00:00All right, 49ers will take on the Seahawks
00:03in what could determine the division at some point.
00:06I know the Rams will have something to say about that.
00:08All those three teams probably all going to make the playoffs, honestly, this year.
00:12Seattle is minus three in this game.
00:15San Francisco is catching points.
00:17It's not going to happen a lot this year,
00:19but a major injury for the 49ers is not having Kyle Juszczyk.
00:24I mean, that is the guy that's been blocking for Christian McCaffrey
00:28for several years, Joe, and they generally play a lot better when he's in
00:31as opposed to when he's out.
00:33But Seattle has been a little Jekyll and Hyde also in their games this season.
00:36They looked like the best team in the NFL in the first half against the Chargers.
00:40They looked absolutely horrendous in the second half of that game against the Chargers.
00:44The Chargers almost came all the way back to tie and even win that game.
00:47So I think the line is right.
00:49Tough one to call.
00:50It's always a tough division game.
00:52What do you make of this matchup in Seattle later today?
00:56Well, this game last year in season was very under, right?
01:01These were two teams that really kind of just had a beat on each other.
01:04And what Mike McDonald's been able to do in the last two games,
01:06especially against Christian McCaffrey, is incredible.
01:08Over the last three games, zero touchdowns for Christian McCaffrey
01:11against the Seattle Seahawks.
01:12I thought that was a fascinating stat.
01:14And on top of that, what you've seen is, you know,
01:16they really stop him from running the football.
01:18They've had to go to the pass game for him.
01:20That's the only place he's found success.
01:21Last year in the first game, they played each other, 73 receiving yards.
01:25And then he combined in the playoff game, which was absolutely brutal,
01:29just a stomp in a mud hole in the 49ers.
01:31He combined for less than that in those two.
01:3435 rushing yards for McCaffrey in that playoff game.
01:3623 in the other one that he played last year.
01:40That first one was at Seattle where he did run for 69.
01:42But stopping or really slowing down Christian McCaffrey
01:45is the secret sauce of stopping the 49ers.
01:47It seems like Mike McDonald knows how to do that.
01:49Now they do have Mike Evans, all right?
01:51So that's different than last year.
01:52So a little different hope.
01:53It's a tough place to play.
01:54It's a tough environment.
01:56This is a really tricky one.
01:57Again, the one thing I feel like I can control is that with Holani as questionable,
02:02Emmanuel Wilson is going to get the lion's share of these carries.
02:04So I like Emmanuel Wilson here for the touchdown equity.
02:07I like him for the over on his rushing total.
02:09I think this is one of the few things you can really control in this game
02:12because the environment is tricky.
02:14It is a very difficult in-division game, tough road matchup for Purdy.
02:19If this was in San Fran, I'd feel more optimistic for Purdy.
02:22But I think going into this week, starting guys like Kirk Cousins
02:26or Jacoby Brissett over Purdy is possibly advisable.
02:30I mean, I think Brissett especially in that matchup against the Lions.
02:33So a really tricky game here, one where I'm trying to go to where I can control it again.
02:38I think Emmanuel Wilson is where you can control things
02:41because Charbonnet is not ready to play.
02:43Holani is limited at best.
02:44So I think you can see a lot of run the football, playing defense,
02:47and we all know one can stop JSN.
02:50I'll lean towards the Seahawks here at home.
02:52But it is a very tough one here, Craig, for me.
02:55Yeah, I agree.
02:55Tough one to call.
02:56It's my stay away, one of them for the week.
02:58Peace.
02:58Peace.
