00:17Well, just the sort of weather the fans were hoping for this evening,
00:21it's absolutely ideal.
00:23My name is Derek Ray, and sitting next to me with her tactical chart is Sue Smith.
00:27And without doubt, a match with the potential to bring genuine excitement.
00:32What are you expecting?
00:33I can't wait for this one today.
00:35The atmosphere is buzzing, and I'm hoping the football lives up to it.
00:41Well, when it comes to skill, Diego Maradona quite simply has the lot.
00:46Interested to know what you think we might see from him in this one?
00:49Well, I love the way he plays.
00:50He makes the game look easy.
00:52His first touch, his dribbling ability, the way he sees a pass,
00:56and then he executes it.
00:57He's got to be one of the best in his position.
01:02The initial 11 today for the hosts.
01:05Gianluigi Buffon gets the nod in goal.
01:07Paolo Maltini plays with Carlos Alberto in the full-back positions.
01:11And the tactical configuration has two players in attack from the very outset.
01:32Let's have a look at the initial 11 for the visitors.
01:35Yeah, it's a 4-5-1, but it will morph into a 4-2-3-1.
01:41The single centre forward will be supported by the number 10,
01:44and you'd expect them to rotate and swap positions
01:47just to try and drag defenders out.
01:49The wide midfielders, they'll offer a threat in behind.
02:18And away we go, the first half of this game.
02:27Milton Kasko went in strongly to win the ball.
02:36He's in with a chance.
02:39There it is.
02:40A delightful start to this match.
02:43Just what they were hoping for.
02:55Well, here's the replay, and what a run this is.
02:58They just couldn't get anywhere near him.
03:00And then he manages to keep his cool at the end
03:03and finishes it off well.
03:14They're back on the way, and 1-0 it is.
03:18Let's see what happens next.
03:26Moreno.
03:31Oh, he couldn't have whipped the keeper.
03:41Played over.
03:41Well, you might say every goalkeeper has meat and drink.
03:47Right?
03:49Oh, very effective play, and they might be on to something.
03:57They're looking dangerous here.
04:01Chances on.
04:04What a run that was.
04:06It's not just the physicality, it's the timing, isn't it?
04:09It's a critical part of defending that.
04:11It's brilliant.
04:12Clean challenge.
04:19Oh, skipping away.
04:22Well, it could be on for him here.
04:24Oh, it still needs clearing.
04:27Brilliant team pressing.
04:28Chances on.
04:30And fine goalkeeping.
04:41It's a short corner.
04:48And possibilities here.
04:52To equalize.
04:53That is not going to do.
04:55Well wide of the target.
05:17Well, a good place to win it back,
05:19and let's see what it leads to.
05:21Oh, excellent work there.
05:23It's a promising attack.
05:45And deciding to go short with this one.
05:51this could square the game
05:52and that's exactly what has transpired
05:55now that could be a massive
05:57turning point and momentum
05:59is with them
06:09well if we watch this again
06:11it's all about the run
06:12you've got to question the defending
06:14but I don't want to take anything away from
06:16his superb individual goal
06:20so underway again here
06:22on the back of that leveller
06:27oh that's a really good run
06:30just lost possession when it mattered
06:32yeah I'd like to have seen
06:34a bit more quality in the final third there
06:48showing a real will to win the ball
07:01San Mienzo
07:05now counter-attacking possibilities
07:10can they take advantage
07:14and with that the attack breaks down
07:25oh that is a wonderful piece of challenging
07:33well good run this
07:35now what can he do with it
07:36able to defend it however
07:41oh good looking run

07:48oh his positioning is spot on
07:50really makes it difficult for the attacker
07:52stops an almost certain goal there
08:15now sending it in
08:17oh that's a fine stop
08:19to get it out of harm's way
08:22using all his defensive acumen
08:24to cut it out
08:34just the challenge that was required
08:36referee spotting the transgression
08:57and in with a real chance
08:59and a goal
09:01in the lead again
09:03fully deserved
09:14well here it is again
09:15and he just makes it look so easy
09:17doesn't he
09:18skips past the defender
09:19like he wasn't there
09:20and he fully slots it home
09:29so the whistle then
09:31we're up the halfway step
09:32and he's running out of harm's way
09:32and he's running out of harm's way

09:59and he's running out of harm's way
10:40And away they go again, into the second half.
10:54Moreno.
10:57And he might be through here.
11:01Oh, there it is.
11:03A back and forth top of match.
11:05Now they're level again.
11:06The lead lasted merely minutes.
11:10Well, here's the replay.
11:11And the play between the two of them is just brilliant to start the move.
11:15And once it's through, there's no second guessing.
11:18Goes straight for power.
11:20And absolutely thumps it past the keeper.
11:22That's a proper striker's finish.
11:26Well, that's how to beat your opponent.
11:28Giving it away.
11:29And the play.
11:41Samienzo.
11:43Passing into the middle.
11:46Oh, nobody disappointed.
11:47It looked promising.
11:50And breaking at pace.
11:53And he's in.
11:57A goal here.
11:59Giving his team precisely what they were looking for.
12:02Now he deserves to celebrate it.
12:12Well, here it is again.
12:13And just look at how quickly they break forward.
12:16Cause all sorts of problems.
12:18And then through on goal.
12:19He decides to go for power.
12:21Absolutely smashes it past the keeper.
12:23And you have to say it was a good finish.
12:34On the way again.
12:35And we're being treated to plenty of goals.
12:373-2 at the moment.
12:42Casco.
12:46Mateo Suribe.
12:52And a good challenge to bring that attack to an end.
12:57Didn't look like a free kick.
13:00So deciding to make a personnel change at this juncture.
13:14And it's on now.
13:15Oh, how did he keep that out?
13:26Playing it in.
13:27Oh, no issues there.
13:33Eusebio.
13:36And a goal.
13:37To increase their advantage.
13:40It's a two-goal lead now.
13:47Well, this is great.
13:49I really like the way he slipped past his marker here.
13:52And then he strikes it so clearly with so much pace on it.
13:55And the keeper just can't get there.
13:57A brilliant finish.
14:11So the current scoreline.
14:134-2.
14:25And now Rodriguez on the ball.
14:29Can he find the right pass?
14:37Very quick thinking there.
14:53He's in here.
14:57Oh, fantastic scene.
14:59Yeah, read it well.
15:00Narrowed the angle.
15:01That's exactly how you deal with that.
15:05And I think, Sue, you have to admire the substitution.
15:08Because it's clear they're going to do everything in their power to claw their way back.
15:13Yeah, and he's got that match-winning ability, hasn't he?
15:15It's going to be interesting to see, though, if he can turn this one around.
15:21And they might break quickly.
15:26And more forward momentum.
15:28Well, it could be on for him here.
15:31Oh, terrific save!
15:33Yeah, that's all about awareness and timing.
15:35Excellent goalkeeping.
15:56And over it comes.
15:58And straight into the keeper's gloves.
16:01You can't waste corners like that.
16:02Well, they couldn't do anything with that particular cross.
16:09Couldn't keep the move going.
16:13In with a chance.
16:16And splendid reflex action there.
16:19Well, it takes something special to save like that from close range.
16:22His reactions were remarkable.
16:26Well, he certainly made his mark on the game.
16:29And now the manager is making a switch.
16:33Who's going to get on the end of it?
16:35And the keeper's hand does the trick.
16:50Annoyingly, there it breaks down.
17:05Could be threatening.
17:08And that's tidy work to push it to safety.
17:12And his instincts were strong.
17:18And that's the end of that attack.
17:21Oh, did well to skip through.
17:27And there goes the final whistle.
17:30And the home fans are going to be happy about this outcome.
17:34Yeah, it was a fairly comfortable result in the end.
17:36They control large parts of the game.
17:38It's a real professional performance.
17:40And I think they deserve the result.
17:44Well, really, no complaints whatsoever about his...
17:49He's...
17:54And there's a real performance.
17:55And there's a real performance.
17:55And there's a real performance.
17:56And there's a real performance.
17:56And there's a real performance.
17:57And there's a real performance.
17:57And there's a real performance.
17:58And there's a real performance.
17:58And there's a real performance.
17:59And there's a real performance.
17:59And there's a real performance.
17:59And there's a real performance.
