00:00Hey, Shabbat Shalom, brothers and sisters. Welcome back. I thank you again for joining
00:04me today. Please excuse me. I'm trying not to laugh about this. But anyways, I want to
00:15do a book review, and this is a good book by Dr. Sam, of course, the late great Dr. Sam.
00:22Uh, this book was, uh, it's a little book, but it's, it's a book that should give everybody
00:31a warning about. This book is called, um, Howl Lindsey's Prophetic Jigsaw Puzzle, Five
00:40Predictions That Failed. In here, I don't know if you've ever heard of this. I've had this
00:46book since, uh, early to mid-2000s. So, it's been, uh, like 20 years, 22 years, something
00:56like that, if I had this book. And, uh, it's a simple book. It's by, uh, Biblical, it's
01:05Biblical Perspectives, of course. And here, here's Dr. Sam right there. The late great
01:14Dr. Sam, uh, about the book. Let's see if I can read this. Howl Lindsey's, uh, book on
01:26end-time prophecies are selling by the millions at a breathless rate, usually associated with,
01:34uh, hamburgers. His jigsaw puzzle approach turns Biblical prophecies into a crystal ball
01:42to which he predicts what, uh, with, uh, astonishing boldness the precise pattern of events
01:51which are to occur by the end of 1980s. We're far beyond that, anyways. The time when the
02:00present history of the world is supposed to end. Uh, you know, I should find the, find some
02:10other, hold on, find some other glasses here. These are the mega glasses. All right. It says
02:21here, Dr. Sam analyzes Lindsey's prophetic jigsaw puzzle, exposing the fallacy of five specific
02:29predictions which failed to come to pass. His purpose, however, is not to merely to show that
02:36Lindsey's predictions are fiction rather than fact. Uh, with sound scholarship, he helps the reader
02:44understand the true nature and purpose of end-time prophecies. This book has grown out of an article
02:53called, uh, uh, are we in, are we in a countdown to Armageddon which was first published in over 20
03:02English and foreign periodicals. Uh, the article won the Associated Church Press Award for the category
03:11best feature article published in religious magazines in 1986. Uh, the book is written in a clear and simple
03:21style which the common person can understand, which Dr. Sam always did that. He always tried to make it as
03:28clear as possible and make it understandable for people. Uh, rather than engaging the reader in a
03:35technical and analysis of Lindsey's arbitrary method of prophetic interpretation, uh, Dr. Sam has chosen to
03:44show with compelling clarity and logic how time has already proved Lindsey's prophetic jigsaw puzzle to
03:52be fiction, fiction rather than fact. Uh, the book has been written with the earnest desire to help
04:01Christians find meaning and hope by looking for the coming of a personal savior, Yeshua, uh, rather than for
04:12the occurrence of impersonal events, which has beautifully written and everything. And, uh, let me write,
04:21let me, let me read this about the author, by the way. Here's about the author, Dr. Sam, uh, is
04:30the first
04:30non-Catholic to graduate from the, uh, Pontifical, uh, Gregorian University in Rome. First one. Uh, he received a gold
04:42medal from Pope Paul, uh, the sixth for earning the academic distinction of, uh, summa cum laude. He, uh, earned
04:55degrees also in the USA and served as a missionary in Ethiopia. Uh, he has authored several bestsellers,
05:04which have been favorable, favorable, reviewed by many scholars. During the last few years, he has, uh,
05:12conducted, uh, conducted seminars in many parts of the world, helping thousands to better understand and
05:19experience spiritual realities. And, uh, it says here currently, uh, he's a professor of theology and
05:28church history at the Andrews University in Berean, uh, Berean, uh, Springs, Michigan. He is, uh, married to
05:36Anna. And, uh, well, it talks about, uh, three, three children. It's married to Anna, Gandon, and, uh,
05:46the three children are Loretta, Daniel, and, uh, Gia Lucia. Gia Lucia is an Italian name, but, uh,
05:54uh, um, the reason I started getting a little upset about that is, uh, I did, uh, I did a
06:01biography
06:02on him. You can check this out in biography, but, uh, you know, he passed away in 2008, but, uh,
06:10his, uh, his wife passed away. And I wrote that, I had that on, uh, the biography that I did
06:18on him. Uh,
06:19um, she passed away and it was very sad. That's why when I started seeing her name, I started choking
06:26up a little bit, but, uh, I don't want this to get away from what I'm getting at here. Uh,
06:34a lot of people, a lot of people probably don't remember Hal Lindsey. Hal Lindsey was this guy who,
06:42uh, who thought about the rapture, you know, he's a rapture guy, you know, like, hey,
06:47everybody's going to be taken away and then the tribulation is going to come and this and that.
06:52Everybody's going to heaven. Uh, he wrote several books. I had one of them. I got rid of them,
06:57but I got, I had one of them called the late great planet earth. And he's talking about
07:02in 1980s, everybody's going to be whisked away to heaven. This is going to happen. That's going to
07:07happen. Um, and this is, um, nothing happened, but he wrote several books and his bestselling books.
07:15Everybody loved it. Everybody jammed the pews and everything, not just according to him,
07:21but anybody, excuse me, anybody that was associated with that belief and what he was saying,
07:29the pews are piling up. But when, uh, was it 1988 or whatever it was, things didn't happen.
07:38And I guess he, uh, disappeared in the Bahamas with all those millions for a while and then
07:45waited a couple of years and reemerged and, you know, stuck his light, like sticking to your toe
07:50and in the water to see if it's okay. And, uh, he come back, got a show and everybody forgot
07:57about
07:58what he did, scamming, misleading and things like that. And he had a show and he kept going and start
08:06saying this and that and magazine, he had little magazines and it's like, wow, I can't believe people
08:13are so gullible to believe a guy like this or anybody. I don't say, I don't, I don't say prophecies
08:21in my channel. You can look at every video I've got. I don't, I never said in 2035, January 1st,
08:31that's the end of the world. I'll never say anything. You got to go by the signs of the times.
08:37But he thought, oh yeah, Israel's 1948, Israel's reestablished. So, oh, 40 years, a generation's
08:45coming around. So, uh, that's going to be 1988. And it didn't need to disappear to those millions.
08:52Come back a few years later after everything's all right and tried to say or do whatever, whatever he
08:58did. It worked. A lot of people, a lot of people still stuck with him. Like he was,
09:06I, I can't explain it. But, uh, that's why Dr. Sam here wrote this book. He's trying to get
09:15through to some people saying, Hey, here's, I'm going to talk to you about this jigsaw puzzle.
09:20And, uh, let's see if I could, uh, read some of the table contents to you here, just for the
09:29heck of
09:29it. Okay. Number one was spying the future. Number two, Lindsay's school of interpretation.
09:36Number three, Lindsay's prophetic jigsaw puzzle. Number four, Lindsay's perplexing puzzle.
09:45Number five, Lindsay, a hero or a bum. And that's, that's important because he was, he had, he was
09:53recorded on a video talking to a reporter that a reporter said, uh, or interviewer or whatever
10:00said, uh, if this prophecy don't happen, you know, what's going to happen or something to that effect.
10:07He's like, well, I'll be a bum. It didn't happen. And guess what? He was no bum. So he had
10:14all those
10:14millions and everything, but he just said that it will all be a bum if I'm wrong. I mean, I
10:21don't know.
10:22And okay. Number six, the nature of the advent signs, the advent, like, you know, second, oh,
10:31number seven here is, uh, the function of the advent signs. And, and what I'm doing is each of the
10:39reading, uh, uh, the chapter, uh, the subtitles here, but I encourage you to get this book. Uh,
10:48number eight, the time of the second coming, the second advent, the certainty of the advent hope,
10:57the eminence of the advent hope is number 10. And finally living the advent hope. And Dr. Sam,
11:06you know, he was, uh, he's a second adventist, which, you know, I don't agree with everything,
11:12but there's a lot. I do agree with them. And I still have respect for him because he was like,
11:17uh,
11:18he was there in my beginnings when I'm investigating. And I, uh, like I said, I was a, I was
11:25a Mormon
11:26got out of that, but instead of being an atheist and wanting to party it up and be rebellious and
11:32think
11:33I'm cool with a tattoo. I, uh, started diving into the other Christian face and everything. Uh,
11:40you know, this is one, I'm the seventh day adventist, seventh day church of God. Uh,
11:46it wasn't, it wasn't hard to rule out the mainstream, you know, Protestants movement, like, you know,
11:53Baptists and, uh, Methodists and because they don't teach none. They're lame. They don't teach
11:59nothing at all. And I figure when you go to do a church, which church means not the building
12:06churches called out ones. I want to be with called out ones and not convenient Christians,
12:12which, you know, are rich and have no problem in the world. And Christians struggle, true called out
12:20Christians struggle in life. They do. They struggle. They got problems. They struggle.
12:28People berate them for what they believe in. Somehow the forces of evil mess with them, forces of evil
12:37mess with them where they cannot, uh, get ahead in life, like get a better job or anything.
12:43The principalities and everything are after the, the called out ones, the convenient Christians,
12:52which just go to church and just chill out and hang out and don't even read the Bible. Larry led,
12:57let the salvation be worked out by, uh, by the pastor. He's work out. No, Paul says,
13:04Apostle Paul says, work out your own salvation.
13:07And, but anyways, I, I, you know, I got a lot of respect for him. Dr. Sam, I call him
13:16that. I did a
13:17lot of other, uh, I did a bio biography on him on, on, on the channel. I, uh, and some
13:24other book
13:25reviews and this one, I had to, I had to do this one. I forgot, you know, I forgot this.
13:30I got almost
13:30all of his books. I think I got all of them, but, but I just had to do that because,
13:36man,
13:37something else, this is my beginnings, my origins, my genesis into learning. And I come,
13:46come a long way since, uh, what was that? 1997. Well, 19, actually 1994 is when, uh,
13:55I got my first Bible. And that's another story in itself, because I don't think it was human
14:01beings that actually gave me that. When I grabbed that Bible, I had to start a static shock from,
14:08oh, it hurt. And then talking to them and I turned around, talked to my friend and went,
14:14when I turned around, they were gone. Just like, woof. That's another story in itself. But
14:22anyways, uh, that's all I want to say right now. And I hope you guys check out this book. I
14:27don't know,
14:27where you probably get it on, you can get it on, uh, I don't know if, uh, it's called,
14:34well, I don't know if Bible, biblical perspectives, I don't know if they're still around or anything.
14:39I don't know if that, but, uh, use online bookstore, maybe Amazon, just check around eBay,
14:46check around for the best deal possible. But if you're interested in this and, uh,
14:53there's been other, of course, there's been other predictions. There's been other predictions
14:57besides Al Lindsay. And that's what he's trying to stress. You know, Jehovah witnesses
15:03tried to say the end of the world was going to happen a couple of times. Uh,
15:09Herbert Armstrong tried to say that 1972, I think the end was going to, the end was going to end,
15:14uh, the world was going to end, uh, uh, Russia, Soviet Union nuclear attack. Uh, uh, and of course,
15:24you know, William Miller and stuff, everybody's, oh, the world's going to end, the world's going to end.
15:29We just got to have that. We just, we got, we got to have that information, which
15:35just worry about life. They gotta, you know, it's, it's more important to face life more than death.
15:43So you know what I mean? It's like crystal ball. That's what it is. But anyways, that's all I want
15:50to say. Thank you guys for joining me again. And, uh, like I said, uh, watch my other videos.
15:56I've got plenty of videos and, uh, until we meet again, brothers and sisters, peace out and shalom.
