00:00I would not, if I'm the Patriots.
00:01I know he's eligible.
00:02I would have A.J. Thursday night in Chicago as his first game back.
00:06You would?
00:06Yeah, I would probably do the same thing.
00:08I agree with you on that because I feel like you're good enough to beat Vegas.
00:11Not Vegas, the Jets without him.
00:14And, you know, you've got to go to Chicago and play.
00:17That's probably, you know, the best place to kind of roll A.J. out there,
00:20a better team than the Jets.
00:22Also, like a short week going back, like your first game back than a short week.
00:25Yeah, that's a good point.
00:26Yeah, I think that's what they – my guess is is that they have Will Campbell
00:31the week after the Bears, so he'll miss two games.
00:33So back from Miami, right?
00:35Back from Miami.
00:36And you figure it out.
00:37This weekend is a get-right game.
00:40Well, I think you can beat the Jets easily without A.J. Brown.
00:44Well, you have a nice stretch, though.
00:45Even throw Chicago in there, you have a nice stretch in the sense of it's favorable.
00:51You have the Jets at home, Chicago on the road, and then Miami's at home, correct?
00:56And you look at that stretch and you go, okay, we got rid of the hottest teams
01:01that we were going to play the first four games of the season.
01:03The second stretch looks like, all right, it's a little bit easier for us.
01:06Now you reminded me because you're talking about the end of the season.
01:10To be clear, the announcement that the Super Bowl is going to stream on Disney,
01:17it will still be available for the olds for free for the time being, correct?
01:22For the time being.
01:23Okay, but this announcement makes it more than likely that we will be paying for the Super Bowl
01:28going forward at some point very soon, correct?
01:31This is what we call greasing the skids.
01:33Okay.
01:34This is dipping the toe in.
01:35And then they're going to be like, more people watched on the streamer,
01:38so we're going to go fully streamer.
01:39But aren't you really paying for it now?
01:42The Super Bowl is just going to be on ABC.
01:44Yeah, it's going to be on cable.
01:45Right, but don't most people pay for some type of cable?
01:50No, I mean, there's a lot of people that don't, that just get the over-the-air TV.
01:55Oh, you mean like, you mean so there are a lot of people that just have no cable and have
01:59no stream
02:00and like YouTube television?
02:02Well, but even people who have cable have a monthly cable bill.
02:05Right.
02:05Which has forever included the Super Bowl for free.
02:08Right.
02:08So now you're going to have an additional cost when and if it is a pay-per-view event.
02:15If it's pay-per-view, I don't think it ever gets the pay-per-view,
02:19but I think it gets to, oh, it might be on Disney or whatever, Netflix,
02:24where you have to pay to have a subscription to have one of those.
02:28Right?
02:29You're still going to be just paying more for the people that have cable,
02:32that don't want to get all the different streaming networks.
02:34Right.
02:35But I think, I don't think it's ever, I guess maybe the way I should clear it up,
02:38I don't think it's ever going to be to how, like,
02:39you used to have to pay to see a fight on pay-per-view,
02:42a hundred bucks for a Mayweather fight or a Mike Tyson fight.
02:46According to one report, 25 million American households,
02:50so that could be 60 million people, use over-the-air antenna to watch TV.
02:56Really?
02:56Really?
02:56Oh, I love it.
02:57I love it.
02:59You should go back to that.
03:00It's the best way to go.
03:01All right.
03:01We addressed this earlier, but obviously people listen,
03:04when they can listen,
03:06does Wiggy still believe that Drake May is regressing?
03:09And he said, no, he believes he is now.
03:11He's in the progress category.
03:14He's progressing.
03:15He is definitely progressing to what I expected him to be at the start of the season.
03:19What I saw over these last two weeks with him,
03:22seven touchdowns, one interception.
03:24That's what I expected from Drake May when the season started.
03:28I didn't expect a guy that was going to have one touchdown and what,
03:31six interceptions.
03:32And so, yes,
03:33he's progressing back to the player that I was expecting this season.
03:38And I expect him to stay on this path from here on out.
03:42He'll have a bad game here and there.
03:43That's just the nature of the beast.
03:45But the majority of the games that he plays,
03:48I expect him to look like what I saw yesterday.
03:50Maybe he's not thrown four touchdowns and no picks.
03:54Maybe he's thrown two touchdowns and an interception,
03:56a three and an interception like the week prior.
03:59But I expect somebody who's accurate.
04:01I expect somebody whose completion percentage is going to be, you know,
04:05above 61, 62% in the game, who's going to make plays with his legs,
04:10who's going to be dropping dimes, who's not going to be making bad decisions.
04:14And doing it, just to be clear, without Matt Collins, without A.J. Brown,
04:20with Romeo Dobbs, who jury is still out, I think, on Romeo Dobbs,
04:24from my perspective, at least.
04:25I mean, he's getting better.
04:26Who do you think he trusts more in a big spot?
04:28Romeo Dobbs or Efton Chisholm?
04:30I think it's Chisholm.
04:31I don't trust Dobbs at all.
04:33Chisholm climbed that ladder to get another one yesterday, Wiggy.
04:36Chisholm has done a good job.
04:37I mean, he's getting his opportunity.
04:38And, you know, and you know what happens when you got small,
04:42white slot receivers,
04:43they get thrown right into the West Welker, Julian Edelman,
04:46and he's done a good job of doing that.
04:49Granted, they kind of use him on the outside.
04:51They use him on the inside.
04:52He's done a good job.
04:53He's taken advantage of his opportunity as an undrafted kid
04:56that can make some plays for you.
04:59And, you know, and him, Pop Douglas, we obviously saw Kyle Williams.
05:04He was like, talk about somebody who was in the witness protection program
05:07and where'd he come from, you know?
05:08Yeah.
05:09But you have to do this every week.
05:11That's the difference.
05:12Like when you're, when you have, when, when you have guys out
05:15and you're a guy who steps up and you start to make plays
05:18and maybe you're, you have to be that guy every week, right?
05:21You might not be going out there, Kyle Williams,
05:24and catching, you know, five, six balls.
05:25But when you get your one or two opportunities,
05:28you got to take advantage of it.
05:29You got to make, and you got to make plays.
05:31And I think ultimately that's what they're doing right now.
05:33And Drake is, you could see Drake is kind of spreading the wealth.
05:36Can I ask you, because you know him better than anybody,
05:38but Mike Rabel after the game yesterday,
05:40it almost seemed, and Karen Grigian called him out on it too,
05:43like he wasn't overly happy about the win.
05:47Is that just to keep guys level-headed?
05:49Like, don't get too high, don't get too low?
05:51Or, because he kept saying, like, there's a lot we still need to improve on.
05:54Is there a lot they still need to improve on?
05:56Yeah, yeah, like that's Rabel.
05:58Like, I mean, and I think that's most football coaches, right?
06:01They want it to always be, and there always used to be a saying,
06:06hey, it's never as good as you think, or it's never as bad as you think.
06:10We'll come in, we'll watch the film, or never get too high, never get too low.
06:13And I think that's what Rabel looks at.
06:15Like, oh, it was a good game.
06:16We did a lot of great things well, but we could still clean this up,
06:20clean that up.
06:21And then your players start to see that.
06:22You don't want your guys thinking they've arrived,
06:24and they could just roll the ball out there and win.
06:26And he does a good job of that.
06:28And I don't think whoever said it was, I'm reading the Twitch chat,
06:32and somebody's like, Kyle Williams is suddenly a stud, LOLZ.
06:38No.
06:38Like, no, I don't know that anybody said that.
06:41I think you got a, he appeared finally.
06:43Why isn't LOL enough?
06:45Well, it's LOLs.
06:47It means they're laughing at that.
06:48I think many, many things.
06:49Lolz.
06:50Yeah, many things.
06:51Like, maybe laughing at all of us.
06:53I was laughing all loudly.
06:54Yeah, that's stupid.
06:56But I think Kyle Williams is, he made some plays in the game yesterday.
07:02And that's why I said it's about consistency.
07:04Are you going to now do that next week?
07:06Because if guys are going to still be out,
07:08are you still going to make those same plays?
07:11You're still going to make those big catches.
07:12Like, you might only get one or two opportunities.
07:15What do you like, Chisholm?
07:16Over two weeks, he's gotten just a handful of opportunities,
07:20and he's made plays.
07:21Now, you've got to continue to do that week in and week out.
07:24And that's going to be the same thing that's going to be on Kyle Williams' plate,
07:27Pop Douglas' plate, whether it's Eli Reardon's plate,
07:31you know, obviously Hunter Henry.
07:32Like, you guys got to consistently do this week in and week out.
07:35All right.
