00:01Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department Director Commissioner Datuk Rusti
00:07Mohamed Issa said police had recorded statements from six witnesses in an investigation into an
00:13alleged failure to transfer RM230.9 million in government revenue involving MyEG Services
00:20Bahad and Zetrix AI Bahad. He said police received a report on October 7 concerning
00:26the transaction and then opened an investigation paper on it. He said several other individuals
00:33will also be called to have their statements recorded. He also said they had received relevant
00:38documents that are being examined. He said appropriate action would be taken against
00:44any party found to be involved in criminal activity. Last week the transport ministry said services
00:54provided by the two companies as collection agents for the road transport department have been
01:00suspended over RM314 million in unremitted government revenues. They said the outstanding arrears
01:08accumulated between May 19 and September 30 this year involving revenue collections that were not
01:16transferred to the ministry's accounting office's main collection account. They said in August the
01:22company submitted a post-dated cheque for September 30 amounting to RM231 million to cover arrears owed at
01:32the time. However, when the cheque was presented for processing on September 30, the bank did not
01:38process it on instructions from the company itself. As a result of that, the ministry said they were
01:45compelled to take the drastic measure of suspending the company's services.
