00:00You compare him to Caleb Williams, you're not saying, hey, we need 25 to 35-yard scrambles for first downs.
00:08All you're saying is I need some mobility for you to get outside the pocket and extend the play.
00:15Give our tight end an opportunity.
00:16Give our receivers an opportunity to go out there and find space so then you can deliver the ball, get
00:23a first down, move the chains.
00:25When I look at a Michael Penix Jr. in a collapsing pocket and compare him to an Aaron Rodgers in
00:31a collapsing pocket, quite frankly, I don't see much of a difference.
00:34And I think Aaron Rodgers is 15 years older than Michael Penix Jr.
00:37I completely agree, and I think y'all will both agree with me on this one.
00:39And look, it is what it is.
00:41I hope that Michael Penix succeeds.
00:43I have numerous friends in that building now, and I hope everything goes according to plan.
00:48But the bottom line is this.
00:49I'm tired of talking about other quarterbacks that come to town and talking about how they're special.
00:55Like, you watch Josh Allen and he's underhanding the throw in the end zone, and you're like, well, he's just
00:59special.
01:00Michael Penix can be good.
01:02I think that I can easily see that path of Michael Penix being good.
01:06Where it gets hairy is wondering if he'll ever be great or elite, right?
01:10Right.
