00:00Give it to me now. Please.
00:03I'm playing, making you wait.
00:04Respectfully.
00:09Respectfully.
00:12Whether or not people owe Jose Ramirez an apology coming up in moments.
00:15However, we gotta do it.
00:17And the reason you have to do it is because you can't just do it one week and then say,
00:21well, no, it ceases to exist after that because they lost to the Jets.
00:24Then you're just doing things to do things.
00:26No, there's a rhyme and a reason to everything.
00:28You know, a wise man once said, what's its reason for living?
00:32And this is its reason for living.
00:34There's still three and two.
00:35Do you want me to go first?
00:36Do you want to go first?
00:37I'll go first.
00:38Yeah, go ahead.
00:38Go first this week because we'll stagger it because last week it was me.
00:42Fast and strong.
00:43Here we go.
00:43Number one.
00:44This is, this is again, this is a prediction.
00:47One, Kansas City.
00:49Two, when it comes to the playoffs.
00:50Buffalo.
00:51Remember, it's, it's divisional winners.
00:52One through four.
00:54Kansas City, Buffalo.
00:55Baltimore.
00:55Baltimore now, number three.
00:57Jacksonville, number four.
01:00My rhyme or reason to it?
01:01I'm not sure.
01:02Big win with Tyler Huntley, though.
01:04That's a big win.
01:05That was.
01:06It's a deep team.
01:07New England, number five.
01:08I think they might, I think they might have fixed themselves.
01:11They look like a completely different team.
01:13They look like that win over Buffalo and then playing the Vegas Raiders, which might be coming
01:16back down to earth, but what are they saying about us?
01:19And then Cincinnati, number six.
01:21Ooh, okay.
01:23Number seven.
01:23I still have the Browns.
01:25I still have the Browns at number seven.
01:27Okay.
01:27Even though that, I said that you're going to lose some games that are people think you
01:31should win because you're still not that great, but not that great teams make the
01:35playoffs every year.
01:35Go right on.
01:36My top four remain unchanged from a week ago, Chiefs, Bills, Jacksonville, and Baltimore.
01:43So I have those teams in the exact same spot.
01:45Now we get into the wild card, and a lot of this is because I wondered if that offseason
01:53stuff was getting to Vrabel.
01:55Now it looks like they've righted the ship, and it looks like Drake May is back and looking
01:59like the guy from last year, maybe exercising some of the early season demons when he was
02:05just throwing the ball up for grabs.
02:06It was just uncharacteristic from what we had seen last year.
02:10So I have the Pats as that number one wild card spot a week ago.
02:17Well, I wouldn't say there was an uproar, but I had the Texans in there because I said
02:20that's crazy.
02:21I said the schedule stuff.
02:23I actually moved the Texans up a spot from seven to six as they got their first win of
02:29the year.
02:29I am still buying the Houston Texans more than most, and now I was debating an AFC North
02:39team to be there at the end, the number seven team.
02:44I still have the Browns.
02:45All right.
02:46Even though they have no running game, and I'm worried about their offensive line.
02:50Is this a homer pick?
02:51It probably is a little bit.
02:53If I were not in Cleveland, I probably would not have them.
02:55And I hate when hosts do that.
02:57I always say, what would you do if you weren't in Cleveland?
03:00But I still have some belief in them.
03:03Usually you like Todd Munkin, and you like some of the young players on the team.
03:06It's only natural, okay?
03:07But that makes Baltimore's game on Sunday that much bigger of an issue, something we
03:12will discuss later on this week.
03:14If they lose to Baltimore...
03:15Again, this is why seven in heaven exists, because now there is more heat on what's to
03:21come against the Baltimore Ravens.
03:23Thank you very much.
03:25Champions pose.
03:25Also, should I be doing Champions pose on somebody else?
03:29Or about a subject concerning somebody else?
03:32Marvin Harrison Jr.
03:34He's going to the Texans for a second and a sixth round of the former fourth overall pick
03:39he has done in Arizona.
03:41There's a couple of ways of looking at this, because I've seen his stats compared to his
03:45father over the first two years of their career, and they're pretty similar.
03:49Obviously, Marvin Harrison Sr. went on to become a Hall of Famer, but he comes to just the
03:5310th top five draft choice, traded within his first three seasons, joining illustrious
03:59names like Trey Lance and Trent Richardson.
04:03Is this a good thing for him?
04:04Can he turn his career around in Texas?
04:06Well, you're going to be a throw-first offense, yeah.
04:10I can't believe...
04:10Is C.J. Stroud's going to be more comfortable with him?
04:12I can't believe...
04:12Are they going to turn into a throw-first offense?
04:14Yes.
04:14They got a second-round pick for him.
04:16It's a lot.
04:17I'm pretty stunned.
04:19I did not think there was going to be any kind of a market like that for him.
04:21Yeah, we were kind of carrying around like, oh, you give up a day three pick, that's all
04:24it's going to take, and boy, round two.
04:28What did you think he was going to be coming out of Ohio?
04:30Did you think he was going to be...
04:31I thought he was going to be a very good wide receiver.
04:32I thought he was going to be one of the best.
04:33Yeah.
04:35I think there's some revisionist history, too, from people.
04:37Of course there is.
04:38And of course, because there's enough people now that do the draft stuff that every player
04:43will have at least one person that thinks they're going to suck officially, and one person
04:49that thinks they're going to be amazing.
04:51So, just citing that doesn't mean anything, but now guys are acting like, uh, we had seen
04:58some flaws in his college tape.
04:59That is not what people were saying when he came out.
05:01You didn't say it two years ago.
05:02Why are you saying it now?
05:04Oh, you saw the flaws then?
05:05Okay.
05:07The NFC East, nobody got a win this week, and two teams played each other, and I think
05:13we saw two of the worst endings in recent history, worst coached endings in recent NFL history.
05:19Obviously, you saw the Eagles blow it.
05:20They took the lead with eight seconds left.
05:22They should have kicked for a touchback.
05:23Instead, they let the Jags return it.
05:25They let the best kicker in the NFL kick a 57-yard field goal for the win.
05:28And then Jaden Daniels forgot that he had no timeouts.
05:32That, maybe it's a boneheaded play by Jaden Daniels, but for both of those, poor coaching.
05:36What is it with Eagles quarterbacks not knowing about time and rules?
05:40It wasn't there.
05:41Well, Donovan McNabb didn't know that you could have overtime back in the day.
05:45That was a little bit before my time.
05:46I actually don't really remember.
05:47And back then, Andy Reid was skewered all the time about management.
05:53That's right.
05:54That was a huge thing.
05:55Then he got Patrick Mahomes, and now he's the best coach ever.
05:58What are you trying to say?
05:59Funny how that works out.
06:00It's good to have the best quarterbacks.
06:02John Wood noise, you said.
06:04What makes you so great?
06:05Have the best players?
06:06Yeah.
06:06Oh, okay.
06:07That was a long way.
06:08Who do you think gets fired first, Nick Sirianni or Dan Quinn?
06:11Because the Eagles...
06:12Dan Quinn.
06:13The way the Eagles work with their coaching firings is, like, Chip Kelly won 10 games
06:16the first two seasons, went 7-9.
06:18He's canned.
06:19Doug Peterson made the playoffs every year, but his first year missed the playoffs,
06:23has a bad year in 2020.
06:24He gets canned.
06:25Nick Sirianni...
06:26But I thought he got canned at the end of the year.
06:27He got canned at the end of the year.
06:33He got in Nate Sudd for the whole thing.
06:35But then, Nick Sirianni's made the playoffs every season of his career,
06:38but it seems like every single time the Eagles have poor offensive play calling,
06:43it's always the coordinator's fault.
06:45There has been a constant thing in Philadelphia where it's like,
06:48what does Nick Sirianni actually do?
06:50Because he's not an X's and O's guy.
06:52He's not going to go be an O.C. somewhere after he gets fired.
06:54What does he do?
06:55What's the point of even if he didn't do anything?
06:57Well, again, this turned into the Eagles Minute with John.
07:02You asked the question, Dan Quinn is the one who gets fired before him.
07:05Because you can't wear a hat backwards and mess up the clock that bad.
07:09I kind of...
07:09If you're going to wear...
07:10You can't wear a hat backwards as the head coach of a football team
07:13when you're not winning games.
07:16Like, okay, how many in this room played youth football?
07:19Three out of the four?
07:20Two out of the four?
07:21You didn't play youth football?
07:22I did not play football.
07:22Okay, so half of us played youth football.
07:23We had a team, the Bengals, and what sucked is that they were better
07:28than everybody in the league.
07:29They beat everybody.
07:30And this was back in the 90s when the Bengals were actually bad.
07:34And you knew things were getting off.
07:36You knew the wheels were shaky when their coaches would turn their hats backwards.
07:40You're like, well, that's...
07:41Forget it.
07:42But if you took him to the fourth quarter in a tie game,
07:45hats were front ways.
07:46You can't wear a hat backwards and lose games.
07:48He's getting fired.
07:49If I was doing radio in D.C., I would have come on Monday and said,
07:53it's time.
07:53Let's go.
07:54Let's make a move.
07:56You would have.
07:58Is it time for the Cam Ward era in Tennessee to end?
08:02He is 3-19 as a starter.
08:04He also only has 14 rush attempts through five games.
08:07He's supposed to be in a scapegoat quarterback.
08:09I just feel bad.
08:10It's just...
08:11He's seeing ghosts.
08:13I think he's terrified back there.
08:16I mean, how many...
08:17He had 36 attempts the other day.
08:20Right?
08:21How many yards did he throw for?
08:22Like 170.
08:25This is...
08:25It's bad.
08:26Yeah, man.
08:27What a waste of an unretired number by Warren Moon.
08:30Let me throw this out there for you.
08:31How about you want to do a switcheroo here on this?
08:33Go ahead.
08:34I'm sorry, John.
08:34I'm going to take over for just a second.
08:38You're not getting Deshaun Watson back after this year, right?
08:41You know where I'm going.
08:42You guys want to kick the tires on a Cam Ward?
08:44What do you think, Shador Sanders?
08:46Were you performing better in Tennessee?
08:47I'm...
08:47Oh, hold on.
08:48Sean, I'm just pointing out Todd Munkin was able to get Deshaun Watson's career out of
08:52the fire.
08:55Anybody on Cam Ward?
08:57It's early, but somebody has to ask the question.
08:59I'll be the bad guy and I'll ask the question.
09:01Well, look, I have talked about every other quarterback under the sun.
09:06We had a Joe Milton a couple days on this station.
09:09We certainly had Anthony Richardson days.
09:13So you were willing to entertain Anthony Richardson, Joe Milton, Malik Willis, but you don't want
09:17to entertain Cam Ward?
09:19I'm like more down on him than anybody.
09:22I don't know.
09:22I think a guy like that with a change of scenery, I don't think he could be in the top
09:28five quarterbacks,
09:29but I think he could be a hell of a lot more effective and better than what he is right
09:33now.
09:36What are the Steelers?
09:38What in the name of God of the Steelers?
09:39Aaron Rodgers had a great game.
09:41He had a great game.
09:42Jalen Warren has almost 200 scrimmage yards.
09:46What are the Steelers?
09:48Because they beat the Colts.
09:49They look like ass against the Browns.
09:51I'm just like, I don't know what to make of this team, but at the same time, I know
09:55exactly what to make of this team.
09:57They're the same team they've been for the last 10 years.
09:59There you go.
10:00That's who the Steelers are.
10:02For the love of everything holy in the Trinity, that's what the Steelers are.
10:07Nine and eight.
10:08Maybe eight and nine this year.
10:09That's who they are.
10:11That's what you got, buddy.
10:12You know, I was amazing.
10:16I saw the first two games of Aaron Rodgers.
10:18Thought he was so dreadful.
10:19I was like, he does not belong in the league.
10:21And he has looked a lot better.
10:22Yeah, he has.
10:23He's definitely turned around.
10:24How long can this last, though?
10:26That is the question.
10:27A few weeks, and then we'll ask whether or not that grand old man could be in the league
10:30still.
10:31It's an up and down enterprise with him.
10:34How many more hints does he have left in him?
10:36See you next time.
10:36Sure.
10:36Bye.
