00:08.
00:21The following contest scheduled for one call is for
00:25the Intercontinental Championship.
00:32Introducing first, accompanied by the Women's Tag Team Champion, Liv Morkin.
00:40Representing the Judgment Day from San Diego, California,
00:44weighing in at 200 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion.
00:52The end, Dirty Dominic Mysterio!
01:02I asked Dominic earlier on why he was at AAA's World Collide today,
01:07and it makes me say, because I'm the best luchador on the planet,
01:10they deserve to be there celebrating me.
01:12So what does he do?
01:13He comes out in the lucha match, and he throws it on the ground,
01:16showing complete disrespect to the luchadors who paved the way.
01:19What are you talking about? Look, the greatest luchador on the planet,
01:23Dirty Don Mysterio chose to grace Worlds Collide with his presence.
01:29His own deadbeat dad Rey Mysterio tries to upstage him,
01:33fails, he gets disrespected, I'm not surprised there's a backlash.
01:37Okay, wait, you can spew your propaganda here.
01:51Why did Dominic just try to hit you with his jacket, Pat?
01:54And he missed, obviously. Dominic Mysterio couldn't hit that.
01:58I don't know why, maybe because we've been pretty loud haters.
02:03But I appreciate that he put his title on the line tonight.
02:05I don't care why he did it, I like that he did it.
02:07He did it to prove a point, he fears no lucha on planet Earth,
02:12especially not his victim tonight.
02:15What an honor it is to be here.
02:17Introducing the challenger from Mexico City, Mexico,
02:24weighted at 185 pounds, Octagon Jr.
02:35Triple-A luchadores cheering him on at ringside, Octagon Jr.
02:39earlier this year battled it out for the Triple-A Mega Championship.
02:45Makingo, the current champion, defended successfully against Chad Gable
02:49earlier today at Worlds Collide.
02:51Chad Gable still cannot defeat luchadores.
02:54He was proven again tonight.
02:56Chad Gable really should move on from the world of lucha libre
03:00and leave it to the experts like Dirty Tom Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
03:06Chad will be in action later tonight as El Grande Americano.
03:11Referee Eddie Arango holding up the prestigious Intercontinental Championship.
03:16What a win this would be for Octagon Jr.
03:19to come into Money in the Bank tonight and win the Intercontinental title.
03:23What a moment here for Octagon Jr.
03:25I think we're in for some golden magic here in Los Angeles.
03:29Well, I'll tell you one thing, those of you who follow TNA know Octagon Jr. well.
03:35Part of the Aztec Warriors with Laredo.
03:40Just hypnotized Dominic Mysterio.
03:43I think we're gonna see a lot of that tonight.
03:44Uh-oh.
03:46And Dominic Mysterio wasn't sure he was in control, obviously not,
03:50as Arana sends him out of the ring.
03:52Octagon Jr., a high flyer, out and out of the apron.
03:55An early feeling out, oh!
03:57Springboard moonsault takes out Dominic Mysterio.
04:01Early feeling out moment for Dirty Don Mysterio and none of that felt good whatsoever.
04:07It's good, he deserved it.
04:08He deserved it.
04:09In what way did he deserve it?
04:10His father Rey Mysterio as we take another look at Octagon Jr.
04:13Dominic's father Rey Mysterio shows up at Worlds Collide today.
04:16Big ovation for the Hall of Famer.
04:17One of the greatest, if not the greatest Luchador of all time.
04:20And Dominic's gotta be there of course to try to steal his dad's spotlight.
04:23Rey Mysterio hanging on to Dirty Dom's coattails.
04:27There's only one champion out of those two, and it's Dirty Dom.
04:30Whatever the case, Dirty Dominic Mysterio put his title on the line tonight.
04:34Yeah, we've seen him do this before.
04:36Tying the Lucha mask to the bottom rope, which will allow Dominic.
04:40And you asked a little earlier, why did Dirty Dom rip the Lucha mask off himself?
04:45Case in point right there.
04:47That's a fool.
04:49Well, he didn't have tails on his.
04:50Well, nonetheless, Dominic Mysterio defending the Intercontinental title tonight.
04:55It was his idea.
04:56Why on earth would Dominic want to put his title on the line?
04:58It's a statement.
04:59Look, I'm so dominant in the world of Lucha Libre.
05:02I get it.
05:02Triple A's fantastic.
05:04You ain't Dirty Dom fantastic though.
05:06The rest of those Triple A Luchadors are all fighting out for third place in the rankings
05:12when it comes to the great Luchadors on planet earth.
05:15The snarky Liv Morgan, what happened to the tag team champions on the women's side out here
05:20with her boyfriend Dominic Mysterio.
05:22Dominic just tossed his skirt at Octagon Jr's voice.
05:32The Triple A contingent as he pounds away on Octagon Jr.
05:37Dirty Dom is sending a message right now.
05:39Triple A, you guys are great.
05:41Stay in your world.
05:42You cross over here, you cross over to Raw, you cross over to SmackDown.
05:46This is what's waiting for you, the Dirty Dom treatment.
05:49Yeah, but if that worlds collide is any indicator of what the future looks like with WWE and Triple A
05:54coming together.
05:54Thank God for that.
05:57Octagon Jr.
05:58Corkscrew arm drag from the top rope.
06:00That right there is classic Octagon Jr.
06:03Now a kick to the face of Dominic Mysterio.
06:07Dirty Dom's getting chanted about as Octagon Jr.
06:10Wow, look at that cover now.
06:12Is enough to put him away and a kick out by Dominic Mysterio.
06:16Octagon Jr., former Triple A Latin American champion, also a former Triple A World Trios champion.
06:22Of course, we all know Lucha Libre, of course, is a specialism in Mexico.
06:28That's really the home of that style.
06:30But right here in the US, the spiritual home is here in Los Angeles.
06:34The people of LA have been banging on about Worlds Collide and Lucha Libre for weeks now.
06:40And now Dominic Mysterio was looking for three amigos and Octagon Jr.
06:46Able to counter.
06:48Oh, look at that.
06:48Great move by Dominic.
06:50Cover now.
06:51Off that driver and a kick out by Octagon Jr. at two.
06:56Dominic Mysterio kind of finding the rhythm of the match, taking control completely Octagon Jr.
07:02and a night he'll remember forever here.
07:04Well, you know, it's interesting.
07:05Ever since becoming the champion, he sort of left his Judgment Boy teammates high and dry.
07:11Judgment Day teammates high and dry.
07:13619 didn't connect as Octagon ducks out of harm's way.
07:16He is a little bit of a Judgment Boy though, isn't he?
07:19Yeah, true.
07:19Oh, bang, right to the face.
07:21Although he and Liv Morgan really made quite the scene at the Netflix event.
07:26Here's the cover now.
07:27Hook of the leg on Mysterio and a kick out at two.
07:30Tadum.
07:30Tadum, exactly.
07:31It's the thing about a great man like Dirty Don Mysterio.
07:35He always has a great woman in baby cakes.
07:37Liv Morgan.
07:38What the hell?
07:40Is that her nickname?
07:42It's their pet name for each other.
07:43That's how you know it's true love.
07:44How do you know their pet name?
07:46You tell me.
07:47I'm close with them.
07:48Very friendly.
07:48I'm respectful unlike you two.
07:50And now Liv Morgan up on the apron.
07:52No shock here.
07:53Trying to provide the distraction and it pays off for Dominic.
07:56Octagon Jr.
07:58Way to go Liv.
08:00Sitting down on a turnbuckle.
08:02Dominic now drop kick to the back of the neck.
