at him.
05:24He's teasing, daunting, everything.
05:26And Coco really doesn't care.
05:31Coco saying, come on, man.
05:33Lay one on me.
05:36You'll find out what I do in such situations.
05:40Conor on elbow, side headlock.
05:44Coco beware, ducks under.
05:46And now it's the Red Rooster's turn to hit the neck.
05:49Not once, but twice.
05:52Three and three times.
05:53Solid tackles.
05:54Wow.
05:55Solid indeed.
05:59I think Coco should've went outside, followed him outside, man.
06:02It did some damage.
06:04The tip counts, not only for the man outside,
06:05but it was for the man inside, too, to take advantage of it.
06:08The Rooster went out very, very hard then.
06:11I think there was a wet surface out there somewhere.
06:13He took another bump outside.
06:15He went out hard, and he went down hard.
06:18Yes, he did.
06:18From three crunching shoulder blocks.
06:20You don't see a block put on any better in the National Football League
06:25than we have seen here by Coco Beware.
06:28And he is not about to be intimidated by the Red Rooster.
06:33Oh, come on.
06:35Go after him, Coco.
06:36Go after him.
06:37That's exactly right.
06:38You turn your back on somebody in the World Wrestling Federation.
06:41Try to turn your back on the Hulkster or the Macho Man,
06:44the World Wrestling Federation champion,
06:45and see what happens.
06:46You'll get nailed every time.
06:47Actually, I see that a little bit different.
06:49I think that that was a ruse that the Rooster tried to work on Coco
06:54for him to attack him, and Coco didn't go for it.
06:57Nothing is going the Rooster's way right now.
07:00Absolutely nothing.
07:03Quick to get back into the fray.
07:05And a pugilistic pose by both of them.
07:08Now again, he turns the back.
07:10Oh, come on.
07:12Coco should go in and nail him,
07:13because one of these times he's going to turn his back on Coco,
07:16and he's going to nail Coco.
07:17That's what he might be setting him up for, Lord.
07:19Yes, it's highly possible.
07:21He's a very cagey, wily wrestler, the Rooster.
07:24And Mahina's done a good job on him.
07:28Right here it goes.
07:30Oh, right on the side of the head, to the side of the face.
07:34And what's all about that, he telegraphed that, Rod.
07:36Hey!
07:37And Coco beware answers in kind.
07:44Mr. Red Rooster needs a timeout.
07:48As Coco beware checks his jaw to make sure that everything is all right.
07:52And the Red Rooster is wondering, hey, what's going wrong here?
07:55What am I doing wrong?
07:57This is not going the way I want it to go.
07:59The first thing he did wrong was sign a contract and wrestle Coco.
08:03First thing he did, and then he showed up.
08:05Yeah.
08:06Coco beware.
08:07The Red Rooster.
08:09Here at the Boston Garden.
08:11I'm Rod Trongard.
08:12Along with Lord Alfred Hayes and superstar Billy Graham.
08:16And now the Red Rooster on the attack as the exchange blows in the center of the ring.
08:22And it's Coco beware coming on.
08:26And the bells ring in the head of the Red Rooster who just about...
08:30Oh, there he goes.
08:31Right in our lap.
08:32Right in our lap.
08:34What the fuck?
08:34Unbelievable.
08:35Holy mackerel.
08:36Unbelievable.
08:40I don't know if he's all right or not.
08:41I don't really care.
08:42Good Lord.
08:43But there's a count going on.
08:44Right now there's a count going on.
08:46And I can't get out of the way.
08:49I'm pinned in here.
08:51Well, there it goes.
08:52Here we go again.
08:53We're going to get another look at this.
08:56Right in our lap he's going to come.
08:58I don't know if I'm going to want to watch this.
09:00Hold your breath.
09:01Here he comes.
09:03Ah.
09:04Yeah.
09:08Lord Alfred, you made out all right in that one.
09:10You were in the right place.
09:11I was lucky.
09:12He split me and you.
09:13You and I, Rod.
09:14He split us.
09:15And our head technician, the main man of the World Wrestling Federation,
09:18Nelson Sweatler here, got a piece of the action too.
09:21Right up.
09:21I think Nelson nailed him on the way by, Lord.
09:24I've seen Nelson nailed in this position before.
09:26Yes.
09:27A close proximity to the ring could be dangerous.
09:29I'm telling you right now.
09:31Yeah, he should get danger money sitting over there.
09:34Hazard pay, I guess.
09:35Hazard pay.
09:40Hazard pay.
09:41He has Coco beware where he wants him.
09:43But watch.
09:44He'll get nowhere going to throw his head into the turnbuckle.
09:47Not the head that Coco's got, man.
09:48It's rock hard.
09:49He just found out with a right-hand shotgun for you.
09:51He made a crack.
09:56Side headlock by Coco.
09:58That'll get you nowhere, Coco.
09:59Hip toss.
10:00Forget the side headlock, Lord and Rod.
10:02What a lapse.
10:03Oh, he nearly left his shoulder.
10:04Should've went for a pinfall.
10:07Should've dropped some elbows.
10:08Maybe set him up with a big drop kick off the top, but forget the side headlock right now.
10:12That'll get you nowhere.
10:14No, he's only giving the rooster a chance to take a breather and to recover a lot of energy and
10:21a lot of strength, too.
10:23And I'll tell you what.
10:23I saw a perfect chance for Coco beware to give him a standing drop kick as the rooster was backing
10:29up on his posterior, sliding up, sliding back towards the rope.
10:33Coco should've nailed him with a standing drop kick while he was on his knees right there.
10:36Well, knocked him out cold and took a pinfall, Lord.
10:38He missed a golden opportunity.
10:41Coco did.
10:42Coco beware really grinding away with that side headlock, however, and that can do some damage.
10:47That'll wear you down a bit, but it won't get a submission out of you.
10:50Or a pinfall.
10:51Or a pinfall.
10:54All a part of the process, however, I would certainly believe.
10:59Right now, the rooster trying to muscle his way out of trouble here.
11:04Coco beware.
11:08Beware, Coco.
11:12They're up at the top.
11:13And Coco beware maintains.
11:16Well, he has a side headlock.
11:17Wow.
11:18Another hard shoulder.
11:19Indeed.
11:20Look at this backbreaker.
11:22Oh, wow.
11:23He really, really jammed him.
11:25Oh, he jammed him.
11:28But the rooster's slow to recover, Lord and Rod.
11:32What a great counter move that was, catching Coco off the ropes, but he's slow to make the move himself.
11:36I have to believe that if he would have turned him over and had him in this predicament or position
11:41or situation immediately after that backbreaker, this one would be all over.
11:46I believe it, too, man.
11:47He would have got a fast one, two, three, way too long.
11:49I believe it was knocked half unconscious himself by the combination of the fall between both of them.
11:56And now the red rooster quick to follow up on the attack.
12:00Goes into a side headlock on his own.
12:03Beware pushes him off.
12:04Back and forth.
12:06Back and forth.
12:06Leapfrog.
12:08Again, a leapfrog.
12:10Now a dropkick.
12:11Coco beware!
12:13And the rooster doesn't like it at all.
12:16He is stunned.
12:18Face first he goes on the canvas, actually on the floor outside of the ring.
12:24And those two people expended a lot of energy in that exchange of moves, Lord and Rod.
12:29A lot of energy was expended.
12:31Yes, I was rather surprised that Coco, he dug down and he brought up some reserves of power and strength
12:37there and made some really brilliant moves.
12:40Uh-oh, what's the red rooster think he's doing now?
12:44Well, he wouldn't be doing that if Heenum was here.
12:46He didn't grab him by the head of the hair and throw him back in the ring.
12:48He grabs a hold of a flashlight or a billy club or whatever it is from one of the security
12:53people here at the Boston Garden.
12:55Tries to take it into the ring and then thinks better of it.
13:02I think the red rooster is just a little bit puzzled by what's happening here.
13:07I think he felt he could put this man away long before now.
13:11I think he was stalling for time there for a breather.
13:14He's done that several times and each time he's come back a little stronger.
13:18And quite honestly, what Superstar said a little while ago was that Coco missed a golden opportunity to finish his
13:26man off.
13:27And they don't come too often.
13:30Red rooster with a shoulder block and the red rooster with a shot to the head.
13:33Another one right on a button.
13:37Again.
13:38However, Coco beware answers and fires back.
13:42Again, flat on his back is the red rooster.
13:44Go in and make your move, Coco.
13:46Don't give him time to beg off.
13:48That's a cardinal sin right here.
13:51Whip by Beware.
13:53He went all the way to the post.
13:56All the way.
13:57Caught his shoulder flush on that steel post.
14:00Oh, I could dislocate that shoulder rod.
14:02Lord.
14:03Very easily.
14:04Batman, the red rooster.
14:06None.
14:07Well, he's not in the best of shape is what I mean to say.
14:10Yeah.
14:10He's a follow up though.
14:12He's a dire strength.
14:13That shoulder's got to be heard.
14:14Got to be.
14:15Something could be pulled.
14:16Something could have broke on that shot.
14:17And he sees that.
14:18And he is indeed going to work on that left arm and left shoulder as he has it wrapped around
14:23the top rope.
14:24And Coco Beware unable to do much of anything right now except take the punishment that the red rooster is
14:31dishing out.
14:33Outside of the ring, onto the apron.
14:36Oh, you see what happened there as the red rooster jumps to the floor and hangs on to the left
14:42arm.
14:43And Coco Beware as he has it draped over that top rope and stretches it out a little bit more.
14:48And now goes back to work on the shoulder.
14:51The deltoid muscles of that left shoulder have to be screaming.
14:55They've got to be gone.
14:56They've got to be torn loose with the rotator cuff.
14:58Coco's shoulder's got to be shot.
15:01He slams him on it right here.
15:06Coco Beware in a bad way.
15:08He's ready to go, but not that way.
15:10No, no.
15:10He isn't going to get him here.
15:11Laura, that was a stupid attempt to finish the ball.
15:15Really, what a stupid move to make.
15:16He's doing so well.
15:17He's picking his shots.
15:19He's measuring Coco.
15:20He's got a maximum effect from him.
15:22And then he does a silly thing like that.
15:24Yes, I'm just going to say, Rod, if Heenan would have been here, he would have got a big reprimand
15:29for a attempt to finish the ball like that.
15:30And Heenan would have probably withheld his pass too.
15:34And it looked like he would have been able to put Coco Beware away if he would have put some
15:40effort into it.
15:40But Beware does come back with a blast of his own with his boot, flexing that left shoulder, trying to
15:46get some circulation back in it and the arm.
15:48The left arm of Coco Beware right now is absolutely useless.
15:52He is a one-armed wrestler.
15:54Oh.
15:56Neck breaker.
15:57Yes.
15:57By the Red Rooster.
15:59Coming off those ropes.
16:01Coming over.
16:03Covers.
16:03Coco Beware.
16:04Two count.
16:07Good.
16:08Good attempt by the Rooster there because he took a lot of energy out of himself with that.
16:14And Coco really, I thought, would have been down then.
16:18Mistake here, Rod and Lord.
16:19He's going for the head, going for a chin lock of some sort and he should be working on the
16:24injured shoulder.
16:24If he worked on the injured shoulder and put the man in a hammerlock, I guarantee he'd get a submission
16:29right now out of Coco.
16:30Yes, he has some lapses of concentration at times.
16:34And I'm afraid that's where Heenan has got to work on him.
16:38No question about it.
16:39And that's the value of Heenan right now.
16:40I guarantee he would tell him, forget the neck and go for the shoulder, man.
16:44You've got the shoulder hurt.
16:45It's almost dislocated probably.
16:47Go for a hammerlock and cinch up on it.
16:49And Coco would have to say, I give up, Rod.
16:51I'm sure Bobby is watching this somewhere and not happy at all with the way his man is performing.
16:56And Coco has that thick upper body, thick neck muscles, thick trapezius, and it's difficult to hurt a man there.
17:04Right now, the Rooster seems to be in control.
17:10However, it is Coco Beware digging that left elbow into the solar plexus of the Red Rooster who has him
17:18again right where he wants him.
17:20Except that, again, he should be working on that shoulder as opposed to the move that he is using.
17:25But this too in itself is a punishing hold.
17:28And Coco Beware, you see the expression on his face is certainly not in the best of places.
17:33I like what Lord Alfred Hayes said.
17:36Bobby the Brain might even withhold his purse.
17:38Ha!
17:39I bet you he will.
17:40Because he's...
17:41It's a good...
17:42It's a good explanation.
17:43Knowing the brain and how ruthless and how gutless the brain is.
17:47All he controls is men.
17:49I guarantee you there's a reprimand coming because I'm telling you from experience he should be working on the shoulder.
17:55The shoulder was probably dislocated.
17:57The man is a waste of time going after the neck.
17:59Lord Alfred Hayes made a great point.
18:01Coco's neck is thick.
18:02He's got a strong neck.
18:05Strong head.
18:06Forget about that.
18:07Go back to the shoulder, man.
18:09Superstar talking about the purse and withholding it.
18:13I wonder how much he withholds of the purse now.
18:17Red Rooster trying to get Coco Beware over.
18:20Cannot.
18:21I'm just wondering as you gentlemen are talking, what in the world is going to happen if the Red Rooster
18:26doesn't put Coco Beware away?
18:29Then what is Bobby Heenan going to do?
18:32Well, we'll wait and see if indeed we have to concern ourselves with that at all.
18:36The Rooster now, front face lock trying to get him up and get him down.
18:40Oh, hey.
18:41Off balance.
18:42Cover.
18:42Boom.
18:43It was almost a three count for Coco Beware.
18:48A somersault over.
18:50Sunset flip.
18:50He's got him.
18:54Almost a win for Coco Beware.
18:57Oh, look out.
18:58Went for the eyes.
18:59He went for the eyes.
19:00He did right there.
19:02The Red Rooster went for Coco's eyes.
19:03Gave him a heartbreak across the eyes.
19:05Looks like he's getting more vicious now.
19:08I can sense it.
19:09I can feel it, man.
19:10It's time something's going to happen here one way or another, Lord.
19:13It's desperation now.
19:16Some of these moves are completely made in desperation.
19:20Rooster tucking his head under the chin of Coco Beware and then pulling Coco Beware's head down or chin down
19:28onto the head of the Rooster.
19:30Oh!
19:31Coco Beware caught him.
19:32Counter move.
19:33Great counter move.
19:34Good thinking.
19:35He wants to go for that drop kick.
19:36Maybe the Ghostbuster.
19:39Let's be watching closely here.
19:41The Rooster takes a run.
19:43He takes a whip.
19:44He takes a clothesline.
19:47Coco Beware.
19:48Hey, he's got it back together.
19:50Does he ever?
19:51And he is unloading on the Red Rooster.
19:54One arm bandit.
19:55That's all he's got is a good right arm.
19:57That's all he's using.
19:57That's all he needs.
19:58Wow!
19:59A double sledge to the head of the Red Rooster.
20:03And the crowd wants him to put him away.
20:07But that's easier said than done for sure.
20:10A little bit of confusion right there.
20:12Reversal.
20:14Coco Beware ducks under.
20:15Ducks under again.
20:18And the bell rings.
20:20The time has run out.
20:21Here is that flying crossbody is going to beef or not for Coco Beware.
20:28It might have been the finishing touch on the Red Rooster.
20:30It was a finishing touch.
20:31Yes, it was.
20:32Did time expire?
20:33Yes, it did, apparently.
20:34Let's go to the ring for the announcement.
20:37Ladies and gentlemen, the time on this bout has expired.
20:40The official decision.
20:42A draw.
20:44Oh, that's too bad.
20:45That is too bad.
20:46Coco beware.
20:48Too little, too late.
20:50I think Coco should ask for five more minutes.
20:52Who knows, the Rooster might give it to him.
20:55I kind of doubt it.
20:56They both don't want to win.
20:56They don't want to draw.
20:58Who wants to draw, man?
20:59You don't want to go home with a draw.
21:00You're working as hard as these people worked.
21:02Apparently, he does.
21:04Apparently, he does.
21:05Well, wait a minute.
21:05Here he comes or starts back in whether he's going to continue or not.
21:11He will have to make that decision.
21:13Coco beware certainly wants him to come in.
21:16And here comes the Rooster.
21:17However, maybe a draw is better than a loss because if the Rooster comes back in, he might get a
21:21loss.
21:23This one is over, but it's not over.
21:27It has been declared a draw and out goes the Red Rooster.
21:30Time has expired.
21:31And there goes the Red Rooster.
21:33The excitement continues here from the Boston Garden as you look at Coco beware.
21:39Frustrated, I'm sure.
21:41Red Rooster.
21:42Red Rooster.
