Alfa Romeo is using the Paris Motor Show as an occasion to celebrate a milestone anniversary for one of the most significant models in the brand’s history: the Alfa Romeo Spider turns 60. Its mechanical components were largely derived from the Giulia sedan, while its iconic body design was created by the studio Pininfarina. Unveiled in 1966, the roadster—widely known as the "Duetto"—is regarded today as the quintessential embodiment of the Italian open-top driving experience.
The vehicle on display in Paris comes from the collection of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese. The "Duetto" is joined by representatives from the three subsequent generations of the Alfa Romeo Spider, which remained in production until 1989. The exhibit also includes cars from private collectors, with the display effectively bridging the brand’s history and its dedicated community of fans.
