00:00How do you feel about that approach considering this team that you root for just won a championship
00:04and that the front office is going to be making these decisions based on not going over the second apron
00:11that could affect or impact their chances to repeat this year
00:15or just long-term prospects of keeping this window open when they can't compete?
00:18As many smart people have explained, you can go over the second apron and it not necessarily hurt you.
00:26And I think the Knicks are in that unique position right now.
00:28They're not over it this year and they don't have to be even over it next year.
00:32And then once they go over it, then they can stay over it for a year or two and then
00:35dip back under
00:36and all of a sudden, boom, you have your six-year window, which is all you can expect in the
00:40league today.
00:41So I don't agree with Dolan's stance, both the stance in and of itself and his reasons for it.
00:46Look, it's not my money.
00:47I'm with J-Mac. I think part of Dolan's calculus is his revenge against the league
00:53and the revenue-sharing concept. He's never been a fan of it.
00:58But I also think that he does understand some of the implications of the second apron,
01:04going over it, some of the operational concerns.
01:07Now it's Leon's job to present him a formidable plan in which, you know,
01:12do they go over it for a little bit and then try to get back out?
01:15How do they do that?
01:16But I think that also weighs in on how much they're willing to give Kat, Josh Hart, in the long
01:23term.
01:23Oh, yeah.
