00:19development with kyle shanahan um well if you separate those questions or you separate those
00:26subjects are you surprised that an un you know basically the last guy in the draft from iowa
00:31state would be dominating at the nfl level right now at record levels you'd be a liar if you said
00:38no i expected this um kyle shanahan has done unbelievable things with brock purdy but also
00:47give credit to brock purdy brock purdy has worked his ass off um and he's got some pretty good
00:54weapons at his disposal he's got a real good offensive line and he has got that thing and
01:02you saw it with that number 16 guy from notre dame he had it for his whole career so did
01:08steve young to a degree so did jeff garcia um that timing that bounce that you know the accuracy
01:18and he's just refined it and refined it and refined it in fact you know as good as he was
01:24the last few years i think this year he's probably having his best season he's ever had uh doing that
01:29i mean his his accuracy can be pretty scary when you watch that thing from the end zone you see

01:35size of the windows he's hitting you know kyle shanahan made a comment in his uh post game press
01:41conference you know he was like hey it's great being six and oh it's great being you know where we
01:46are right now but he's going to be gauged on what he does in the postseason just as you guys

01:51you know i mean no matter how many wins you have it's now time to another win another championship
01:56in san francisco and that's the only time that he's going to be gauged when we're talking about
02:01whether or not he's truly one of the greatest coaches of all time right right he's getting
02:06there um but like he said it's not you know how you win during the regular season it's how you
02:13finish
02:14uh and the standard which is a term that's you know pretty common in the san francisco 49er building
02:21the standard is the standard and the standard is a platinum trophy it's got a little football on top
02:27of it um and that's how you're supposed to end seasons end a report period and if there's anything
02:35i wish for that organization all those people in there all those players
02:40is a chance to finish a season the right way and once they do it could be contagious it could

02:47ugly again they could win a bunch but it's there's no other way to put it i mean you're supposed

02:54finish things off and um they they know that and i think the fans know that and i think you

03:01why they get so nervous during the season when guys start going down and guys start getting hurt
03:06hurt but one thing that doesn't get talked about enough because we all talk about shanahan and we
03:11talk about purdy and we talk about some of the individuals how about the job that john lynch and
03:16the personnel department has done not only drafting but free agency and everything else because they
03:23keep coming up and churning out these guys that you see them on the field they're going damn where did
03:29they find this guy and they just keep hitting on them and i think that's that's something you got to
03:35pay a lot of attention to as far as their success goes
