00:17Frank, a battling display from your lads, how did you assess it?
00:21It was a really good display. 3-1 changes the view at the end of the game but at 2
00:27-1 we're pushing.
00:28I thought from the first moment, our work, our threat, the belief within the team, how we defended low.
00:35It takes them two outstanding, well-class goals to score their goals.
00:41Everybody in the stadium felt the game. We showed a real personality in the way we played.
00:49We were fighting for second balls, we were running to be together.
00:52We had big periods in the game where we started to get on the ball and players played with confidence
00:56and took good decisions. When I analyse it as two teams, this is a strong Tottenham team.
01:01Their league position is not real but it's not probably, I think, related to the quality of their team
01:08and their performance and they'll improve for sure.
01:10But when you think of eight of our starting players who were in the championship team last year,
01:16they've had a tough start for different reasons but they're playing now.
01:19If you didn't know, just Tottenham and Chelsea, commentary here like this,
01:23you wouldn't know to say who's the team that have been in the Premier League for the last 50 years
01:27or who's the team that's been out there for 25 years.
01:30That, for me, is a big deal from what the players produce.
01:32I'm disappointed to lose. I'm not over-praising for her.
01:35But if you know football, they'll know they had a really tough game tonight.
01:40What was the message of half-time? Just to keep going,
01:42because it was great determination to get that one back.
01:44Yeah.
01:45And you kept battling away even when they got one back.
01:47You kept battling away all the way, didn't you, until the last knockings on it?
01:52Yeah, some half-times are difficult. This one was easy. Keep going.
01:55I mean, their set-up of their team and the sort of rotations of the midfield,
02:00of Madison, Mamouche and the players, it meant there was no tactical,
02:05you follow him, you follow him, we just had to defend as a unit as we did.
02:08And when you think what we've restricted them to in terms of big chances
02:10with that quality in their team, I thought we continued that in the second half.
02:14It was just to carry on. And I felt belief today.
02:17There's been some games where I've said, believe more, lads, not in them forests.
02:20You know, we were sort of tentative in the last, but I didn't feel the same today.
02:22And for another day where Tatsun might score early in the game
02:26and things might drop for us or whatever it may be,
02:29I thought there was a real feeling in the team.
02:31And that's progression for us from the first period of the season.
02:34And that's credit to the players.
02:36And they must now keep their feet on the ground
02:38and not just take great feeling from what I believe is a good performance.
02:41They must know that every game has to have all the baseline things that it had today
02:44to try and get results.
02:46And you won't always because Madison are put in the top corner,
02:49Mamouche are put in the top corner, that's football.
02:51But I thought if you just take the performance,
02:54I was very pleased with what they showed.
02:56Andy will come back. We'll go over there next.
02:58Hi, Frank.
02:58Thanks.
03:00Have you seen the Mamouche goal again?
03:03Do you think it should sound?
03:04I did. I do. I did think that.
03:06I think if you roll and your elbows are that high
03:09and it connects with Milan in the contact, I did.
03:12I thought VAR would cancel it. I did.
03:16I think it was Chris Jones who got booked.
03:18It seemed quite a few decisions went against you tonight.
03:22There was a corner that didn't get given.
03:24There was an advantage you got that wasn't an advantage.
03:27Did you feel it was not great officiating tonight?
03:30I felt that you have to be really careful how you choose your words after this
03:35because there's no point in getting after the event to get too deep into it.
03:39But I absolutely felt that.
03:40Then the little bits add up, the corner adds up,
03:43Brandon getting fouled, trying to stay on his feet
03:45and then another little action and you don't get the advantage late into the game
03:48is a big deal for us.
03:51That's all I'll say about it.
03:53Were you also pleased with why the players coped with that?
03:55Because they didn't let it sort of boil over.
03:57Yeah, they coped really well.
04:00We'll analyse the game back.
04:01These Premier League games now, I think the way teams are playing,
04:06the physical output of these games, they're less structured at times
04:09and sometimes you have to play on principles of how we play
04:12and that's feel that we can split down there.
04:15Matt Grimes can come down and we can gain some control
04:17and make passes rival and hit it.
04:18We were playing today and we gave them lots of problems.
04:22Our transition looked dangerous a lot of times.
04:24Individuals in our team are growing to feel like maybe they can compete
04:29at this level, in this stadium.
04:31Eight players in the Championship, not many that have played in the Premier League.
04:35I'm proud of their performance in the game.
04:37We lost 3-1 but you will lose games in this league
04:39when people like Maddison put it in the top corner.
04:42The first 15 minutes we were really aware that Tottenham start fast here.
04:46They started fast at Manchester United last week.
04:49In the first 15 minutes we had three or four moments and Tatsu's chance
04:53and then Maddison does that, that's football.
04:55But in terms of the approach, you can't stop some things like that.
04:59The boys, I thought, did pretty much everything they could tonight.
05:03Frank, there was no Jan, Loom or Lattie.
05:07Is that just a selection issue tonight?
05:10Yeah.
05:13All done?
05:14Cheers guys, thank you.
05:15Thanks.
05:16How are you?
05:17You all right?
05:17Good to see you, mate.
05:18Yeah.
05:19Yeah, yeah.
05:20Nah.
05:23Careful on you, I don't want to.
05:25See you.
05:25Thanks all.
05:26Cheers, Andy, thanks.
05:27Cheers.
