00:04The First Epistle of St. John, Chapter 1, Verses 8 and 9
00:12If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
00:19But if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
00:25and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
00:31Dearly beloved brethren, the scripture moves us in sundry places
00:36to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness.
00:43But that we should not disassemble nor clave them before the face of Almighty God our Heavenly Father.
00:51But confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart
00:57to the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same by His infinite goodness and mercy.
01:07And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God,
01:13yet ought we chiefly so to do, when we assemble and meet together,
01:18to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at His hands,
01:23to set forth His most worthy praise, to hear His most holy word,
01:31and to ask those things which are requisite and necessary, as well for the body as the soul.
01:39Wherefore I pray and beseech you, as many as are here present,
01:43to accompany me with a pure heart and humble voice to the throne of the heavenly grace,
01:52saying after me,
01:55Almighty and most merciful Father,
01:59we have erred and strayed from Thy ways like lost sheep.
02:04We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:11We have offended against Thy holy laws.
02:16We have left undone those things which we ought to have done,
02:21and we have done those things we ought not to have done,
02:25and there is no help in us.
02:29But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable adventists.
02:35Spare Thou them, O God, who confess their faults,
02:39or restore Thou those who are penitent,
02:42according to Thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:50And grant, O most merciful Father, for His sake,
02:54that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life,
02:59to the glory of Thy holy name.
03:03Amen.
03:06Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
03:10who desireth not the death of a sinner,
03:13but rather that He turn from His wickedness and live,
03:18and has given power and commandment to His ministers
03:21to declare and pronounce to His people,
03:25being penitent,
03:27the absolution and remission of their sins.
03:32He pardoneth and absolve it all
03:35who truly repent and unfaimly believe His holy gospel.
03:43Wherefore, let us beseech Him to grant us true repentance
03:46and His holy spirit,
03:49that those things may please Him
03:51which we do at this present,
03:54and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy,
03:58so that at the last we may come to His eternal joy,
04:03through Jesus Christ our Lord.
04:08Amen.
04:12Our Father,
04:13which art in heaven,
04:15hallowed be Thy name.
04:16Thy kingdom come.
04:18Thy will be done
04:20as it is in heaven.
04:22Give us this day our daily bread
04:25and forgive us our trespasses
04:27as we forgive them that trespass against us.
04:31and lead us not into temptation,
04:34but deliver us from evil,
04:36for Thine is the kingdom,
04:38the power and the glory
04:40for ever and ever.
04:42Amen.
04:46O Lord,
04:48open our lips
04:49and our mouth shall show forth Thy praise.
04:55O God,
04:56make speed to save us.
04:59O Lord,
05:00make haste to help us.
05:05Glory be to the Father,
05:06and to the Son,
05:07and to the Holy Ghost,
05:09as it was in the beginning,
05:12is now and ever shall be,
05:14world without end.
05:17Amen.
05:20Praise ye the Lord.
05:22The Lord's name be praised.
05:28O come,
05:29let us sing unto the Lord,
05:31and let us heartily rejoice
05:32in the strength of our salvation.
05:36Let us come before His presence
05:38with thanksgiving,
05:40and show ourselves glad in Him
05:42with psalms.
05:44For the Lord is a great God,
05:46and a great King above all gods.
05:50In His hand are all the corners of the earth,
05:53and the strength of the hills
05:54is His also.
05:57The sea is His,
05:58and He made it,
05:59and His hands prepared the dry land.
06:03O come,
06:04let us worship and hold home,
06:06and kneel before the Lord,
06:09our Maker.
06:10For He is the Lord our God,
06:13and we are the people of His pasture,
06:15and the sheep of His hand.
06:19Today,
06:20if you will hear His voice,
06:22harden not your hearts,
06:24as in the provocation,
06:25and as in the day of temptation,
06:28in the wilderness.
06:30When our fathers tempted us,
06:33proved us,
06:34and saw our works.
06:37Forty years long,
06:38I was grieved with this generation,
06:40and said,
06:41It is a people
06:41that do err in their hearts,
06:44and they have not known my ways.
06:48Unto whom I swore in my wrath,
06:50that they should not enter into my rest.
06:55Glory be to the Father,
06:57and to the Son,
06:58and to the Holy Ghost,
06:59as it was in the beginning,
07:01is now and ever shall be,
07:04world without end.
07:06Amen.
07:15Psalm 119
07:18Teach me, O Lord,
07:20the way of thy statutes,
07:21and I shall keep it unto the end.
07:25Give me understanding,
07:26and I shall keep thy law.
07:29Yea,
07:29I shall keep it with my whole heart.
07:32Make me to go in the path of thy commandments,
07:36for therein is my desire.
07:39Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,
07:42and not to covetousness.
07:45O turn away mine eyes,
07:48lest they behold vanity,
07:50and quicken thou me in thy way.
07:54Establish thy word in thy servant,
07:56that I may fear thee.
07:59Take away the rebuke that I am afraid of,
08:03for thy judgments are good.
08:06Behold,
08:07my delight is in thy commandments,
08:10O quicken me in thy righteousness.
08:13Let thy loving mercy come also unto me,
08:16O Lord,
08:17even thy salvation according unto thy word.
08:22So shall I make answer unto my blasphemers,
08:26for my trust is in thy word.
08:31O take not the word of thy truth utterly out of my mouth,
08:35for my hope is in thy judgments.
08:38So shall I always keep thy law,
08:41yea,
08:42for ever and ever.
08:43And I will walk at liberty,
08:45for I seek thy commandments.
08:49I will speak of thy testimonies also,
08:52even before kings,
08:53and will not be ashamed.
08:56My delight shall be in thy commandments,
08:58which I have loved.
09:01My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments,
09:05which I have loved.
09:06And my study shall be in thy statutes.
09:11O think upon thy servant as concerning thy word,
09:15wherein thou hast caused me to put my trust.
09:19The same is my comfort in my trouble,
09:22for thy word hath quickened me.
09:25The proud hath made me exceedingly in derision,
09:28yet I have not shrinked from thy law.
09:32For I remembered thine everlasting judgments,
09:35O Lord,
09:36and received comfort.
09:38I am horribly afraid,
09:40for the ungodly that forsake thy law.
09:44Thy statutes have been my songs,
09:46in the house of my pilgrimage.
09:48I have thought upon thy name, O Lord,
09:51in the night season,
09:52and have kept thy law.
09:55This I had, because I kept thy commandments.
09:59Thou art my portion, O Lord,
10:02I have promised to keep thy law.
10:04I made my humble petition in thy presence with my whole heart.
10:09O be merciful unto me according to thy word.
10:14I called my own ways to remembrance,
10:17and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
10:20I made haste, and prolonged not the time,
10:23to keep thy commandments.
10:26The congregations of the ungodly have robbed me,
10:30but I have not forgotten thy law.
10:33At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee,
10:36because of thy righteous judgments.
10:40I am a companion of all them that fear thee,
10:43and keep thy commandments.
10:47The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy.
10:50O teach me thy statutes.
10:54O Lord, thou hast dealt graciously with thy servant,
10:57according unto thy word.
11:00O learn me true understanding and knowledge,
11:03for I have believed thy commandments.
11:07Before I was troubled, I went wrong,
11:10but now I have kept thy word.
11:13Thou art good and gracious,
11:15O teach me thy statutes.
11:18The proud have imagined their lie against me,
11:21but I will keep thy commandments with my whole heart.
11:26Their heart is as fat as brawn,
11:29but my delight have been in thy law.
11:33It is good for me that I have been in trouble,
11:36that I may learn your statutes.
11:40The law of thy mouth is dearer unto me
11:43than thousands of gold and silver.
11:47Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
11:50and to the Holy Ghost,
11:52as it was in the beginning,
11:54is now and ever shall be,
11:56world without end.
11:58Amen.
12:04The prophet Zechariah, chapter 14.
12:08Behold, the day of Yahweh comes,
12:10when your plunder will be divided within you.
12:14For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle,
12:18and the city will be taken,
12:20the houses rifled,
12:22and the women ravished.
12:24Half of the city will go out into captivity,
12:27the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
12:31Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations,
12:35as he fought in the day of battle.
12:38His feet will stand that day on the Mount of Olives,
12:41which is between Jerusalem and the east.
12:45And the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west,
12:49making a very great valley.
12:53Half of the mountain will move north,
12:55and half will move south.
12:58You will flee by the valley of my mountains,
13:01for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel.
13:06Yes, you will flee,
13:07just like you fled from before me,
13:11after the earthquake,
13:12in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah.
13:16Yahweh, my God, will come,
13:18and the Holy Ones with you.
13:20It will happen in that day,
13:23that there will not be light, cold, or frost.
13:27It will be a unique day,
13:29which is known to Yahweh,
13:31not day and not night,
13:33but it will come to pass.
13:35At evening time, there will be light.
13:39It will happen in that day,
13:41that living waters will go out from Jerusalem.
13:45Half of them toward the east,
13:47and half toward the west.
13:48In summer and winter, it will be.
13:52Yahweh will be king over all the earth.
13:55In that day, Yahweh will be one,
13:58and his name one.
13:59All the land will be made like the Arabah,
14:02from Jeba to Rimon, south of Jerusalem.
14:05And she will be lifted up,
14:07and dwell in her place,
14:09from Benjamin's gate,
14:10to the place of the first gate,
14:13to the corner gate,
14:14and from the tower of Hananel,
14:16to the king's winepresses.
14:18Men will dwell therein,
14:20and there will be no more curse,
14:22but Jerusalem will dwell safely.
14:25This will be the plague,
14:27with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples,
14:30who have fought against Jerusalem.
14:32Their flesh will consume away,
14:35while they stand on their feet,
14:36and their eyes will consume away in their sockets,
14:39and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.
14:43It will happen in that day,
14:45that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them,
14:49and they will lay hold everyone,
14:51on the hand of his neighbor,
14:53and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14:57Judah also will fight at Jerusalem,
15:00and the wealth of all the surrounding nations,
15:03will be gathered together,
15:05gold,
15:06silver,
15:06and clothing in great abundance.
15:10So will be the plague of the horse,
15:12the mule,
15:13the camel,
15:14and the donkey,
15:14and of all the animals that will be in the camps,
15:18as that plague.
15:20It will happen that everyone who is left,
15:22of all the nations that came against Jerusalem,
15:25will go up from year to year,
15:27to worship the king,
15:29Yahweh of Amis,
15:31and to keep the feast of tents.
15:34It will be,
15:36that whoever of all the families of the earth,
15:38doesn't go to Jerusalem to worship the king,
15:41Yahweh of Amis,
15:43on them there will be no rain.
15:46If the family of Egypt does not go,
15:49neither will it rain on them.
15:51This will be the plague,
15:53with which Yahweh will strike the nations,
15:55that don't keep the feast of tents.
15:58This will be the punishment of Egypt,
16:01and the punishment of all the nations,
16:03that do not keep the feast of tents.
16:07In that day there will be the bell on a horse,
16:09holy to Yahweh,
16:11and the pots in Yahweh's house,
16:13will be like bowls before the altar.
16:16Yes, every pot in Jerusalem,
16:18and all of Judah,
16:20will be holy to Yahweh of Amis,
16:22and those who sacrifice,
16:24will come and take of them,
16:25and cook in them.
16:27In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite,
16:30in the house of Yahweh of Amis.
16:34This is the word of the Lord.
16:36Thanks be to God.
17:01Thanks be to God.
17:07Amen.
17:22Amen.
17:23praise thee, the noble army of martyrs, praise thee, the Holy Church throughout all the world
17:31does acknowledge thee, the Father of an infinite majesty, thine honourable true and only Son,
17:41also the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, thou art the King of glory, O Christ, thou art the
17:48everlasting Son of the Father. When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man, thou didst not
17:56a bell, the virgin's womb. When thou hast overcome the sharpness of death, thou didst open the
18:04kingdom of heaven to all believers. Thou sittest at the right hand of God in the glory of the
18:12Father. We believe that thou shalt come to be our judge. We therefore pray thee, help thy
18:21servants, whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious blood. Make them to be numbered with thy
18:28sights in glory everlasting. O Lord, save thy people and bless thine heritage. Govern them
18:38and lift them up for ever. Day by day we magnify thee, and we worship thy name, ever world without
18:47end. Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin. Lord, have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us.
18:59Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us, as our trust is in thee. O Lord, in thee have I trusted.
19:07Let me
19:08never be confounded. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was
19:16in the
19:17beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
19:28The first epistle to Saint Timothy, chapter 1 and chapter 2.
19:35This order I give to you, Timothy, my son, in harmony with the words of the prophets
19:40obeyed you, so that by them you may be strong fighting the good fight, keeping faith, and being
19:47conscious of well-doing. For some, by not doing these things, have gone wrong in relation to the
19:55faith, such a Hymenaeus and Alexander, who I have given up to Satan, so that they may say no more
20:03evil words against God. My desire is, first of all, that you will make requests and prayers and give
20:10praise for all men, for kings and all those in authority, so that we may have a calm and quiet
20:17life
20:18in all fear of God and serious behaviour. This is a good and pleasing thing in the eyes of God
20:25our Saviour,
20:26whose desire is that all men may have salvation and come to the knowledge of what is true. For there
20:35is
20:35one God and one peacemaker between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as an offering for
20:43all, witness of which was to be given at the right time. Of this I became a preacher and an
20:52apostle,
20:52what I say is true, not false, and a teacher of the Gentiles of the true faith. It is my
20:59desire then
21:00that in every place men may give themselves to prayer, lifting up holy hands without wrath or argument.
21:08Also that women may be dressed in simple clothing, with a quiet and serious air, not with twisted hair,
21:16gold and jewellery or robes of great price, but clothed with good works, as is right for women who
21:24are living in the fear of God. Let a woman quietly take the place of a learner and be under
21:31authority.
21:32In my opinion, it is right for a woman not to be a teacher or to have rule over man,
21:38but to be quiet,
21:40for Adam was formed first and then Eve. Adam was not taken by deceit, but the woman, being tricked,
21:49became a wrongdoer. If they go on in faith and love and holy self-control, she will be kept safe
21:56at the
21:57time of childbirth. This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
22:12Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
22:19and hath raised up a mighty salvation for us in the house of his servant David.
22:26As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began, that we
22:33should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all that hate us, to perform the mercy promised
22:41to
22:41our forefathers and to remember his holy covenant, to perform the oath which he sware to our forefather
22:49Abraham, that he would give us, that would be delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve
22:57him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life. And thou, child,
23:06shall be called the prophet of the highest, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare
23:13his ways,
23:14to give knowledge of salvation to his people for the remission of their sins, through the tender
23:21mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that
23:30sit in
23:30darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
23:38Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning,
23:44is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
23:55I believe in God the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son,
24:04our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered unto Pontius Pilate,
24:12who crucified dead and buried. He descended into hell the third day he rose again from the dead.
24:21He ascended into heaven, and seated on the right hand of God the Father almighty.
24:28From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
24:33I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
24:41the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
24:50The Lord be with you, and with thy spirit.
25:11Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
25:16Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
25:23Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
25:32And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
25:41O Lord, show thy mercy upon us, and grant us thy salvation.
25:47O Lord, save the King, and mercifully hear us when we call upon thee.
25:56Endue thy ministers with righteousness, and make thy chosen people joyful.
26:05O Lord, save thy people, and bless thine inheritance.
26:13Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fighteth for us, but only thou, O
26:21God.
26:23O God, make clean our hearts within us, and take not thy Holy Spirit from us.
26:36The Collect for the 21st Sunday of the Trinity.
26:42Grant, we beseech thee, merciful Lord, to thy faithful people pardon and peace,
26:49that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve thee with a quiet mind.
27:04O God, who art the author of peace, and lover of concord, in the knowledge of whom standeth our eternal
27:12life,
27:12who service is perfect freedom, defend us, thy humble servants, in all assaults of our enemies,
27:21that we, surely trusting in thy defence, may not fear the power of any adversaries.
27:28Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
27:36O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God,
27:41who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day, defend us in the same with thy mighty power,
27:48and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger,
27:55but that all our doings may be ordered according to thy governance, to do always that which is righteous in
28:04your sight.
28:05Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
28:11O Lord, our heavenly Father, the high and mighty King of kings, Lord of lords and ruler of princes,
28:19who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth.
28:25Most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our most gracious sovereign King, King Charles,
28:32and so replenish him with the grace of thy Holy Spirit,
28:36that he may always incline to thy will and walk in thy way.
28:41In due him plenteously with heavenly gifts,
28:46grant him in health and wealth long to live.
28:51Strengthen him that he may vanquish and overcome all his enemies,
28:56and finally, after this life, he may attain everlasting joy and felicity.
29:03Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
29:10Almighty God, the fountain of all goodness,
29:13we humbly beseech thee to bless William, Prince of Wales, and all the royal family.
29:19Endue them with thy Holy Spirit, enrich them with the heavenly grace,
29:24prosper them with all happiness, and bring them to thine everlasting kingdom.
29:31Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
29:37Almighty and everlasting God, who alone workest great marvels,
29:42send down upon our bishops and curates, and all congregations committed to their charge,
29:49the helpful Spirit of thy grace, that they may truly please thee,
29:55pour upon them the continual due of thy blessing.
30:00Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate and Mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.
30:09Almighty God, who has given us grace at this time with one accord,
30:13to make our common supplications unto thee,
30:17and us promise that when two or three are gathered together in thy name,
30:22thou wilt grant their requests.
30:25Fulfill now, O Lord, the desires and partitions of thy servants,
