00:18A warm welcome to you and thanks for joining us for another game live on EATV.
00:23My name's Guy Mowbray. I'm joined by Sue Smith in the commentary position and we should have a cracking contest
00:29here.
00:30What can we expect from the game then?
00:32I think it's so important that both teams start on the front foot, take the game to the opposition and
00:38an early goal would certainly settle any nerves.
00:43This is how the hosts line up.
00:46Yeah, it's a 5-3-2 or a 3-5-2 if you like. The midfield will be flooded when
00:51they've got the ball but then the wing-back should drop off when out of possession.
00:54It's just whether they can get up the pitch consistently enough to help provide the width to their attacks.
01:08This is how the visitors start the game.
01:11Yeah, it looks like a 4-5-1 or a 4-2-3-1.
01:14This can be quite an attacking line-up with the three progressive players behind the lone striker.
01:19But you've still got that defensive protection with the two midfielders holding.
01:41And we're off. The first half starts with anticipation in the air.
01:52Play continues as the ref lets that go.
01:55Good work to beat the challenge.
01:57Well, they've won the ball. Now what to do with it?
02:13There's a good amount of freedom here.
02:19Good, patient build-up, but not quite the end product.
02:22Yeah, and I'd like to have seen a bit more quality in the final third there.
02:26Chances don't come much better.
02:30And it's been missed.
02:32And it's been missed. That was a wonderful chance.
02:34They should have taken the lead there, and what a good start that would have been.
02:56Philippe Jurychic.
03:01Good run. Now, can he pick out the right option?
03:06Oh, a straight line to goal here.
03:08Still not dealt with.
03:10Well, it promised.
03:11And the ref says that's a foul, and that's a penalty.
03:14And it's a booking.
03:16Yeah, you can't argue with that, can you?
03:23To make it 1-0.
03:26No save needed, but straight wide.
03:29Well, he's tried to give the key to the eyes, but he's pulled this shot wide.
03:32Not the best penalty.
03:43Possession changes hands.
03:51Staphylidis.
03:52Room to do something here.
03:56Surely someone's got to do something about this.
03:59This to go in front.
04:00Oh, incredible.
04:02That's top quality goalkeeping.
04:18Over it comes.
04:20And it's cleared.
04:22No problem.
04:28Lazaro.
04:31This could get interesting.
04:33Interesting.
04:41And able to come away with the ball.
04:46Always done well to get past his man.
04:48It's in.
04:491-0.
04:50And that could change the shape of the game.
04:59Well, look at this really clever move.
05:01It's such great skill to beat the defender.
05:03And then it's quite the finish, too.
05:06Struck with real venom.
05:07And that's what makes it difficult for the keeper.
05:23So it's 1-0.
05:24So it's 1-0 as the ball gets rolling again.
05:30Juricic.
05:31Juricic.
05:39Good work.
05:40They've got it back.
05:42Beaten easily here.
05:47Continuous.
05:48Continuous.
05:49Oh, they've scored a game.
05:51The game had only just restarted after the last one.
05:59Well, here's the replay.
06:01And just look how quickly they go from defense to attack.
06:04And the finish.
06:05It's hit with some power.
06:07Some precision.
06:08Certainly a player in confident mood.
06:12So away we go again at 2-0 now.
06:22Konstantinos Leifis.
06:31And the ball won back.
06:36Still going here.
06:46Konstantinos Stafelidis.
06:48Setting up the chance.
06:53But it comes to nothing in the end.
06:56Really should have made more of...
06:58the end.
07:04Okay.
07:16Good job.
07:17Get this.
07:17Good job.
07:18Good job.
07:18Good job.
07:19What do you do?
07:21Good job.
07:22Good job.
07:24Good job.
07:25Good job.
07:26Good job.
07:57It's a sensible move to make this switch. It's always a risk when a player's on a booking.
08:12This is a promising looking attack.
08:18It's a brilliant chance! It's in!
08:21Oh, they needed that, and they're not out of this game yet.
08:29Well, look at this lovely link-up play. Great understanding between them.
08:34And then once he's through, there was never any doubt, was there?
08:37Hits it hard and true, and the keeper just can't react in time.
08:42A turnaround in possession. Excellent positioning.
08:46Pass one. What's next?
08:56Now to finish it.
09:00Oh, brilliant. Top stop.
09:02Oh, the keeper does so well. Makes himself big. Gets his angles just right.
09:07What a quality save.
09:11And the ball comes in.
09:20And the referee's whistle brings the first 45 minutes to a close.
09:24Still not dealt with.
09:52The whistle goes,
09:53and it's time for the second act.
10:14Surely someone's got to do something about this.
10:17Opportunity now.
10:19And still the chance might come.
10:31Konstantinos Stafelidis.
10:33A little sloppy on the ball there.
10:43Chances don't come, that's better.
10:54The ref makes the call.
10:56It's straight to the spot.
10:59And the spot kick is seen as sufficient punishment.
11:02No yellow card.
11:04Yeah, and I can understand the frustrations.
11:06He's lucky not to get a card there.
11:12Up he steps to level things.
11:15Scores.
11:16The penalty efficiently put away.
11:21Oh, take a look at this.
11:23He said the goalkeeper the wrong way.
11:25He's definitely giving the eyes there.
11:27And it's a simple finish in the end.
11:29I love that.
11:36The pass was read and the ball has changed hands.
11:46In, behind the defence.
11:48Oh, outstanding stop.
11:50Yeah, he stayed composed and narrowed the angle well.
11:53Just what was needed.
12:00It's put into the middle.
12:01And a routine take for the keeper.
12:19Juricic.
12:29Not far away at all.
12:30Hit properly.
12:31And it would have been scored.
12:34The stats show just what an enthralling game it's been so far.
12:38You've got two teams absolutely going for it.
12:41Lots of chances.
12:42And it's so difficult at this point to say who's going to go on and win this.
12:49Good work to beat the challenge.
12:53He's in here.
13:05Well, we can catch up with the details on that injury now from our man, Jeff Shrieves.
13:10From down here, it looked as though he landed actually on top of his elbow.
13:14That's why he's in so much discomfort.
13:16Well, there could be a chance here, Jeff.
13:20And it's in.
13:21Oh, they look dead and buried.
13:23But this is truly one of the great comebacks.
13:26Can they see this out now?
13:29Well, this is great.
13:30I really like the way he slipped past his marker here.
13:33And what a finish.
13:35He goes for power.
13:36It was never in doubt.
13:37He just looks so confident running through.
13:40Able to skip past.
13:43Delivered into the box.
13:47And there it comes to an end.
13:54And the pass is incomplete.
13:56Nicely won.
13:57We need to find a way to that late leveller.
13:59And this could be it.
14:15Finds himself with space now.
14:17But snuffed out before the move could develop.
14:30No way through.
14:31Possession lost.
14:37It's offside.
14:39And that could be there.
14:40And he's certainly made his mark on the game.
14:43And now time for someone else to have a go.
15:00That's crossed the line.
15:02It'll be a throw.
15:03No way through.
15:10No way through.
15:15And there's the final blast.
15:17Not the result these fans were hoping.
