00:31What he in English wish the Prime Minister, the Speaker and all Canadians, a beautiful Thanksgiving.
00:38But Canadians will not want to give thanks when they walk down the grocery aisles and find out the cost
00:43of a Thanksgiving meal is up 10% since last year.
00:48All under this Prime Minister's leadership since he promised that he would be judged by the prices at the grocery

00:54He's out of touch and Canadians are out of money.
00:57We've heard all of the grand promises and the big spending.
01:00But what Canadians who sit around that table with empty wallets want to know is when will they have the
01:06result of affordable food.

01:12Mr. Speaker, I join the Leader of the Opposition in wishing all Canadians a happy Thanksgiving.
01:1712 million Canadians will have just received from the Government of Canada the essentials benefit.
01:24$170 for an individual for a family.
01:28All 22 million Canadians have had their taxes cut.
01:33All Canadian families on average $20,000 in support.
01:38Child care, child care, national food program, dental care, national child benefit.
01:43That is a country that takes care of each other.
01:45That's a country to be thankful for.
01:47Thank you very much.
01:52The Honourable Leader of the Opposition.
01:55He is out of touch and you are out of money.
01:59Mr. Speaker, giving back a tiny fraction of what the Government takes away will not even cover one mortgage payment.
02:05And that is if you can afford a home.
02:07Today, we have a report from Habitat for Humanity that did a survey of 22 nations and found that Canadians
02:16were the most likely to have given up on the dream of a home ownership.
02:2056% believe they will never own a home.
02:22Twice the average of the international community.
02:26This after the Prime Minister promised that housing would be affordable.
02:30When will we have an end to the promises and of home ownership affordability?
02:34The Right Honourable Prime Minister.
02:39Mr. Speaker, I have to keep reminding the Leader of the Opposition that I just got here.
02:46He's been here for 40 years and every single month, every single month that this Government has been in office.
02:58Speaking of Thanksgiving, I would be thankful if the Members could hold it down just a little bit.

03:28What's happened in those 18 months?
03:30Every single month, rental affordability has improved in this country.

03:40The economy is up.
03:41We're moving forward.
03:42We know we have our hands.

04:1486% almost double from $970 to $1,800 today.
04:20This Prime Minister is now leading an economy where the largest number of Canadians have given up on home ownership.
04:27When will we have an end to the big talk and actually get some home ownership results?
