उत्तर प्रदेश में ज़िला मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर के चरथावल ब्लॉक में मंगलवार को किसानों की विभिन्न मांगों को लेकर भारतीय किसान यूनियन के द्वारा एक पंचायत का आयोजन किया। जिसमें आसपास के किसानों ने हिस्सा लिया। भारतीय किसान यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष नरेश टिकैत भी इस पंचायत में किसानों को संबोधित किया। चौधरी नरेश टिकैत ने कहा हैं कि हर किसी की निगाह किसानों पर है। वर्ष 2013 में मेरठ चुनावी जनसभा में प्रधानमंत्री बनने से पहले नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा था कि सरकार बनने पर गन्ने का भाव 450 रुपये क्विंटल होगा। लेकिन सवा नौ साल बाद भाव कहां है, हर किसान जानता है। सरकार किसानों की अनदेखी कर रही है।

Bharatiya Kisan Union organized a panchayat in Charthawal, Muzaffarnagar, on Tuesday to address various demands of farmers. Local farmers participated in this gathering, where the National President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, Naresh Tikait addressed the farmers. Chaudhary Naresh Tikait stated that everyone’s attention is on the farmers. In the 2013 election rally in Meerut, before becoming Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had said that the sugarcane price would be 450 rupees per quintal if his government came into power. But after more than seven years, where is that price? Every farmer knows. The government is ignoring the farmers."
