00:00:01We've got two new qualifiers for the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches,
00:00:05a kidnap on Monday Night Raw.
00:00:09We've got controversy over the Women's World Championship and so much more.
00:00:14This is the Raw recap on WWE Now, a WWE and Fanatic's original production.
00:00:27Well, Megan, you would think based on everything that we would start with said kidnapping,
00:00:33we will get there.
00:00:34It is insane what is going on on this show right now, what is going on on Monday Night Raw.
00:00:41Every week we come in thinking we're going to get something, and we get something completely different.
00:00:47I will say this, even though it was not in the cards,
00:00:50the only thing we knew going into Monday Night Raw was that Penta was going to have something to say.
00:00:55Yes, of course. After last week, he has a lot to say.
00:00:58It grew into so much more than that.
00:01:01Another two weeks in a row now.
00:01:04Incredibly important, noteworthy, earmarked episode of Monday Night Raw for Penta.
00:01:12Penta starts out tonight's Monday Night Raw in San Antonio by saying,
00:01:19hey, I respect Roman Reigns.
00:01:22Last week was one of the greatest nights of my life after the match that I had with Roman Reigns,
00:01:28and I'm sure a lot of that had to do with the feedback that so many fans had on that
00:01:34match
00:01:34and the way that it felt not only like Penta had outperformed already high expectations,
00:01:43but the amount of people that left going, man, Penta, that should have been Penta's night.
00:01:48A lot of people.
00:01:49And I mean, there's a lot of wrestling on television these days,
00:01:52and Penta occupied the conversation for an entire week.
00:01:57And he's ready to occupy a lot more because he goes now and says, I'm not done.
00:02:03We will meet. I respect Roman Reigns, he says.
00:02:06But we will meet again because I will be the world heavyweight champion.
00:02:13And he said, this is only the beginning.
00:02:15That's right, of this battle.
00:02:16And now I think that's the big difference after last week is that when Penta steps forward
00:02:21and says, I'm going to be the world heavyweight champion, like, before last week,
00:02:26it would have been like, man, that would be cool one day.
00:02:29Well, it's good to have big goals.
00:02:30I mean, when Penta came into the studio not that long ago, a few months ago,
00:02:35I think that was before he became the intercontinental champion,
00:02:37he told us that that's why he came to WWE, right?
00:02:41To win world championships.
00:02:43And we had that reaction of, that's great.
00:02:46That'd be cool.
00:02:46It'd be really cool one day.
00:02:48Right.
00:02:48Well, guess what?
00:02:49That day could be tomorrow.
00:02:50Tomorrow, that day could be when he cashes in a Money in the Bank briefcase.
00:02:55Yeah.
00:02:55That day could be any time after what we saw in Mexico City with Roman Reigns.
00:02:59And I think that that was the feeling going in.
00:03:01The question was, will Penta be in a different spot?
00:03:04Will Penta be elevated after that match?
00:03:06And I don't think there was any question after the reception that he got on Monday Night Raw
00:03:10to start the show.
00:03:12He gets interrupted by Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough, who, by the way,
00:03:18I mean, listen, you go, well, of course, you just said it.
00:03:22When I said it was advertised that Penta was going to have something to say on Monday Night Raw,
00:03:26you said, of course you got something to say after what happened.
00:03:29Why wouldn't J.D. McDonough and Dominic Mysterio have something to say after what happened last week on Monday Night
00:03:35Raw?
00:03:36J.D. McDonough and Dominic Mysterio went into Mexico City and they stood above absolute legends.
00:03:43J.D. McDonough, Dominic Mysterio, and Liv Morgan stood over El Grande Americano, Rey Mysterio, that deadbeat,
00:03:53and Stephanie Vaquer.
00:03:55A lot of people would say that deadbeat and El Grande Americano and Stephanie Vaquer are, you know,
00:04:01arguably just as big as the OTC in Latin America.
00:04:05Well, you have two out of three champions laid out on the ground and these three are standing above them
00:04:13and you didn't say, well, of course, Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough would have something to say after last
00:04:18week.
00:04:18Why didn't, why not?
00:04:20I mean, they always have something to say.
00:04:23I just don't think that the people are clamoring to hear it all the time.
00:04:27Why is that?
00:04:28Why are we clamoring?
00:04:29Why only some get to be clamored for?
00:04:31Because it usually has to do with a lot of complaining, you know?
00:04:35Oh, I know.
00:04:36I do this show.
00:04:37I know all about complaining.
00:04:39But I think that they have just as much right to get a little mic time, to do a little
00:04:44gloating.
00:04:45Why not take a victory lap after what they went through?
00:04:48And that's what they did.
00:04:48They came to the ring going like, all right, like enough of this goal setting.
00:04:53I must have missed the time that Dominic Mysterio and or J.D. McDonough
00:04:58had a main event match on Monday Night Raw with Roman Reigns.
00:05:01I must have missed that.
00:05:03Well, I didn't have that specific.
00:05:04I didn't know that it was reserved for that specific match.
00:05:08Okay.
00:05:09But while Penta was vision boarding, Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough were like,
00:05:13hey, we'd like to have a moment to at least remind the audience how well we did last week in
00:05:19Mexico City.
00:05:20Now, unfortunately, you know, a lot of times you would question, well, who's going to come out and help Penta?
00:05:27He didn't really need anybody.
00:05:28He took out both.
00:05:29In that moment, I think he caught him off guard a little bit.
00:05:32He took out Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough.
00:05:34But who would have thought that due to a series of, some would say, unfortunate events,
00:05:41that somehow we start Monday Night Raw with Penta saying,
00:05:46one day I will be back in contention for the World Heavyweight Championship.
00:05:50And we somehow end Monday Night Raw with Penta qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
00:06:00And by the way, completely turning that ladder match on its head,
00:06:03because I've got to believe that as much as, you know,
00:06:07historically you want that Money in the Bank ladder match to be, oh, the absolute surprise,
00:06:13the guy that would never win it without the briefcase.
00:06:15The tool that elevates the superstar.
00:06:18Now, with the amount of people that were like, man, now that I've seen it, I want Penta to have
00:06:24it.
00:06:25I think Penta is walking into that ladder match, and it's a ladder match.
00:06:29It's Penta's specialty.
00:06:31I think Penta now all of a sudden walks into that ladder match an absolute favorite.
00:06:37I mean, dude, you remember the ladder match at WrestleMania, right?
00:06:40Of course.
00:06:41People were talking about that forever.
00:06:44Of course I do.
00:06:45And Penta's a different superstar right now than he was at WrestleMania.
00:06:49Even at WrestleMania.
00:06:50That's 100% right.
00:06:52And he's had many, many a ladder match before.
00:06:55Look, he's going to be in there with five other people.
00:06:58Brown Breaker, Trick Williams.
00:07:01Javon.
00:07:02Javon Evans.
00:07:03You know, I mean, they got a qualifying match on SmackDown between Gunther, CM Punk, and Finn Balor.
00:07:09Like, this is one of those years for the Money in the Bank ladder match that every time somebody wins
00:07:14a qualifier, we start going like, I don't know.
00:07:15I think they might be the favorite.
00:07:16But Penta, I don't recall somebody going in with this kind of momentum in the past.
00:07:24Like, I think that that's what can't be understated, especially because you go, okay, he gave us this incredible match
00:07:32last week.
00:07:33What's he going to do this week?
00:07:35And we end up with an incredible triple threat match.
00:07:40Now, the only reason he was in this match was because, as we said, Solo Sokoa is scheduled for this
00:07:46match.
00:07:46And honestly, I thought Solo Sokoa was going to win the triple threat.
00:07:49I thought Solo Sokoa was going to win the briefcase.
00:07:52Solo Sokoa was my Money in the Bank briefcase pick.
00:07:55Mine too.
00:07:56Pew Pew.
00:07:57Well, Pew Pew is right.
00:07:59946 shows up, and they bruise the face of Solo Sokoa.
00:08:04They beat him down.
00:08:06They shove him in the back of a car, and they drive off with him.
00:08:10And this was after Solo, earlier in the night, was trying to meet with the bloodline to come up with
00:08:17a plan to combat the 946.
00:08:20We got to go through that whole scenario, and we will.
00:08:23But this was Solo, and he was in his gear.
00:08:26He was ready to go out for that Money in the Bank ladder match, and boom, the 946 got him.
00:08:30And I don't know that there's ever been a group like the 946 that just waits for those moments to
00:08:35seize them.
00:08:35I mean, the 946 hasn't wrestled a match as a group.
00:08:38But they've lit a car on fire.
00:08:40They've lit a car on fire.
00:08:41And any time you're at Monday Night Raw, or anywhere, really, it's a 946.
00:08:46You don't have to be at Raw.
00:08:47Got to be on the lookout.
00:08:49Nobody's safe.
00:08:50And they weren't kidding.
00:08:51There is this thing that looms over Monday Night Raw, going, who are they going after this week, and what
00:08:58are they going to do?
00:08:59You know what I mean?
00:09:00And that's even as a viewer, as a watcher.
00:09:03You're sitting there going, well, something's going to happen here.
00:09:06Or could.
00:09:07Sometimes it doesn't.
00:09:08Last week, oh, we're not here.
00:09:11Yeah, but I still felt unsettled.
00:09:13Right.
00:09:14When I watched the video.
00:09:15They're like, oh, you guys thought that we would show up this week?
00:09:17Well, that's the other thing.
00:09:19Oh, we're not.
00:09:19And then that made me feel like, oh, the 946 is even more dangerous because they're not here.
00:09:25So wherever they are.
00:09:26What are they doing?
00:09:27And the videos themselves, like they're not shot like videos that you see on a wrestling TV show.
00:09:34You know what I mean?
00:09:34They're shot on cell phones.
00:09:36They're shot like there's this whole other sort of motivation going on over there that we still haven't been made
00:09:45crystal clear on.
00:09:46And we still haven't been made clear as to why Royce Keys, Troy, decided to make this move.
00:09:52But Dominic Mysterio sees all this is going on.
00:09:56This might have been my favorite part of Monday Night Rock.
00:09:58Well, he goes, well, that was one of the triple threat guys.
00:10:00Does that mean I just went automatically?
00:10:02Like, why was Dom even there?
00:10:04It had nothing really to do with them.
00:10:06He was waiting to go out.
00:10:07It was his match.
00:10:07Bloodline business.
00:10:08Adam Pearce clearly is in distress because not only does he have to take care of the chaos that was
00:10:14caused by the 946,
00:10:15and the fact that Solo Sokoa was kidnapped, but he also has to worry about this match.
00:10:19And then he has Dominic Mysterio just asking Adam Pearce to hand him a dub.
00:10:24I think it's pretty smart.
00:10:25First of all, I think if you think Dominic Mysterio is showing up for a Money in the Bank qualifier
00:10:30and going, hey, well, before I ask, I better make sure that Adam Pearce's schedule is free.
00:10:36That's not Dominic Mysterio's responsibility.
00:10:40Dominic is there to look out for Dominic because you know who else is?
00:10:42Well, everybody in the Judgment Day, but other than that, nobody, okay?
00:10:46So he goes up and he goes, maybe while all this chaos is going on, I could offer a solution,
00:10:52right?
00:10:53I'll win.
00:10:53Maybe I'll go offer a solution.
00:10:55Why don't I just win and then that way it won't be on your plate anymore?
00:10:58Here, Pierce, let me make this a whole lot easier.
00:11:00That's right.
00:11:01I'll just take the dub.
00:11:02I'll advance to the Money in the Bank ladder, Matt.
00:11:04Yeah.
00:11:04No worries.
00:11:05You could even give me the briefcase right now.
00:11:08No problem.
00:11:09We could do that too, but let's just make me automatically win.
00:11:13You know, a lot of other superstars that are really focused on winning championships in
00:11:17WWE, they're really focused on their match and their business, right?
00:11:21Yeah.
00:11:22But Dominic's over there lingering around.
00:11:24He's worried about him.
00:11:25What was he talking about?
00:11:26What do you mean lingering around?
00:11:28They were right by the entryway.
00:11:29That's where they got Solo Sokoa.
00:11:30He wasn't lingering around.
00:11:32He was literally worried about his business.
00:11:34Yeah, maybe he should worry about his entrance that was about to happen.
00:11:37There was no match.
00:11:39Solo Sokoa was taken out.
00:11:41What does Dominic want to do?
00:11:42Go in there and go like, well, sure.
00:11:44I just felt like to use a word that you often use on this show, it seemed a little bit
00:11:48weaselly
00:11:49of Dominic Massero to do that.
00:11:50I'm just saying.
00:11:51It felt like he was being a little bit of a weasel.
00:11:53That's called taking destiny into your own hands.
00:11:55No, I thought he was trying to weasel a win out of Adam Pearce.
00:11:57Wrestling is not a team sport, unless your team is the Judgment Day, but it's not a team
00:12:01sport.
00:12:02It just seemed a little weaselly to me.
00:12:03That's all.
00:12:04Just a little, little weasley.
00:12:05Well, you're coming across as passive-aggressive.
00:12:07I don't even think you believe that.
00:12:08I think you're just trying to get, you're trying to take a shot at me.
00:12:10I mean, the bloodline, they seem very distressed.
00:12:13I mean, in the Usos and Solo Sokoa, they certainly have their issues.
00:12:17Jacob and Solo Sokoa, they've had their issues as well.
00:12:19But, like, this is a family member who was just kidnapped.
00:12:22Right.
00:12:22And here's Dom, who's not in the bloodline last time I checked.
00:12:25He's just trying to weasel opportunities.
00:12:28He's trying to gain opportunities because he's there for his match.
00:12:31If anything, the bloodline didn't have real business there.
00:12:34And L.A. Knight's there, and he lost a friend.
00:12:36You know?
00:12:37Everybody there lost something.
00:12:38And Dominic's looking to gain.
00:12:41L.A. Knight had no business there.
00:12:43He's like, hey, what happened to Solo?
00:12:44He drove away.
00:12:45It's his friend.
00:12:46It's his friend.
00:12:46Well, we'll get there because Dominic did not get his wish.
00:12:50Dominic instead was told to go to the ring, and his music played.
00:12:53And he did.
00:12:55And Dragon Lee came out.
00:12:57And then somehow, Adam Pearce, his schedule did free up.
00:13:01A minute ago, he was too busy to even deal with anything.
00:13:04But now his schedule did free up, and he said, I promised you a triple threat,
00:13:08and we're going to have a triple threat.
00:13:09Here comes Penta.
00:13:11And Penta is now in this match, and the minute Penta comes out,
00:13:13it's like, oh, my God.
00:13:15God, this is what it's all about.
00:13:17It was that moment when you go, oh, wow, Ross started this way with Dom and Penta,
00:13:23and now they're in the main event.
00:13:24Right.
00:13:24What a bookend to this thing.
00:13:26And we watch this match, and you can't take anything away from Dragon Lee either.
00:13:30This becomes a massive opportunity for Dragon Lee.
00:13:34When he hit that Styles Clash?
00:13:35I mean, all over the match.
00:13:37It was such an incredible triple threat match from top to bottom.
00:13:43All three of those guys, the amount of time it went on for the amount of athleticism that
00:13:48was in that match was insane.
00:13:51All three people, and I know you don't like Dominic Mysterio for whatever reason, but Dominic
00:13:55Mysterio was incredible in this match, as was Dragon Lee, as was Penta.
00:13:59There was a moment right in the match after Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer on the apron.
00:14:07Right.
00:14:07Where I'm thinking to myself, similarly to what I thought last week during the main event with
00:14:12Roman Reigns and Penta, how does this match end?
00:14:15And Dominic Mysterio hit the 619, and I said, oh, Megan, and it ends 619, frog splash, but
00:14:24Penta kicks out.
00:14:25It hits the frog splash, and Penta kicks out, and that's the beauty of this match, right?
00:14:30Because you could go into this match thinking, oh, well, Penta is the hero.
00:14:34Penta had the Roman Reigns match last week.
00:14:36Like, we've been wanting Penta to get another opportunity immediately.
00:14:41Penta obviously wins this match, but throughout points in this match,
00:14:45you're like, oh, my God, Dragon Lee's got it, Dragon's got it, Dragon's got it.
00:14:48No.
00:14:48And in that moment, oh, my God, Dominic's got it, Dominic's got it.
00:14:51He's going to take advantage because they were completely utilizing those triple threat
00:14:56rules when they're like, okay, I'm going to grab this opportunity.
00:15:00Like, you can't, when a triple threat match is done at its best, you wouldn't really compare
00:15:06it to a one-on-one because there are just so many different opportunities and outcomes.
00:15:12So you're right.
00:15:13After that Mexican destroyer on the apron, Dominic hits the frog splash, Penta kicks
00:15:19out, Dominic gets frustrated, he rips the turnbuckle pad off the corner post.
00:15:23And how'd that work out for him?
00:15:25Well, unfortunately, in this instance, that time it took to rip the turnbuckle pad off
00:15:30the post was the exact amount of time that Penta needed to get up, swing him around.
00:15:36I tell you, when Penta, and I was talking about this with the Roman Reigns match too, when
00:15:41Penta gets in that mode, he is a ghost that just haunts an opponent.
00:15:47That you look into those eyes that are not human eyes and you look at that face, that
00:15:52there's no flesh on that face.
00:15:53It doesn't resemble a human face.
00:15:56And there is no, like usually when you look into a luchador's mask and you see his eyes,
00:16:01you see the human that exists under the mask, but Penta, Penta doesn't exist under the mask.
00:16:08And you start to go, oh my God, there is no, there's no killing this haunt.
00:16:13And Penta swings him around.
00:16:16Penta hits Dominic into the exposed buckle.
00:16:21Springboard Mexican destroyer.
00:16:23One, two, three, Penta qualifies for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
00:16:29And it's on.
00:16:32I loved the match, everything about it.
00:16:34And I'm really excited to see Penta in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
00:16:38I think right now, it's tough to say who the favorite is, but there's never been someone
00:16:42who's had this kind of momentum heading into the match.
00:16:45I do have a question for you.
00:16:46Hit me.
00:16:47Can Dominic Mysterio legitimately call himself the king of the luchadors after losing to Penta?
00:16:55Well, he lost a triple threat.
00:16:57Yes, he can call himself the king of the luchadors.
00:16:59You know what I mean?
00:17:00It was a triple threat.
00:17:01It was a qualifier.
00:17:03Penta wasn't announced in the match.
00:17:04He was a surprise entrant.
00:17:06Of course, he can call himself the king of the luchadors.
00:17:09Who's had a longer reign than him in recent memory with the AAA mega championship?
00:17:14You know, every king has an off night.
00:17:17It's not fair to treat these kings as if they're going to be perfect, even when you're stacking
00:17:24the deck against them.
00:17:26Stacking the deck against them?
00:17:27100%.
00:17:27I didn't see that.
00:17:29Hey, you're in a triple threat match with Solo Soko and Dragon Lee.
00:17:32Now that you're in the ring, JK, JK, here's Penta.
00:17:34That would be stacking the deck against him.
00:17:37A king.
00:17:38Yeah, but when you're king of the luchadors.
00:17:39A chicken tendy king.
00:17:41That would be stacking the deck against him.
00:17:43Because you prepare for an opponent.
00:17:44You would know that if you were an athlete.
00:17:46You prepare.
00:17:47Oh, okay.
00:17:48You know what I'm saying?
00:17:49You prepare when you know what's in front of you.
00:17:53It would be like if they were like, oh, we're doing a 29-mile marathon.
00:17:57I think I'd prepare for 26.
00:17:59What the heck?
00:18:00Exactly.
00:18:00You'd be at mile 25.
00:18:01Yeah, now that you put it that way.
00:18:02Think about that.
00:18:03You're at mile 25.
00:18:04They go four more miles, Meg.
00:18:05You're like, wait, what?
00:18:06I think I won.
00:18:07What do you mean four more miles?
00:18:08Yeah, I wouldn't.
00:18:09Okay, now I'm on Dom's side.
00:18:11You know what I'm saying?
00:18:11And then you slow down and you're like, I don't understand.
00:18:13Yeah.
00:18:13Right.
00:18:14You always got to put it in the context of running.
00:18:16Yeah, there we go.
00:18:16Yeah.
00:18:17I still don't, I don't know if you can be king of the luchadors if you got pinned by
00:18:21another luchador, but.
00:18:22So you mean he's got to be undefeated where you can't be the king?
00:18:25That's ridiculous.
00:18:26Usually kings do stay kings.
00:18:28I mean.
00:18:29Yeah, but they could take a bad, they could have a bad evening.
00:18:31Okay.
00:18:32You know.
00:18:33All right.
00:18:33You could have a bad evening.
00:18:34We had a good one last week, so.
00:18:35It was a great one last week.
00:18:36It was incredible.
00:18:39So we were talking about the 946 and you were bringing up the complications with this group
00:18:43and the complications that this group has added.
00:18:47To a highly dramatic situation between the bloodline, between Solo, between LA Knight.
00:18:55Like it has become, there was a moment right around SummerSlam where the sides were pretty
00:19:02well, there was a hard line.
00:19:04Yes.
00:19:05And then when Solo Sakoa was brought to the tribal chief to say, okay, now you can acknowledge
00:19:12him.
00:19:12He said, no, there was a pretty hard line.
00:19:15But as soon as the 946 shows up, it has become more and more difficult to see where that line
00:19:21is anymore.
00:19:22I know.
00:19:23I was so surprised to see Solo Sakoa show up and address the Usos and Jacob Fatu and even
00:19:30suggest that they should be potentially working together to go after the 946.
00:19:37Well, they have common enemies, right?
00:19:38And what did, what did, I mean, this is something, listen, Solo Sakoa cannot be getting along with
00:19:45the Usos and Jacob Fatu right now.
00:19:47But these are the people that he grew up with.
00:19:49These are the people that he knows.
00:19:51Jacob is in there telling the Usos to lay low and keep it slow.
00:19:56The Usos are saying, you say that every week.
00:19:58And Jacob's like, yeah, I mean it every week.
00:20:00Don't make the first move.
00:20:02You can, it feels like the Usos are really struggling to comprehend what Jacob is telling
00:20:08them.
00:20:08And I'm not sure if that's because they're the captains or if it's because of just the
00:20:14power struggle within or their lack of understanding of what the 946 is really capable of.
00:20:20Well, I think that they're instinctive for sure.
00:20:23They want to get back their pound of flesh.
00:20:25And I do think that there is something to Jacob putting out orders, like long-term orders.
00:20:33It's one thing to be like, just chill out for now.
00:20:35And they're like, okay, Jacob, we'll chill out for now.
00:20:37But when is the third week?
00:20:38And you're like, hey, stay chill.
00:20:40Right.
00:20:41And it's like, no, Jacob, you're not in charge here.
00:20:43I think that has a lot to do with it.
00:20:44I mean, you lit our car on fire.
00:20:45Yeah.
00:20:45I think that that has a lot to do with it.
00:20:47Right.
00:20:48But they lit the car on fire.
00:20:50Where were the Usos when they lit the car on fire?
00:20:53They were in the ring.
00:20:54Like, not listening to Jacob.
00:20:57Solo comes in the room.
00:20:59And he's waving a peace flag, by the way.
00:21:01He's waving a little white flag.
00:21:03Okay.
00:21:03That's how you know that everything's okay.
00:21:06Solo Sako is waving a little white flag.
00:21:08Okay.
00:21:08So it's like, okay, cool, cool, cool, cool.
00:21:10Everybody's cool.
00:21:11Right.
00:21:12And he says that we should work together.
00:21:16This is a situation of maybe not the best of friends, but a common enemy.
00:21:22Solo has been attacked.
00:21:23The Usos have been attacked.
00:21:24And I was talking about this on the radio earlier today, about the fact that L.A. Knight
00:21:28is going to have to deal with that.
00:21:29Because you remember L.A. Knight, a couple weeks ago, said to Solo Sakoa, let's just pick
00:21:33the bones after the Usos and Jacob are done with them.
00:21:36Just leave them alone for now and pick the bones later.
00:21:40But Solo's the one that's being attacked.
00:21:42Solo's been attacked multiple times now.
00:21:44Yeah, it's easy to say we'll pick the bones when you're not the one who's getting your
00:21:49face kicked in.
00:21:50Right.
00:21:50This isn't your...
00:21:52You have an issue with Roman Reigns when we talk about L.A. Knight.
00:21:55That's where your focus is.
00:21:57You can't tell me L.A. Knight's focus is on the 9-4-6 and more specifically what Solo's
00:22:02problem with the 9-4-6 is.
00:22:04L.A. Knight just wants to focus on Roman Reigns.
00:22:06And he should.
00:22:07He's got a World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank.
00:22:10But with all that said, where does Solo Sakoa go at that point?
00:22:15You know, Jacob has specifically put out there, do not split up.
00:22:20Do not separate.
00:22:22If you separate, they will take us out one by one.
00:22:25Don't do it.
00:22:27So when Solo comes in, the Usos go, okay, yeah, we can work together.
00:22:32And this is a different demeanor out of Solo, too.
00:22:34He's waving a white flag.
00:22:35Yeah, waving a white flag, but he's not really coming in like swaggy solo.
00:22:39Oh, I don't know.
00:22:40He's not exactly...
00:22:41I mean, he had the swag with the iced out sunglasses.
00:22:46He was shining them the whole time.
00:22:48Yes, but he didn't necessarily have the like, I'm going to make fun of you, my brother's
00:22:54attitude, right?
00:22:55He wasn't insulting them.
00:22:56Yes, whereas before, he was.
00:23:00He was still cocky, though.
00:23:02He has to be, I mean...
00:23:03And when they said, yup, no problem.
00:23:06All you have to do is acknowledge us as captains, Jay and Jimmy, and acknowledge Roman Reigns
00:23:14as the tribal chief.
00:23:15And what did Solo say?
00:23:16Don't tell me it's a different Solo, because Solo went like this.
00:23:19That ain't happening.
00:23:22I did love when he said that.
00:23:23Right?
00:23:24And then Jimmy and Jay said, okay, well, then you can be on your way.
00:23:28And Solo said, all right, then I guess it's back to the drawing board.
00:23:32And he walked right out.
00:23:34And Jacob said, you made a mistake.
00:23:37That was a mistake that you guys just made.
00:23:39Now, look, there is a part of that that goes, does Jacob really think it was a mistake?
00:23:43Or does Jacob have feelings when it's like, there's four people.
00:23:48There's Jimmy, there's Jay, there's Roman, there's Jacob.
00:23:51And what was asked for Solo was an acknowledgement for Jimmy, Jay, and Roman.
00:23:55Not Jacob.
00:23:57Ultimately, that is a thing.
00:23:59And it goes back to what you were talking about with them, you know, taking advice, say, from Jacob Fatu.
00:24:07And then it gets even more interesting, because L.A. Knight shows up, and he goes, what are we doing
00:24:14here?
00:24:15You know, he's not overly hostile at all.
00:24:18He's not saying, he understands, I think, where Solo is coming from.
00:24:25But he said, we just got you out of the bloodline.
00:24:28You know, keep in mind that Solo kind of had to win L.A. Knight's trust, as far as that
00:24:34was concerned.
00:24:34Definitely did.
00:24:35The bloodline is a big deal to L.A. Knight.
00:24:38And the idea that he believes that Solo is on the outs with that family is important and foundational to
00:24:46their friendship.
00:24:47So the idea that Solo is now going like, we can all work together.
00:24:52That's where L.A. Knight's going to step up and go, what is all this?
00:24:54He needed some clarification, right?
00:24:56What is all that?
00:24:57Yes.
00:24:57Definitely.
00:24:58Yes.
00:24:59Because his relationship with Solo has come a long way, and he needs to make sure he can figure out
00:25:05what Solo's motive is.
00:25:06And whether he can trust him.
00:25:07Yeah.
00:25:08Especially heading into his match with Roman Reigns.
00:25:11Yes.
00:25:12Yes.
00:25:13Yeah, and I think, but he said, okay.
00:25:15He said he understood.
00:25:17And that's when the night goes on, and 946 end up jumping Solo Sokoa at the entryway before that triple
00:25:26threat, dragging him to the car, picking up his head so you could see the bruise on his face, throwing
00:25:33him in the back of their Cadillac, and driving out of the arena.
00:25:39And now you, that's when you have the bloodline, and Jacob, and L.A. Knight, and L.A. Knight is
00:25:46looking at the bloodline as if how could you let this happen to Solo?
00:25:49And Jacob is telling Jimmy and Jey Uso, I told you so.
00:25:53But Jey Uso is telling Jacob, I told you so.
00:25:57See, I think from L.A. Knight's perspective, the bloodline is just not holding up their end of the bargain.
00:26:04He's just not impressed with the way they're handling business.
00:26:07I think from Jacob's perspective, he's saying, I told you we needed to keep Solo in.
00:26:12This goes back to what he was saying before about not being separated, about traveling as a group, staying together
00:26:18as a group.
00:26:19And preventing the 946 from picking them off one by one.
00:26:22One by one.
00:26:23But from Jey's perspective, I think Jey is sitting there looking at Jacob, saying, if you would just let us
00:26:30take out this group from the beginning, if we had just made the first move, then they wouldn't have been
00:26:35able to take Solo like that.
00:26:37I felt like when Solo was kidnapped, and we saw what happened to him, I was very upset with Jimmy
00:26:44and Jey.
00:26:45With Jimmy and Jey?
00:26:46Yes.
00:26:46Very upset.
00:26:47Why?
00:26:48Because I held them responsible.
00:26:50I mean, here was Jacob telling him that was a bad idea.
00:26:53You guys should have taken Solo in.
00:26:55L.A. Knight is just kind of looking out, getting a bit of clarification on what Solo's relationship is with
00:27:01the bloodline.
00:27:02Right now, while I think L.A. Knight cares about Solo's well-being, because that's his friend, as it's been
00:27:09established, my sense from L.A. Knight is, I don't want anything really to do with this.
00:27:14Because I have bigger fish to fry with the OTC, so I can't have this distracting, but I need Solo
00:27:20as my friend.
00:27:22So, from the Uso's perspective, what would happen if the OTC gets back, and he looks at his captains, and
00:27:32he goes, you're working with Solo now?
00:27:36Last time I saw Solo, he had his thumb driven into the side of my neck.
00:27:41Last time I saw Solo, all I asked for was an acknowledgement, and he said no.
00:27:48And now you guys are protecting him?
00:27:50What are we doing?
00:27:52Then Jacob would have to stand up and explain how dangerous the 9-4-6 is.
00:27:56And then Roman looks at Jacob, and then he looks at Jimmy and Jey Uso, and he goes, I thought
00:28:01you guys were the captains.
00:28:02Why is Jacob explaining this to me?
00:28:05Jimmy and Jey have been through this before.
00:28:07You know, I'm playing devil's advocate for the Uso's here.
00:28:11But Jimmy and Jey have been through this whole game before.
00:28:15They spent years under the thumb of the tribal chief.
00:28:20And while this seems to be a more benevolent tribal chief than we used to have, one would think that
00:28:27the tribal chief would agree with Jacob.
00:28:29It makes sense what Jacob is saying, right?
00:28:30Sure.
00:28:31Unless the emotions are in play.
00:28:33When it goes, no, we want to help our own.
00:28:37We want this family to be together.
00:28:40But if that guy won't stand firm, if that guy won't acknowledge the tribal chief, if that guy won't acknowledge
00:28:46the tribal chief's captains, then that's a no-go for me.
00:28:50And I think that that's a possible outcome from Roman Reigns.
00:28:52And so if you've got guys that were just made captain that are making the wrong decision because they're listening
00:28:58to Jacob, then that sounds to me like Jacob's the one that's the captain.
00:29:03And they can't have that, can they?
00:29:05No, because Jacob wasn't appointed the captain role by the OTC.
00:29:08So it's like, then what's happened to our organization while Roman's gone?
00:29:13It's a mess.
00:29:14It's in shambles.
00:29:15So it's almost like, then you got to trust your captains to make the call.
00:29:20That said, it might've been the wrong call because Solo Sokoa left in the back of a Cadillac Escalade.
00:29:25But Roman doesn't really care about that, right?
00:29:27I don't know because Roman is big on respecting the family.
00:29:33Roman feels as though if family members are being disrespected.
00:29:37They're all being disrespected.
00:29:39Yes.
00:29:39Yes.
00:29:40Not to the same level of captains, but he said it before where the purpose of this is for that
00:29:47family to be the benchmark of WWE.
00:29:52Like Jacob, when he looked at Royce Keys in the face all those months ago and said, you're just one
00:29:57of the boys.
00:29:57I'm bloodline.
00:30:01It gets complicated when Solo won't acknowledge his tribal chief, but he does carry the lineage.
00:30:08Do you allow somebody who carries the lineage to be treated that way because he won't acknowledge the tribal chief?
00:30:16Maybe that's what the Usos are struggling with.
00:30:18Maybe that's what Jacob's struggling with because I don't have the answer.
00:30:21You know, all we're doing is speculating, right?
00:30:24I know.
00:30:24That's all we can do.
00:30:25And you bring up a great point because I'm obviously a big fan of our Pew Pew King, Solo Sokoa.
00:30:31You love him.
00:30:32So when Solo Sokoa gets kidnapped and gets his face kicked in by the 946, I need someone to blame.
00:30:40And so I want to blame the Usos for that.
00:30:42And you can.
00:30:43But when you think of the tribal chief's perspective on all of it.
00:30:46Maybe you can't.
00:30:48That's true, too.
00:30:49You know, that's why Devil's Advocated is so funny.
00:30:51But then I think what you really have to work into the equation is we haven't seen where this is
00:30:58going with the 946, right?
00:31:00Yeah, we've barely even seen how it started.
00:31:02Exactly.
00:31:03And so Jacob keeps saying they're going to, we need to stay together because if not, they're going to pick
00:31:08us off one by one.
00:31:10Right.
00:31:11We haven't seen that ripple effect yet.
00:31:13Well, we started.
00:31:14They got Solo.
00:31:16But it hasn't started to impact the current bloodline.
00:31:19Okay.
00:31:19But if the Usos and Jacob have a blow up, that's where this starts to happen.
00:31:26The numbers are dwindling now because Solo got scooped up.
00:31:30You know, I want to tell you about what's going on wardrobe wise.
00:31:34I don't know if you've heard about this, but dashing, dashing never goes out of style.
00:31:39And with that in mind, the Cody Rhodes retro tee is available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics.
00:31:49Dashing Cody Rhodes.
00:31:51If you want to go and represent the American nightmare back when he was dashing, the dashing Cody Rhodes shirt
00:31:57retro tee available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics.
00:32:01And I don't know if you've heard about this, but Penta, who we were talking about, and Rey Fenix, well,
00:32:07they've joined forces.
00:32:09Yes, celebrate the duo of Penta and Rey Fenix, the duo with zero fear with their brand new tee available
00:32:17now at WWE Shop and Fanatics.
00:32:21It is a beaut, the Lucha Brothers triple A t-shirt.
00:32:25I love it.
00:32:27So L.A. Knight hit the ring, apart from all of this happening, to address Roman Reigns.
00:32:34And L.A. Knight said it right to the audience, right down the barrel of the camera, like it or
00:32:38not, I am the plans, he said.
00:32:41He said that he struggles with the fact that he has to acknowledge Roman Reigns' greatness, that Roman Reigns is
00:32:49one of the greatest to ever do it.
00:32:50He could be the greatest champion of this generation, could be one of the greatest of all time.
00:32:55He said that he questioned whether or not he could beat Roman Reigns.
00:33:00He said as much as everybody there wants him to be the world heavyweight champion, most of them don't believe
00:33:06he can.
00:33:06And he doesn't blame them because he's had that question for himself.
00:33:11Because three years ago, he was in the ring with Roman Reigns and he couldn't get the job done.
00:33:16But this is a different Roman Reigns, L.A. Knight goes on to say.
00:33:19This is a Roman Reigns who's trying to rewrite his legacy by doing things on his own, by not having
00:33:24the bloodline involved.
00:33:25But you know what L.A. Knight said about all of that?
00:33:28Well, yippee skippy.
00:33:31Yippee skippied him.
00:33:32He did.
00:33:32And this is the first time one of Roman's opponents in this era has pointed out, like, they kept bringing
00:33:39up the bloodline getting involved, the bloodline getting involved, the bloodline getting involved.
00:33:43L.A. Knight seems to be the first opponent that's sitting there going like, no, I'm paying attention to what's
00:33:49going on.
00:33:49And he's different.
00:33:50The bloodline is not getting involved.
00:33:52But I like that L.A. Knight is not saying that in this sense of mystery.
00:33:58I wonder why the bloodline's not getting involved.
00:34:00I wonder what's going on here.
00:34:03He understands that Roman's choosing not to get the bloodline involved because the way he perceives it, Roman is, like
00:34:10you said, building out on that legacy.
00:34:13That on some level, and L.A. Knight's the first to point it out, he believes that Roman to himself
00:34:20wants to prove that he can do it without the bloodline.
00:34:24And I think that L.A. Knight sees that as Roman's one weakness, that he is trying to do this
00:34:34without the bloodline to prove that he can do this.
00:34:36But from L.A. Knight's perspective, Roman never beat L.A. Knight one-on-one.
00:34:42So the fact that Roman isn't bringing out the bloodline becomes the chink in Roman's armor, becomes the one bit
00:34:53of weakness that Roman Reigns has that L.A. Knight is planning to exploit.
00:34:57And I think that L.A. Knight, if anything, has proven his ability to exploit any little moment that Roman
00:35:06Reigns leaves open.
00:35:07L.A. Knight has driven Roman Reigns' skull into the canvas twice now with BFTs because he's picked his spot,
00:35:16he's gotten the timing just right, and he's delivered.
00:35:20I think L.A. Knight is coming into this match a studied man, a learned man.
00:35:28I would agree with that.
00:35:28A learned.
00:35:29Yes, a learned man who has gone through and figured out Roman's motivations.
00:35:36Because he's not just picking up on what Roman is doing.
00:35:39He's got a why for Roman Reigns.
00:35:41And it feels as though his plan is to exploit not just the what, but the why.
00:35:48It's wild to think it was three years ago since L.A. Knight and Roman Reigns had that match.
00:35:53Because obviously, as L.A. Knight points out, Roman is a completely different person since then.
00:35:58And the fact that he's doing it on his own.
00:36:00But L.A. Knight, while he had the fan support three years ago, at that time, it seemed like L
00:36:07.A. Knight getting this Roman Reigns match feels like an L.A. Knight moment.
00:36:11But what's happened in those three years for L.A. Knight?
00:36:14That's just grown and grown and grown and grown.
00:36:17And I love when L.A. Knight pointed out in this promo tonight that he's, from his perspective, he is
00:36:23the most self-made SOB in the game.
00:36:25Because I think that's exactly what we've seen from L.A. Knight over three years.
00:36:29Well, we've talked about that, right?
00:36:30The idea that, like, people have been, realistically, there are people who have been waiting for this thing to run
00:36:37its course.
00:36:37They've been waiting for the audience to tire of him.
00:36:40They've been waiting for people to stop doing the catchphrases.
00:36:44They've been waiting for it not to work.
00:36:46And you're right.
00:36:48It hasn't happened.
00:36:49And it's grown and it's grown.
00:36:51And it grew tonight in San Antonio.
00:36:54It did.
00:36:55They were screaming along with every word that L.A. Knight said.
00:37:00I mean, there are a lot of people who couldn't pull off Yippee Skippy in a promo.
00:37:04L.A. Knight pulled off Yippee Skippy to the point where you wrote it down.
00:37:07When he was talking about the tribal chief of all people.
00:37:10Well, Yippee Skippy.
00:37:13You know, and that's L.A. Knight.
00:37:15That's the whole M.O. of L.A. Knight is that there are no sacred cows when it comes to
00:37:21L.A. Knight.
00:37:21There is nobody that L.A. Knight looks at and goes like, well, gee, golly, I don't think I ever
00:37:27could.
00:37:27Well, gee, I just don't know if I'm as good as he is.
00:37:31You know, L.A. Knight questioned whether or not he could beat Roman Reigns.
00:37:34But when he questioned that, he did it in the context of the old Roman Reigns.
00:37:39L.A. Knight has watched Roman Reigns have a classic with Penta.
00:37:42Have a classic with Seth Rollins.
00:37:44Have two classics with Jacob Fatu.
00:37:46Have a classic with CM Punk.
00:37:48And L.A. Knight is saying, that's the Roman that I can beat.
00:37:51That's the Roman that has a weakness.
00:37:53Because if Roman isn't cheating, I'm able to beat him.
00:37:59And all of a sudden, like, you know, it's so interesting to me.
00:38:05I feel like when Roman was championed before, when the bloodline was running its course,
00:38:11if you had a conversation about whether or not Roman might lose, it wasn't a serious conversation.
00:38:18It wasn't at all.
00:38:19It was an exercise at best.
00:38:21Except for like, there are a few exceptions.
00:38:23I would say Montreal against Sami Zayn.
00:38:25Yeah.
00:38:26Cody Rhodes at 39.
00:38:27Yes.
00:38:28Yeah, sure.
00:38:29Sure.
00:38:29A few exceptions.
00:38:30But for the most part.
00:38:31Yes.
00:38:32Yes.
00:38:34Now, because this story is evolving as quickly as it is, you have that question.
00:38:40Because this becomes now a unique story in the Roman Reigns match, right?
00:38:45The CM Punk and Roman Reigns story was unique.
00:38:47The Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns story was unique.
00:38:50The Seth Rollins and Roman story was unique.
00:38:52The Penta and Roman story was unique.
00:38:55And they all had different reasons for being in different directions that they could go in.
00:39:00And I would argue that tonight, LA Knight created the uniqueness of what is going on between Roman and LA
00:39:10Knight.
00:39:10That this is the first time that somebody has pointed out Roman is trying to carve out a legacy.
00:39:17And listen, one could argue that when a champion is actively thinking about their legacy while they're champion, they're not
00:39:25thinking about what's right in front of them.
00:39:26It's very difficult to think about what's right in front of you as well as your larger body of work.
00:39:32The larger body of work doesn't really come to fruition until the end.
00:39:38Yeah, we can't name an era while we're in the era, right?
00:39:41That's right.
00:39:42But LA Knight is sitting there saying not only is Roman playing this game honestly in the sense that he's
00:39:47not using the bloodline.
00:39:48And the reason why he's not using the bloodline to interfere in these matches, he's building his legacy.
00:39:55And if he's worried about his legacy and he's not using outside interference, those are two things that LA Knight
00:40:02believes are in the corner of LA Knight.
00:40:05And that is a story that is to me compelling.
00:40:09I agree.
00:40:10That is where you get into the, oh, that's LA Knight's window that he can go through.
00:40:15And it makes you go, okay, now I want to see what happens in New Orleans.
00:40:20Now I want to see if LA Knight has identified the strategy.
00:40:25LA Knight has identified the weakness.
00:40:27LA Knight has identified his how.
00:40:31Now it's time to watch him execute on it.
00:40:33Will we see the LA Knight moment in New Orleans?
00:40:37We've been waiting for it.
00:40:38We have.
00:40:38We've been waiting for it.
00:40:39It's possible, you know, more possible now than ever before.
00:40:42Well, I tell you too, speaking of championships, a lot of conversation this week between, it started with the judgment
00:40:52day in the ring.
00:40:53So the judgment day, everybody had something to get off their chest, right?
00:40:58JD McDonough showed up and said once and for all, his dad is not a Funko Pop and it's very
00:41:05upsetting to his mom.
00:41:06Yeah, because Joe Hendry was out there with a bunch of fans and got them all to sing about JD's
00:41:11dad being a Funko Pop.
00:41:12Yeah, I mean, this is like, yeah, I don't know.
00:41:15I hope that that's not going to be a part of Joe Hendry's album.
00:41:19Feels very Kendrick Drake to me.
00:41:21Ooh.
00:41:22Just not the type of beef you want to, hmm?
00:41:24Who's who?
00:41:26I haven't heard JD's stuff.
00:41:28Oh, okay.
00:41:29Okay.
00:41:29I don't know yet.
00:41:30All right.
00:41:31I kind of feel like Joe Hendry's probably Kendrick.
00:41:34But.
00:41:35Okay.
00:41:36But he says it's upsetting to his mom.
00:41:39JD said it doesn't bother him.
00:41:40I believe him.
00:41:42JD's not going to go on television and lie, okay?
00:41:44But he says it's upsetting to his mom because his mom did not marry a Funko Pop.
00:41:49That's not.
00:41:50That's ridiculous.
00:41:52Then Raquel gets the mic.
00:41:54She's got something to get off her chest, too.
00:41:55What could the intercontinental champion have to get off her chest?
00:41:58Well, she's disappointed in Texas.
00:42:00She's from Texas.
00:42:01She's from Texas.
00:42:02You can't believe this is how the people are acting there.
00:42:03It's disgusting to her.
00:42:05And I get it.
00:42:06You know what I mean?
00:42:06I get it.
00:42:07I would be dismayed, too.
00:42:08Showing up in your hometown and this is the response you get?
00:42:12Right.
00:42:12As a champion, too.
00:42:13As a champion.
00:42:14And they've been on that journey with Raquel.
00:42:16Yeah.
00:42:18And then Liv Morgan steps up.
00:42:20Right there with Daddy Dom by her side.
00:42:23And she says that the screw job of Santiago.
00:42:28Are people calling it that?
00:42:30They're calling it the Santiago screw job.
00:42:33Oh.
00:42:33Yes.
00:42:34That's what they're calling it.
00:42:35The Santiago.
00:42:35Is it right up there with Montreal?
00:42:36Or is it up higher than Montreal?
00:42:39Well, I'll tell you this.
00:42:39It's more of an alliteration.
00:42:41So I think it could be higher.
00:42:42Wow.
00:42:42Yeah.
00:42:43It's a big deal.
00:42:44It's a big deal.
00:42:44I don't have documentaries about this at all.
00:42:46I mean, it wouldn't be a very long documentary because it's pretty clear what happened.
00:42:51You know, I don't think that you could argue that she lost the title in a very honest way.
00:42:57The double flipping of the bird.
00:43:00I don't know.
00:43:01I thought referee Rebecca was doing a really good job.
00:43:04Well, she was described by Liv Morgan as a crooked referee, which had to sting, which had to sting to
00:43:10see that mirror hitting you back.
00:43:13Becky Lynch, described by Liv Morgan as crooked referee Becky Lynch.
00:43:20There's only one crooked referee in WWE.
00:43:22Who, Becky?
00:43:23And that's Jessica Carr.
00:43:24You still think she's crooked?
00:43:25I know she's crooked.
00:43:26Because of all the stuff from before?
00:43:27I saw it from a long time.
00:43:28I don't forget.
00:43:29It all counts.
00:43:30No, you're right.
00:43:30Everything counts.
00:43:31Everything counts.
00:43:32And Santiago loved Becky.
00:43:35People loved Jessica Carr.
00:43:37She didn't get that reaction.
00:43:39The reaction that Becky got.
00:43:40No, that's true.
00:43:41That's true.
00:43:42But that's mainly because Becky decided not to count, to flip off Liv Morgan instead.
00:43:46I thought she was doing a great job.
00:43:47As a referee.
00:43:48Yeah, great job.
00:43:48Or just as a human.
00:43:50Both.
00:43:50Oh, wow.
00:43:50Both.
00:43:51Wow.
00:43:51Both.
00:43:52Yes.
00:43:52Well, apparently, according to Becky, who interrupted the Judgment Day's meeting, she was up in the audience.
00:43:58She said, the man has come around to San Antonio.
00:44:03And then she called out J.D. by his full name, government name.
00:44:05Yes, she did.
00:44:06Yes, she did.
00:44:07Jordan Devlin McDonough.
00:44:09Yeah, which I didn't think we were doing that.
00:44:11I didn't think we were doing it.
00:44:13You know, anybody that's been watching long enough understands they remember the days.
00:44:18But Becky, I think, was, I mean, using some of the Irish commonalities to her advantage.
00:44:24Well, she talked to Patricia.
00:44:26Who's that?
00:44:27That's J.D.'s mom.
00:44:28Yeah, I know.
00:44:28She mentioned her by name, too.
00:44:30Patricia.
00:44:31Yeah.
00:44:31I mean, Patricia, not only upset about the Funko Pops, she's very upset to see her son, as Becky put
00:44:38it, playing a towel boy for a bunch of dopes.
00:44:43And wearing gang colors, she said, too.
00:44:45Yeah.
00:44:46You know?
00:44:46And I didn't know.
00:44:47First of all, he's not a towel boy.
00:44:48He's a full-fledged member.
00:44:49And second of all, no dopes.
00:44:51No dopes.
00:44:52You know, Becky said that not only was she not a crooked referee, she was actually, a lot of people
00:44:58are saying, the greatest referee of all time.
00:45:00A lot of people are saying that.
00:45:00And it's not just her.
00:45:02A lot of people are saying that, especially in Santiago.
00:45:04It's not just her saying it.
00:45:05And she says that Liv lost her match and she needs to get to the back of the line, is
00:45:12what she said about Liv Morgan.
00:45:13What happens when you lose?
00:45:16Can't just demand all these rematches all the time.
00:45:18A lot of champions have rematches after losing their title when a special referee flips them off in the middle
00:45:23of a pinfall attempt.
00:45:26And here comes Stephanie Vaquer.
00:45:27Stephanie Vaquer comes out and she goes like, first of all, Becky, I respect you.
00:45:33But who gave you the jurisdiction to be declaring who gets title matches and who doesn't?
00:45:38Becky's not involved.
00:45:39You're talking about people.
00:45:40Okay.
00:45:41All right.
00:45:41You're talking about people getting involved in business that's not theirs?
00:45:45Literally.
00:45:45It is hers.
00:45:46How?
00:45:47Liv Morgan comes out to challenge the champion.
00:45:49Becky is not that human.
00:45:52No, but.
00:45:52Liv Morgan lost the title to Stephanie.
00:45:55Yes.
00:45:56Liv came out to challenge Stephanie to a rematch.
00:45:59And then Becky comes out.
00:46:01Explain to me why.
00:46:02Well, she came out to call out Jordan Devlin McDonough.
00:46:05No, she did not.
00:46:06That's why she initially came out.
00:46:07No.
00:46:07But then, yes, she did.
00:46:08She got off the phone with Patricia.
00:46:10I know what she did.
00:46:10We went over this already.
00:46:12His whole life.
00:46:13I know that.
00:46:14I know that.
00:46:16But you want to get, I mean, you were about to say, because she's the reason.
00:46:21She's the reason that Stephanie Vaquer won the title.
00:46:25So that's a terrible referee.
00:46:27No, it's not.
00:46:28I will not take it.
00:46:29If I told you, if I told you that the reason somebody became a champion was Danilo, wouldn't
00:46:36you go, well, that doesn't make Danilo a very good referee?
00:46:38Well, the reason Becky lost her Intercontinental Championship was because of Jessica Carr.
00:46:43Oh, I didn't know we were doing Raw Recap from six months ago.
00:46:46I thought we were doing Raw Recap from tonight.
00:46:48I thought we were going to focus on tonight's show.
00:46:50I thought that was, did I not get the, are we doing Raw Recap six months ago?
00:46:55No, we're doing tonight's show.
00:46:56We're going to do it tonight?
00:46:56Yeah, we're going to do it tonight.
00:46:58Okay.
00:46:59So then Stephanie, and I don't know.
00:47:01I mean, Stephanie's, Stephanie's honorable.
00:47:04I will say that.
00:47:05I did agree with Liv Morgan when Stephanie was like, look, I am the champion and it has
00:47:09nothing to do with Becky.
00:47:11And then Liv called her out and was like, you're just a liar.
00:47:13Yeah.
00:47:15And that's when I said, you know what?
00:47:17I think I am on team Liv in this situation.
00:47:19That there was, it was at least something to do with Becky.
00:47:22Yeah, I feel like Stephanie needs to at least like tip her cap and be like, okay, Becky.
00:47:26Yeah.
00:47:26You helped.
00:47:27So Becky is a great referee and also responsible for the result.
00:47:32Yeah.
00:47:33Two things could be true.
00:47:34Okay.
00:47:34I didn't know those.
00:47:35They can.
00:47:35I didn't know those two things could be true.
00:47:37Yes.
00:47:38Oh, okay.
00:47:39Well, she had to, you know.
00:47:41I didn't know.
00:47:42Okay.
00:47:43Also for Liv, she doesn't defend the title.
00:47:46So when you defend your title.
00:47:47She was defending it in Santiago.
00:47:47I know, but when you defend your title, things tend to happen.
00:47:50She wasn't prepared for that.
00:47:52She literally defended her title against Stephanie Viqueire days before that with a referee who
00:47:56wasn't Becky Lynch.
00:47:58Before that, how often did she defend the title?
00:48:00She defended it against EO at SummerSlam.
00:48:02Before that?
00:48:04Not.
00:48:05Correct.
00:48:05You don't have to defend the title.
00:48:07Well.
00:48:08You can, but you don't have to.
00:48:12You know what I'm saying?
00:48:13Like.
00:48:14Yeah, technically you don't have to, but it's, people don't generally like that.
00:48:20Oh, I'm sorry.
00:48:20I didn't realize it was the popularist wrestler championship.
00:48:25You mean they don't like it?
00:48:26You think that would really upset Liv Morgan?
00:48:28No.
00:48:29But Liv, people don't like it.
00:48:30Oh, no.
00:48:32You know what Liv likes?
00:48:33Being the greatest women's champion of all time.
00:48:38Okay.
00:48:39Liv really wasn't worried about whether or not you liked how often she was defending the title.
00:48:43It wasn't really a concern, I don't think.
00:48:45She made it pretty clear.
00:48:46Listen, Liv and Becky do have one thing in common.
00:48:49They know that Stephanie wouldn't have the title without Becky.
00:48:53And then Stephanie steps up and she goes, not only will I give Liv Morgan a rematch,
00:48:58but I will also defend it against Becky Lynch.
00:49:01And I'm like, Stephanie.
00:49:02That's a lot.
00:49:03I know you're confident, but like, relax.
00:49:05Enjoy the title a little bit.
00:49:07I mean, I feel like if I were champion, I'd be more like Liv Morgan, where it's like,
00:49:11oh, you guys both want the title, huh?
00:49:14Figure it out amongst yourselves.
00:49:15Yeah, you definitely would.
00:49:16And that might be the smarter thing to do as a champion, right?
00:49:19Yeah, I'd probably join the show via satellite.
00:49:22I'd be on the big screen.
00:49:23I'm at home.
00:49:24I'm in Westchester right now.
00:49:26I'm in home.
00:49:26But you guys figure out.
00:49:28You guys, I don't know.
00:49:28Talk to Adam Pearce or something.
00:49:29You guys seem to have a handle on this.
00:49:31You guys figure this out amongst yourselves.
00:49:32Then give me a call when you're ready.
00:49:34Let me know how it goes.
00:49:35Yeah, I don't know anything about that.
00:49:37Yeah, you know, that's a great point, though, for Stephanie.
00:49:40Is this wise of her?
00:49:41I mean, by your standards, she, I think, fits more by your standard.
00:49:46Champions got to defend.
00:49:48Yeah, got to defend.
00:49:49But you're going to defend against the greatest female wrestler of all time.
00:49:52And then also.
00:49:53Becky Lynch.
00:49:54Well.
00:49:55Right.
00:49:56Well, I was referring to Becky Lynch when I said the greatest female wrestler of all time.
00:49:59Well, I mean, technically.
00:50:01But that was the greatest women's world champion of all time.
00:50:04If you're the champion and you're going to defend against every, you should be, yes,
00:50:08you should be defending your title against the person who that people are saying is the
00:50:12best.
00:50:13Because if you're the champion, you're supposed to be the best.
00:50:16So, yes, you're not supposed to find like, you know, you should be like TLC.
00:50:19You're supposed to not want no scrubs.
00:50:21That's right.
00:50:23Supposed to.
00:50:24But if you can get away, like if I were champion, I'd try to defend against scrubs.
00:50:30Because you keep the title longer that way, you know?
00:50:32So, but don't you think maybe Stephanie should approach this like one at a time?
00:50:36I mean, I would think so.
00:50:37Yes, I do.
00:50:38Yes, I do.
00:50:38But that seems difficult too.
00:50:40Like I have a problem with Liv.
00:50:42I also have a problem with Becky.
00:50:44Maybe I'll handle my Liv problem and then I'll handle my Becky problem.
00:50:47But she tried that already.
00:50:48She was in a match with Liv Morgan.
00:50:49Becky Lynch comes out.
00:50:51She didn't match with Becky Lynch.
00:50:52Liv Morgan's going to come out.
00:50:54She's got a lot on her plate right now, this Stephanie, if I care.
00:50:57She asked for it, you know?
00:50:58And she got help getting it.
00:51:01Speaking about getting help, everybody's got to get themselves some help and get some

00:52:08Now, when we talk about the Judgment Day and everything, of course, it was a big night
00:52:11for Roxanne Perez who made it in to the Money in the Bank ladder match, but also the Money
00:52:19in the Bank ladder match on the men's side causing quite a bit of friction.
00:52:24Javon Evans, I feel like Javon Evans has entered into this space where, you know, Byron Saxton,
00:52:31who I heard if you ask him, what do you think of Javon Evans, you know what he'd say?
00:52:35I like him.
00:52:36That's right.
00:52:37I like him.
00:52:38I like him.
00:52:40But that didn't come up because he was unbiased in his journalism.
00:52:43Corey Graves likes him, too.
00:52:44He did say, that's true.
00:52:45That's true.
00:52:46What's nothing like about Javon Evans?
00:52:47I mean.
00:52:48He's a party.
00:52:49Very fun to watch.
00:52:50But I don't think Javon Evans likes the fact that that's how people describe him.
00:52:54I don't think that Javon Evans loves the idea of, like, isn't it fun that you're the youngest
00:52:59person that's ever been in a ladder match?
00:53:01Isn't it fun that you do these crazy moves?
00:53:04Right, no.
00:53:04That just electrify crowds?
00:53:05Yeah, that sounds like somebody that you talk to that is specializing in exhibition
00:53:11matches.
00:53:12And I think Javon Evans is getting to this point where he realizes that he's on the main
00:53:16roster.
00:53:16He's in shark-infested waters.
00:53:19And he's got to stand out.
00:53:20And I think there's an aggressive streak that has been forming in Javon Evans for the last
00:53:25several weeks that we really saw on display tonight.
00:53:29Yeah, when you talk about Javon Evans in a ladder match, everybody goes, oh, can you imagine
00:53:32the crazy things that Javon Evans is going to do, but we haven't yet dove into, can you
00:53:38imagine when Javon Evans climbs up to the top of the ladder, grabs that briefcase, and
00:53:43what he'll do next to become champion?
00:53:45When you say we haven't dove into it yet, and you're talking about Javon Evans, was that
00:53:49a pun?
00:53:50It wasn't a pun.
00:53:51I wish it was.
00:53:52Nice.
00:53:53I wish I could just lie to you and say, yeah, I planned that.
00:53:56But no, it wasn't.
00:53:57Lie next time.
00:53:58All right.
00:53:58So own it.
00:53:59That's right.
00:54:00I lie all the time.
00:54:01Yeah.
00:54:01Non-stop.
00:54:02I mean, we all know.
00:54:03I was lying just then.
00:54:04I don't lie.
00:54:07So I got him in there.
00:54:08Ridiculous.
00:54:11So Javon Evans counts these members of the vision.
00:54:16And instead of being like, okay, that's too many, he counts five and slaps Braun Breaker.
00:54:20I was jaw on the floor when he did that.
00:54:23Across the face.
00:54:24Now we get to this match, Javon Evans versus Braun Breaker.
00:54:28And I thought that it was a really sort of outstanding, compelling match to see where
00:54:35Javon Evans is at right now.
00:54:37The fact that like, Javon Evans did not have an answer for Braun Breaker's power.
00:54:43Braun Breaker was bullying Javon Evans at the beginning of this match.
00:54:47But he went in completely confident.
00:54:51He went in unafraid of Javon Evans catching him.
00:54:54And Javon Evans caught him.
00:54:56And when Javon starts going, if you don't catch up to him and stop him, he's not going to stop.
00:55:03And I think that that's what we saw in this match.
00:55:05From the dives to the flips, the strikes, the kicks.
00:55:10The fact that Javon would take out Braun Breaker.
00:55:13And then he'd take out Theory.
00:55:15And then he took out Bronson Reed and then get back in the ring so he was ready for Braun
00:55:19Breaker.
00:55:20And you're sitting there going like Braun, the speed.
00:55:22When does this guy come up for air?
00:55:24Speed is usually Braun Breaker's weapon.
00:55:26Yeah.
00:55:27But Javon Evans, I mean, he's a bolt of lightning.
00:55:31Truly.
00:55:31It's incredible to watch this guy go.
00:55:35We see, and I think that that was the difference between what Braun and Javon Evans were doing.
00:55:41The Braun Breaker was powerful and aggressive, but it was ego-driven.
00:55:48Whereas Javon Evans seemed to be coming from a place where he had a chip on his shoulder.
00:55:52Yeah, I felt that a lot from Javon Evans, especially the fact that he counted the vision members, slaps them
00:55:58in the face, and immediately goes out.
00:56:01He was not taken aback by the numbers game.
00:56:05He was just as confident.
00:56:07And even when Braun Breaker brings his power towards him, Javon Evans matches him with the speed and agility and
00:56:15his ability to just not stop, right?
00:56:18Yes, and it was really, really impressive to the point that the match didn't end until Javon was going for
00:56:25that OG cutter.
00:56:27And Theory got involved, the referee saw him, ring the bell, DQ, no contest, Javon Evans, I guess we get
00:56:33the decision via disqualification.
00:56:36But the beatdown was about to commence, and then boom, Oba's music hits.
00:56:43And you almost forgot for a second that this guy was looming.
00:56:46You almost forgot for a second that this guy had a score to settle based on what the vision did
00:56:51to him right after Bronson Reed returned to the WWE.
00:56:55And here he comes, and I swear, Megan, I swear he was bigger when he came out.
00:57:00Every time, he looks bigger.
00:57:02Like, I could not believe it.
00:57:05Oba coming out, making the save, and taking out the entire vision, including Bronson Reed.
00:57:11Logan Paul tries to dive in the ring with a chair.
00:57:14I mean, I feel like a day or so removed from spending 30 hours hunting Pokemon on a live stream.
00:57:21Logan Paul thinks he can go from hunting Pokemon to hunting Obafemi.
00:57:26He can't hunt the ruler like Pokemon.
00:57:28Nope, didn't work out for him.
00:57:29No.
00:57:30Obafemi stopped him in his tracks, took the chair, and used that chair to completely dismantle the vision,
00:57:36and then opened the gateway for Javon Evans, picking up Javon Evans and using him as a weapon,
00:57:42throwing him into the entire vision.
00:57:46Now, we knew how powerful he is throwing things and people, right?
00:57:52Yes.
00:57:52This is a former shot putter.
00:57:53But when Obafemi was just kicking Bronson Reed.
00:57:58Oh, did you see how high that boot got up?
00:58:00Oh, my gosh.
00:58:01Unbelievable.
00:58:03And Obafemi, by the way, came out in his gear.
00:58:05Yes.
00:58:06Obafemi didn't come out in his style.
00:58:08This wasn't stylish Oba.
00:58:09No.
00:58:10This was fighting Oba.
00:58:11That's exactly what he did.
00:58:13And I mean, it really was.
00:58:14I swear.
00:58:15And I said it out loud when it happened.
00:58:17Like, you watch this guy, and you listen to the reaction.
00:58:21And I'm just sitting there going, Oba's the guy.
00:58:22And it doesn't even matter if there's five, six, seven.
00:58:26If it's Obafemi, you can overcome any numbers advantage.
00:58:29And that's what you want.
00:58:30And that's what you want to see.
00:58:31When you're in the audience, that's what you want to see.
00:58:33And he does the pose at the end and everything.
00:58:36It was just remarkable.
00:58:38The look of intensity on this guy's face.
00:58:42And look at it.
00:58:43There's Obafemi signs behind him.
00:58:46I mean, this is it.
00:58:49That's the face of nightmares.
00:58:52That is what is controlling destiny in the WWE, not just for him, but for everybody.
00:58:58It's one of those where no matter what your goals are in WWE, that's what you've got to deal with.
00:59:03So get used to it.
00:59:04And this right here, this site of Obafemi right here is why Paul Heyman has to keep reminding Braun Breaker
00:59:12that there's air in Obafemi's lungs.
00:59:14Okay, yeah, but I liked what Braun Breaker did.
00:59:16You did?
00:59:17Braun Breaker going right up to Paul Heyman.
00:59:20Because this whole, you know, trying to win over Paul Heyman's approval, for me, it's not a good look on
00:59:26Braun Breaker.
00:59:27No.
00:59:27Braun Breaker shouldn't be looking to win over anybody's approval.
00:59:30He's Braun Breaker.
00:59:31Okay.
00:59:32And Paul Heyman goes, hello, Mr. Breaker.
00:59:35We haven't heard him call him Mr. Breaker yet.
00:59:38I don't know.
00:59:39I don't know.
00:59:40Paul Heyman's always addressed him.
00:59:42He might have.
00:59:43I'm not 100% sure.
00:59:45But after hearing Mr. Breaker, Braun Breaker calls him, hello, Paul.
00:59:49And you're like, okay, we're setting the table already.
00:59:54And Paul Heyman looks at Braun Breaker, and he says, there is air in Obafemi's lungs, and that's bad news
01:00:03for you.
01:00:04And then Braun Breaker, who has had about enough of hearing that from Paul Heyman, looks at Paul Heyman, and
01:00:11he goes, yep.
01:00:13But there's air in my lungs, and that's bad news for everybody.
01:00:19Paul Heyman looks at him and goes, everybody?
01:00:22And I mean, daggers in his eyes.
01:00:26Braun Breaker looks at Paul Heyman and says, everybody.
01:00:31Now, I don't know if Paul Heyman is enacting some kind of strategy to bring out that daug in Braun
01:00:38Breaker.
01:00:39But I'm telling you right now, there may be a Braun Breaker problem that's brewing.
01:00:45Everybody wants to look into what's going on in the future.
01:00:49You know, everybody's talking about that Cody Rhodes promo from SmackDown.
01:00:52How could you not?
01:00:53And looking for all the sort of long play clues in that.
01:00:57There's so many things when you look across what's going on in the main event scene on Raw, what's going
01:01:01on in the main event scene on SmackDown.
01:01:02But I'm telling you right now, these interactions between Braun Breaker and Paul Heyman, they need to be studied because
01:01:08something is happening.
01:01:09There's a lot of stuff that goes on with Braun Breaker now where you go, what is happening?
01:01:12Like, what is going on with Braun Breaker?
01:01:14And I'm telling you that it's a question worth asking.
01:01:20Because we're going to get to a something's got to give point.
01:01:24And if Paul Heyman is pushing Braun Breaker to try to get the best Braun Breaker, by the time he
01:01:28does get the best Braun Breaker, is that somebody that Braun Breaker is going to want to be around?
01:01:32Paul Heyman.
01:01:35Or is he going to push him too far and turn him into a monster that he can't control?
01:01:40You know, that may be what he's dealing with here.
01:01:43I'm fascinated by it.
01:01:44I'm intrigued.
01:01:44I'm beyond intrigued by it.
01:01:45Given that it's Paul Heyman right now, both are on the table.
01:01:50That's right.
01:01:50That's right.
01:01:51But given that it's Braun Breaker, Paul Heyman may not have as much control as he thinks he does.
01:01:55Oh, wow.
01:01:57It's Braun Breaker.
01:01:58Like, we lose sight of that too much.
01:02:02That's Braun Breaker.
01:02:03Okay?
01:02:04Obafemi's not the only guy who's the future.
01:02:07There's room.
01:02:08And there's a lot of story to tell.
01:02:10And we're going to keep looking at that story, observing that story, maybe even recapping that story.
