00:01Selangor Menteri Besar Amiruddin Syari says he will review the state government's planned cooperation with Bersatu following Perikatan National's deregistration.
00:11However, the PKR Vice President stressed that the proposed arrangement was with Bersatu, not PN, and said its status would
00:19be decided within a day or two, according to Astro Awani.
00:24Amiruddin added that PN's deregistration was an internal matter for the coalition, while he would first determine the status of
00:31the planned cooperation with Bersatu.
00:33He said the agreement was expected to be signed next week, subject to confirmation, possibly after October 25th or 26th.
00:42The Selangor government has been negotiating the pact in the hope of finalising it before the state budget is tabled
00:48in November.
00:49The proposed deal comes amid growing tensions between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan National in Selangor, as well as strain within
00:57PN, where PAS has emerged as the dominant partner.
01:01The 56-seat Selangor Assembly has 32 PH Assemblymen, 11 from Bersatu, 10 from PAS, 2 from BN, and 1
01:09independent.
01:10A deal with Bersatu would give Amiruddin support from more than two-thirds of the Assembly.
01:15The Registrar of Societies deregistered PN today after finding that its response to a show-cause notice failed to justify
01:23retaining its registration.
01:25PN has since said it will challenge the decision and seek a stay.
