Transcript
00:13In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
00:18The Lord be with you.
00:20Dear friends, as we gather now for the celebration of the Mass, let us place in the hands of God
00:25our needs and our prayers.
00:26Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
00:34You were sent to heal the contrite of heart. Lord, have mercy.
00:39You came to call sinners. Christ, have mercy.
00:43You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. Lord, have mercy.
00:49May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
00:56Let us pray.
00:59May your grace, O Lord, we pray, at all times go before us and follow after,
01:05and make us always determined to carry out good works.
01:09Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you,
01:13in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:21A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.
01:25If you are led by the Spirit, no law can touch you.
01:28When self-indulgence is at work, the results are obvious.
01:34Fornication, gross indecency, and sexual irresponsibility,
01:39idolatry and sorcery, feuds and wrangling,
01:43jealousy, bad temper, and quarrels,
01:47disagreements, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and similar things.
01:52I warn you now, as I warned you before.
01:57Those who behave like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
02:03What the Spirit brings is very different.
02:07Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
02:20There can be no law against things like that, of course.
02:24You cannot belong to Christ Jesus unless you crucify all self-indulgent passions and desires.
02:33Since the Spirit is our life, let us be directed by the Spirit.
02:40The Word of the Lord
02:47Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
02:51Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
02:56Happy indeed is the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked,
03:00nor lingers in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of scorners,
03:06but whose delight is the law of the Lord, and who ponders his law day and night.
03:13Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
03:17He is like a tree that is planted beside the flowing waters,
03:22that yields its fruit in due season,
03:25and whose leaves shall never fade, and all that he does shall prosper.
03:30Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
03:34Not so are the wicked, not so,
03:37for they are like winnowed chaff,
03:40for they, like winnowed chaff, shall be driven away by the wind.
03:45For the Lord guards the way of the just,
03:48but the way of the wicked leads to doom.
03:51Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
03:57Alleluia! Alleluia!
03:59My sheep listen to my voice, says the Lord.
04:02I know them, and they follow me.
04:05Alleluia!
04:09The Lord be with you.
04:11A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
04:18The Lord said to the Pharisees,
04:21Alas for you, Pharisees,
04:23you who pay your tithe of mint and rue and all sorts of garden herbs,
04:28and overlook justice and the love of God.
04:33These you should have practiced without leaving the others undone.
04:38Alas for you, Pharisees,
04:40who like taking the seats of honor in the synagogues
04:44and being greeted obsequiously in the market squares.
04:49Alas for you,
04:50because you are like the unmarked tombs that men walk on without knowing it.
04:56A lawyer then spoke up.
04:59Master, he said,
05:01when you speak like this,
05:04you insult us too.
05:07Alas for you, lawyers also,
05:09he replied,
05:11because you load on men burdens that are unendurable,
05:16burdens that you yourselves do not move a finger to lift.
05:21The Gospel of the Lord.
05:38Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
05:41for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you,
05:44food of the earth and work of human hands.
05:47It will become for us the bread of life.
06:03Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:06for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you,
06:09food of the vine and work of human hands.
06:11It will become for us our spiritual dream.
06:40Pray brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
06:45the Almighty Father.
06:47May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and the glory of his name,
06:52for our good and the good of all his holy church.
06:56Accept, O Lord, the prayers of your faithful with the sacrificial offerings,
07:00that through these acts of devotedness,
07:03we may pass over to the glory of heaven,
07:06through Christ our Lord.
07:09The Lord be with you and with your spirit.
07:12Lift up your hearts.
07:13We lift them up to the Lord.
07:15Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:17It is right and just.
07:19It is truly right and just.
07:21Our duty and our salvation,
07:23always and everywhere,
07:24to give you thanks.
07:26Lord, Holy Father,
07:27Almighty and Eternal God,
07:29for just as through your beloved Son
07:32you created the human race,
07:33so also through him with great goodness
07:36you formed it anew.
07:38And so it is right that all your creatures serve you,
07:42all the redeemed praise you,
07:44and all your saints with one heart bless you.
07:47Therefore we too extol you with all the angels,
07:50as in joyful celebration we acclaim,
07:54Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
07:56God of hosts,
07:58heaven and earth are full of your glory,
08:01Hosanna in the highest.
08:03Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:07Hosanna in the highest.
08:12You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:14the fount of all holiness.
08:16Make holy therefore these gifts we pray
08:18by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
08:22so that they may become for us
08:24the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:28At the time he was betrayed
08:30and entered willingly into his passion,
08:33he took bread,
08:34and giving thanks broke it,
08:36and gave it to his disciples,
08:38saying,
08:39Take this, all of you,
08:42and eat of it,
08:43for this is my body,
08:46which will be given up for you.
09:13In a similar way,
09:15when supper was ended,
09:16he took the chalice.
09:19And once more giving thanks,
09:21he gave it to his disciples,
09:22saying,
09:23Take this, all of you,
09:25and drink from it,
09:26for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:29the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:32which will be poured out for you and for many
09:35for the forgiveness of sins.
09:37Do this in memory of me.
10:04The mystery of faith.
10:06Save us, Savior of the world,
10:09for by your cross and resurrection,
10:12you have set us free.
10:14Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
10:16of his death and resurrection,
10:18we offer you, Lord,
10:19the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:23giving thanks that you have held us worthy
10:25to be in your presence
10:26and minister to you.
10:28Humbly we pray,
10:30that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:33you may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:37Remember, Lord,
10:38your church spread throughout the world
10:40and bring her to the fullness of charity,
10:42together with Leo, our Pope,
10:44and Charles, our Bishop,
10:46and all the clergy.
10:47Remember your servant, Jeff,
10:49whom you have called from this world to yourself.
10:52Grant that he who was united with your son
10:55in a death like his
10:56may also be one with him in his resurrection.
11:01Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:03who have fallen asleep
11:04in the hope of the resurrection
11:05and all who have died in your mercy.
11:09Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:12Have mercy on us all.
11:14We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
11:16mother of God,
11:17with blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:19with the blessed apostles,
11:21and all the saints
11:22who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:24we may marry to be co-heirs to eternal life
11:27and may praise and glorify you
11:29through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:33Through him and with him and in him,
11:36O God, almighty Father,
11:38in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:40all glory and honor is yours
11:43forever and ever.
11:46Amen.
11:51At the Savior's command and form
11:53by divine teaching,
11:54we dare to say,
11:56Our Father, who art in heaven,
11:59hallowed be thy name.
12:01Thy kingdom come,
12:03thy will be done on earth
12:05as it is in heaven.
12:07Give us this day our daily bread
12:10and forgive us our trespasses
12:12as we forgive those
12:14who trespass against us
12:16and lead us not into temptation,
12:19but deliver us from evil.
12:22Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
12:23from every evil,
12:25graciously grant peace in our days
12:27that by the help of your mercy,
12:29we may be always free from sin
12:31and safe from all distress
12:33as we await the blessed hope
12:35and the coming of our Savior,
12:37Jesus Christ.
12:42Lord Jesus Christ,
12:43who said to your apostles,
12:44Peace I leave you,
12:45my peace I give you,
12:47look not on our sins,
12:48but on the faith of your church,
12:50and graciously grant her peace
12:52and unity in accordance
12:53with your will,
12:54who live and reign forever and ever.
12:57Amen.
12:58The peace of the Lord
12:59be with you always.
13:02Let us offer each other
13:03the sign of peace.
13:04Peace be with you.
13:18Lamb of God,
13:20you take away the sins of the world,
13:22have mercy on us.

14:05Behold the Lamb of God,
14:07behold him who takes away
14:09the sins of the world.
14:10Blessed are those called
14:12to the supper of the Lamb.
14:14Lord,
14:15I am not worthy
14:16that you should enter under my roof,
14:18but only say the word
14:20and my soul shall be healed.
14:23My Jesus,
14:25I believe that you are present
14:26in the most blessed sacrament.
14:28I love you above all things,
14:30and I desire to receive you
14:32into my soul.
14:33Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:36come at least spiritually into my heart.
14:39I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:42and unite myself wholly to you.
14:44Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:48Amen.
14:49Let us pray.
14:52We entreat your majesty most humbly, O Lord,
14:57that as you feed us with the nourishment
14:59which comes from the most holy body and blood of your Son,
15:03so you may make us sharers of his divine nature,
15:07who lives and reigns forever and ever.
15:11Amen.
15:12So, dear friends,

15:28and that he may be restored to full health.
