00:00Hey, shalom brothers and sisters. Welcome back. I thank you again for joining me today.
00:05Well, today I want to talk about the subject of mercy, desiring mercy. And believe me when
00:10I tell you this, that our Father in Heaven, He has plenty of mercy for His children, His
00:15creation. And we should feel blessed for that. And we should do our best to honor Him and
00:23praise Him and all the goodies. But anyways, I want to start out with, I want to go to the
00:30book of Romans with Paul. And I want to read what he says in chapter 6 of Romans, verse
00:401 and 2. We'll start there. It's a good place to start. It says right here,
00:45What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? That's a question.
00:52And he says, Certainly not. How shall we that are dead to sin live by any longer therein?
01:00So, Paul's saying, should we sin? You know, that grace should abound? Let's just rely nothing
01:11on, all on grace. All on grace. Anyways, I'm going to go back to Romans chapter 3. See what
01:20Paul says here. Chapter 3 and verse 23, if I could find it. 23. For all that have sinned
01:29and come short of the glory of Elohim. For all have sinned. We've all sinned. You've sinned.
01:35I've sinned. Everybody's sinned one time or another, but intentionally and sometimes by accident.
01:42We don't think sometimes, but sin is sin. It's transgression of the law. But thank God,
01:49you know, we do have mercy with the Father. He wants us. He wants us to come to repentance. He
01:55wants us to be saved. He doesn't want to punish us, do the bad things to us for our deeds.
02:03And now I'm going to go skip to Romans chapter 7. I'm going to jump over to 7 and verse
02:107 right
02:10here. Paul says, what shall we say then? Is the law sin? Is the law sin? Certainly not. Nay, I
02:20had not
02:21known sin, but by the law. For I had not known lust except the law that said, thou shalt not
02:29covet.
02:31But yeah, he's like, is it a sin? Is the law sin? No. By the law, you know what sin
02:38is. Sin is a
02:40transgression of the law. Ten commandments. That's what it plain and simple says, but it says certainly
02:45not. That's how he knew. That's how he knows he did wrong. Sin tells you what's wrong. What you did
02:52was wrong and don't do that and go by the law. I'm not saying grace is not important. Grace is
03:02basically like a grace period. You know, you just repent, confess and repent. And if your heart's into
03:09it, there you go. But anyways, I'll go to jump down to 12. Still with Romans chapter 7, but
03:21this is 12. Wherefore the law is holy and the commandment holy and just and good. People think
03:29it's, you know, the commandments, the law, everything. It's bad. It's nasty. It's legalism. They say
03:38what do you be proposing? Illegalism? Illegalism? Let's just go out and sin all we want and
03:44have some fake repentance. You know, I'm so sorry. Repentance actually, repentance is more than saying
03:50you're sorry. It's actually learning from it and turning the opposite way and going back and never
03:56doing it again. That's all that is with that. I'm going to go to Romans. Okay, here's Romans
04:086. I'm going to go 6. And it says right here, I think I passed the page, verse 23. Here
04:19it
04:19is. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Elohim is eternal life through Yeshua Messiah,
04:27our Master. So the wages of sin is death. And if you look at 1 John chapter 3 verse 4,
04:34what
04:35is sin? It's a transgression of the law. That's what it is. That's what it states. Transgression
04:41of the law. Now I'm going to go see if I can jump to 1 Corinthians. Yeah, 1 Corinthians. Oops,
04:51that's 2nd. 1 Corinthians. And yeah, I'm going to go to chapter 1 here. If I don't go too far
05:00again, chapter 1 here and 20 to 21 verses 20 to 21. And it states right here, where is
05:09the wise, where is the scribe, where is the disputer of this world? Hath not Elohim made
05:17foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that, in the wisdom of Elohim, the world by wisdom
05:24knew not Elohim, it pleased Elohim by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. You
05:33know, it's like, I've seen many people that don't go to church or, you know, believe and
05:39they mock other sincere preachers. I'm not saying the fake prosperity ones. The real ones, they
05:46mock them and everything else. Oh, that's foolish. That's crazy. That's, you know. But, well, you
05:52know, it's free moral agency and they have their, they have their right to do that, I guess,
05:57their decision. But it's going to cost them in the end because that's a foolish decision
06:02on their part. Now, I want to go to, go to Matthew. Jump clear to the Gospel of Matthew.
06:13If I could find it. Yes, it's right here. Matthew chapter 9. Let's see. I'm a little too far
06:24again. Matthew chapter 9. A couple pages. And, yes, chapter 9, verse, say, 13.
06:35That's 9, verse 13. And, uh, it's about, this is about the paralyzed man healed and
06:42forgiven. And it's, uh, it says, but go ye and learn what that meaneth. I will have mercy
06:49and not sacrifice for I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners unto repentance.
06:55That's what Yeshua said. He desires mercy and we should desire mercy. He's, he's not, he
07:02wasn't, he didn't come then to call the righteous. He come to call the sinners to repent. He's
07:06trying to plead with them and help them out and everything because the Father and the Son,
07:12they, they love us and we should love them equally or even more. That's, uh, that's basically
07:19that, uh, uh, and Hosea, uh, Hosea, uh, in the Old Testament, Hosea 6 to 6 basically sums
07:25that up too. And, uh, and Micah, Micah chapter, uh, 6 verses 6 and 8 says, tells you to love
07:35mercy. Um, but anyways, we're going to go to, uh, I'm going to jump over to Mark. Let's see
07:41if I find Mark here. There we go. Mark and chapter 10, a couple more 10 and what, what verse
07:55is that? 47 to 48, 47 to 40, yeah, 47 to 48. And it states here, this is when a
08:05blind man
08:05receives a sight. And when he heard that it was Yeshua of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,
08:14Yeshua, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should not, he should
08:22hold his peace, but he cried the more a great deal, thou son of David, have mercy on me. So,
08:29and we
08:30know what happened. Yeshua had mercy on him and healed him. But that's what he's saying. Son of
08:37David, have mercy on me, have mercy on me. And of course, you know, Yeshua, he had plenty of mercy
08:43in his heart, in his mind and in his heart. Uh, let's go to, uh, let's go back to Matthew.
08:50I'm going
08:51to jump back to Matthew and that'd be chapter five. Oh, I went too far again. Uh, chapter five.
08:59Five and, uh, seven. Matthew five and chapter, or verse seven. And right here, this is the Sermon
09:08on the Mount. This is a quote from the Sermon on the Mount. Blessed are the merciful for they
09:13shall obtain mercy. That's great because, you know, if we have mercy on others, that's great.
09:20We should concentrate on helping others out, have mercy on them, understanding, compassion. And, uh,
09:26and it says here that we will, we shall obtain mercy and in return. But in my view, I'm not,
09:33I'm not, uh, doing it to just obtain mercy. I'm doing it because the Holy Spirit in me is telling
09:38me to do, do the right thing. Help somebody else out. Somebody needs help the best that I can.
09:43Uh, I mean, uh, let's go to, uh, we'll go to James, the book of James. Let's see. Let's see.
09:54James,
09:55James, almost there. Brother, the brother of, uh, Yeshua, James. And here, James in the, uh,
10:03uh, chapter two, chapter two, verses 12 and 13. And it says, so speak ye and so do as they
10:14that
10:14shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy that have showed no
10:23mercy and mercy rejoice against judgment. So here's the alternative. If you don't have no mercy
10:29on people or anything like that, don't expect mercy in return when the time comes. Uh, that's,
10:35that's unfortunate. Uh, that's so unfortunate, but that's what the scriptures states right then and
10:42there. And, uh, anyways, that's, that's all I got to say about that. I just want to share some of
10:48these scriptures with you and, uh, please, oh, please look up, uh, was it Luke? Look up, uh, Luke,
10:55uh, uh, one, uh, chapter one, verse 50, I believe it is. Mary says mercy. So just check that one
11:02out.
