Man accused of throwing ex-girlfriend and baby off 15th floor balcony

A disturbing case in the Bronx, New York, has sparked outrage after 31-year-old Angel Carrasco was arrested in connection with the death of his former girlfriend and the serious injuries suffered by their infant daughter.

Carrasco is accused of throwing 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez and their 8-month-old daughter, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, from a 15th-floor balcony early Tuesday morning. Ramirez died, while the baby survived the fall and remains in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital.

After his arrest, Carrasco was escorted from a New York City police station in handcuffs on Thursday. Bystanders reacted angrily when they saw him smiling as he was led away.

“Coward! Coward!” people shouted at him. One person also yelled, “I hope they f—ing kill your ass in jail.”

According to reports, Carrasco had previously been arrested twice in connection with alleged domestic violence incidents involving Ramirez. Law enforcement sources claim he visited her apartment with flowers before the tragic incident occurred.

Neighbors described hearing disturbing sounds before the fall. Carrasco faces serious criminal charges as the investigation continues. Meanwhile, the infant remains hospitalized, and the tragedy has left the local community grieving and demanding justice for Ramirez.
