00:00This is scheduled for one fall with a 20-minute time limit.
00:03Introducing in the ring from Brooklyn, New York, weighing 243 pounds, Steve Lombardi.
00:18His opponent soon to be making his way to the ring from parts unknown.
00:23Weighing 275 pounds, here comes the ultimate warrior.
00:32Ultimate warrior about to make his way down to the ring here.
00:35As we look at this capacity crowd on hand,
00:39whenever the World Wrestling Federation decides to invade somewhere, it's standing room only.
00:44Which I think is indicative of the quality of wrestlers and the personalities that make up the World Wrestling Federation.
00:53Oh, there he is.
00:55I'd like to see a matchup, Nick Bockwinkle, between this guy, the ultimate warrior,
00:59and rivishing Rick Rue.
01:01Uh, I think it'd be very interesting.
01:03I guess the question is, uh, which one of them is more impressed with themselves, uh,
01:10and would concentrate more on the match rather than themselves?
01:12I think it'd be pretty close.
01:14Definitely.
01:20He's got them on their feet here.
01:23He kind of does indicate that man isn't long out of the tree, doesn't he?
01:28Well...
01:28He might want to steal your moniker.
01:31It doesn't happen by accident to look like that.
01:33It takes a lot of dedication, a lot of time, a lot of money.
01:38A lot of narcissistic, uh, blood running through his veins, too, I'd have to say.
01:42Oh, absolutely.
01:42No question.
01:43Steve Lombardi, on the other hand, uh, graduate of the Terry Garvin School of Self-Defense,
01:50has done very well for himself here in the World Wrestling Federation.
01:53Sort of, I don't know, patterns himself after Pat Patterson.
01:58Well, that's understandable.
02:00Uh, Pat Patterson was a great wrestler, so he was, uh, Terry Garvin.
02:04Uh, of course, they taught Steve Lombardi to be a wrestler, not just a man with a lot
02:10of muscles showing it to the world.
02:11Well, let's see if they taught him any way to get by a guy who's got the kind of power
02:17that the Ultimate Warrior has.
02:22It won't take long.
02:24Well, we'll have to see.
02:28Well, that's mistake number two.
02:32Nice duck underneath.
02:34That's mistake number three.
02:36And that's the best move he's made so far.
02:39Well, he's rather smart on his part.
02:41Get out of there while, uh, getting is good.
02:43I hate to say it, the Ultimate Warrior does it when you're trying to beat on a human tree stump.
02:50I'm going to ask him one day, uh, if I corner him somewhere, the Ultimate Warrior, why the paint?
02:55What is it significant of?
02:57I'm curious of that, too.
02:59You know, but I mean, you know, it's kind of like Elizabeth Taylor said she didn't have confidence
03:02until she passed 50 years old.
03:04Maybe this man with all the power and all the muscles that he's got doesn't have confidence to show you,
03:09you know, what tree he came out of?
03:12Well, I'm sure it's significant and indicative of something.
03:16Well, buddy, with a whip, no, reversal by the Warrior.
03:19Whoa!
03:19Excuse me.
03:21Almost decapitated him.
03:24As you and I would both have to agree, the only way that Steve Lombardi is going to make any
03:29headway with a man that's got this power, this size, this strength, get him off his feet.
03:34Absolutely.
03:35I can't believe that's not the first move he would make.
03:39Well, uh, one demerit for Terry Garvin.
03:43Yes.
03:44Two for Pat Patterson.
03:45Absolutely.
03:49Lombardi says, wait a minute.
03:51He wants to talk about this.
03:53Steve's going to have to do a lot more than talk.
03:55A little psychological ploy move here.
03:58As long as he can follow it up with something rather witty and intelligent that he does with his body.
04:03Well, we'll see.
04:05Such as a unique wrestling move.
04:09Wants to start all over.
04:12Might be a mistake just to shake hands with this guy.
04:15It is.
04:18Well, that's five mistakes so far for Lombardi.
04:22Atomic drop coming up.
04:25Nailed him with it.
04:26Oh, shoulder first.
04:27Maybe into the steel post.
04:29Couldn't tell from Arvanic's point.
04:30He might have rammed it.
04:34What a reverse knife edge.
04:35I'm glad I retired.
04:37Of course, you haven't reached that point in your career yet.
04:39Oh, no, no.
04:39But I mean, I'm still sitting here realizing that, uh, with one boot on the wall, I see some of
04:45the things that are taking place.
04:47I'm quick to want to put the other one up there too.
04:49We'll put another nail in the wall in a hurry and get it up there.
04:52We got it.
04:53These guys are bigger and badder than they ever were.
04:56They truly are.
04:59Lombardi now with a little offense.
05:02I believe he bit him.
05:05Well, I guess you have to do anything you can.
05:08I don't condone biting.
05:10He didn't get the best of that exchange.
05:12No, he sure didn't.
05:14Warrior a little bit slow on that particular maneuver.
05:16Gave Lombardi plenty of time to get out of there.
05:18Well, this is the way Lombardi is going to have to go about it.
05:20He's going to have to allow the Warrior to do these things where the Warrior believes he's got all this
05:26strength that he can use.
05:27And then step out of the way.
05:30Let him run into the wall.
05:31Let him run into the tree.
05:32And as consequently, you know, this gives Lombardi tremendous advantage because the big man takes, goes into the ropes, and
05:40now he's at his throat, sitting on the middle rope for some time.
05:44Well, you take the wind out of the guy, and I don't care how big he is, he doesn't become
05:48bad anymore.
05:49He's just big.
05:50Just big.
05:52Lombardi doing a good job of that.
05:54Foot right over the esophagus.
05:57Using the ropes for leverage.
05:58Almost got a five count there.
06:00Was almost disqualified.
06:01Whoa!
06:02Got shot right out of the ring.
06:04Big man still had enough oxygen to get one big push out of it.
06:08And Steve is back.
06:10Perched up there.
06:11Second turnbuckle on the inside.
06:13Double axe handle.
06:15Nailed him with it.
06:15Should have nailed him from behind.
06:17He should not have waited until he turned around.
06:19Why give him an extra second or two?
06:22Oh!
06:25Lombardi plants one in the lower abdomen.
06:27Oh, I'd say part of it was right in the solar plexus.
06:30Hooks the leg, but no way.
06:32Still too much power left in that body to do that.
06:35That's it, baby!
06:36This is a bad move.
06:37If he doesn't choke the ultimate warrior,
06:40he is foolishly actually allowing the ultimate warrior
06:42to catch a breather here.
06:44It is a choke.
06:45He's underneath the chin with a forearm.
06:46It's obvious.
06:47That's your opinion.
06:49The referee is the one that's got to stick his hand in there
06:51and really find out.
06:52Well, if it's underneath the chin, it's a choke.
06:54My boy.
06:55That's only if it's on the esophagus.
06:56Oh, excuse me.
07:01And if it was on the esophagus,
07:02that would mean the ultimate warrior wouldn't be breathing
07:04and he wouldn't be coming to his feet.
07:06He certainly is.
07:07Look out.
07:10Well planted boot.
07:12Big elbow.
07:13Nobody there.
07:17We forgot to give Terry Garvin points on these.
07:20Yes.
07:21Well, he's so far, I believe he's in the minus column still.
07:23That part's true.
07:25I think it's five to two right now.
07:28Hooks the leg again.
07:29But why did he cradle it?
07:30He could have reached it and cradled it there and he didn't.
07:32Well, she should have.
07:33That's a half a point off of Terry Garvin.
07:35Keep it up on the chin.
07:36Keep it up on the chin.
07:38Keep it up on the chin.
07:38Went right back for that reverse chin lock.
07:40He's not leaning on him enough.
07:42This is a move that many people don't realize
07:45what the wrestling needs to do is Lombardi needs to get his knee
07:47out from underneath him and actually let his weight
07:50lay on the Ultimate Warrior.
07:52That makes it so very difficult for a wrestler when you have
07:55to maneuver yourself and you're trying to carry around 230 pounds.
07:59Well, that's another minus.
08:05Nice roundhouse by Lombardi.
08:08I don't believe that trading blows with the Warriors
08:10gonna win the match for him in any way, shape, or form.
08:13Well, a couple of fingers in the eye isn't quite kosher,
08:16but at the same time, it helps.
08:19That's one clothesline that didn't work.
08:21Well, he hit him right in the pecs, that's why.
08:25Look at this.
08:26Blighten chokehold now by the Warrior.
08:29Picked him right up like a rag doll.
08:31There's a clothesline for you right there.
08:36He wants to shake that branch on his tree first, doesn't he?
08:39Certainly does.
08:41Warrior back in control of this one.
08:44Winding him up here.
08:47Power slam.
08:48Power slam.
08:48Yes.
08:48Nailed him with it.
08:51He didn't want it.
08:53I don't know why, but he didn't want it.
08:54Full of smoke.
08:54You can pin a man pin in.
08:57Take the money and go home.
08:58Exactly.
08:58Don't go around on a glory parade.
09:02Oh, there comes that press slam.
09:04He's got him up there.
09:06Some eight to nine feet high.
09:09Let's see if he walks out from underneath him.
09:12Oh, he did.
09:16Lombardi is finished.
09:17Stick the fork in him.
09:19He's done.
09:23That seems the way it is with our Neanderthal ancestors.
09:27The Gorillaz do the same thing, don't they?
09:29Absolutely.
09:30They beat on their chest.
09:31Absolutely.
09:31Let's get the official word.
09:33Here is your winner, the Ultimate Warrior.
09:40Ultimate Warrior, victorious here over Steve Lombardi.
09:44Didn't even really break much of a sweat.
09:46Let's go back and take a look at how he polished him off.
09:49Here it comes.
09:50Well, actually, it was, I feel, the power body slam,
09:53or the power slam that did most of the damage of Lombardi here.
09:57Here he's got him up there.
09:59Lombardi's dazed.
10:00And he's up there eight, nine feet in the air.
10:02And when he drops it, no matter how well, we're not cats.
10:06We can't land on all fours.
10:07That just accelerated what the power slam had already done.
10:10Well, another point taken away from Steve Lombardi for that move
10:14because there is a way to get out of that.
10:16Plenty more action.
10:17Still to come here.
10:18We'll be back.
