I never thought about “what if” for Elijah and Camile but while editing this scene, same thought pinged to my mind… so I know you guys won’t like but STILL “What if Elijah and Cami”😂😂

Scene’s Details:
This scene depicts a quiet, tense moment at the Mikaelson safe house while Hope is kept hidden away.

The Incident: Camille O’Connell is holding baby Hope when the infant accidentally pulls down a tablecloth, causing a knick-knack to fall and leave a small scratch on her forehead.

Elijah’s Reaction: As Hope cries from the shock, the commotion triggers a severe PTSD flashback for Elijah Mikaelson, causing his mind to slip back into traumatic memories (symbolized by flashes of a red door).

The Conversation: Camille notices Elijah drifting away and gently snaps him back to reality. She points out that while pulling himself back is an improvement, dwelling on his trauma or analyzing it through detailed therapy might not be as effective as keeping his mind mentally busy. She hands him a list of household repairs to focus on, telling him she will spend the day looking after Hope while he stays occupied fixing up the drafty safe house.

Characters:
Elijah Mikaelson (played by Daniel Gillies)
Camille O’Connell (played by Leah Pipes)
Hope Mikaelson
Episode: “The Devil is Damned” (Season 1, Episode 20)
Series: The Originals

Credits: Screencaps, characters, and dialogue belong to The CW, Warner Bros. Television, Julie Plec, and the creators of The Originals. Edited by @elndiz_
