Haze continued to blanket Singapore on Monday as forest fires in neighboring Indonesia continued to burn. Air quality levels remain “unhealthy” according to monitoring service IQAir, with a city reading of 171 as of 9 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Indonesia is battling its most intense wildfires in 11 years, mainly on Sumatra and Borneo islands, and their government has warned the blazes could continue until November, aggravated by the El Niño weather pattern.
