00:00Dan, I got to tell you, man, NIL is becoming such a big major part of college football.
00:05I mean, you know, I know a lot of people are putting like some roadblocks up here.
00:09And before I get more into NIL here, what's your takeaway on the Protect College Sports Act?
00:15Are you a fan of it or not a fan of it?
00:19With my agent hat on, you know, I'm not a fan of it.
00:22I think it starts limiting some of the players' rights.
00:25It limits some of their financial capabilities of what they can earn.
00:28And I think it could come in and kind of somewhat, you know, dirty the waters from what's been going
00:34on with it.
00:35But on the same token, I do think there needs to be some type of roadmap, some type of guidelines.
00:40But right now, the players are really having no say in the constitutional amendments and all that that's going on.
00:45It's really just a one-sided coming from the Congress and coaches and the NCAA.
00:50So I think there needs to be some guidelines, some type of union, some type of salary cap.
00:55But, yeah, the way that it's currently framed out, I think it's not great for the players.
00:59Yeah, because they're not really being represented, right?
01:02There's one side that's got a voice in this thing here.
01:04And for me, I'd be like, okay, so when you're cutting these deals with these networks and you're putting all
01:10these television networks, where's our end of this?
01:14Where's our voice in this?
01:15So you think there needs to be maybe a commissioner in college sports that represents both?
01:20How do you unionize that if you can?
01:23I mean, you got to start with, I think you start division by division, really, and then you work your
01:27way up.
01:28You know, if I was a player right now in the American Conference, I would try to just start to
01:31unionize and start figuring out what's the basic things that we get as players.
01:34You know, are we getting, everyone's going to get the free meals, everyone's going to get room and board.
01:38You know, you start with the basics and then work your way up to, hey, even if you're not making
01:42$100,000 to, you know, there's guys out there making $10 million, $12 million bucks.
01:47You know, obviously those guys are going to want to keep that threshold as high as possible.
01:51But how does it trickle down to the third-string quarterback, you know, who's not?
01:55But there's also tons of opportunities for these guys to be a third-string quarterback at Ohio State and then
02:01transfer to Ball State and make $500,000 bucks.
02:03So, I mean, there's opportunities everywhere right now.
02:06You know, and nil, obviously, is a major part of this.
02:09Man, hey, I wish I was born in this era because this is absolutely sensational.
02:15Dude, this is, look at the, can you imagine a guy like Deion Sanders or Tim Tebow in today's nil
02:20world right now?
02:21Morgan & Morgan is a major part of it here.
02:24You obviously support nil and for the players, correct?
02:28Yeah, this season for football, we have about 23 college players, you know, coast-to-coast, really.
02:35We also are the sponsors for some schools.
02:38You know, we sponsor West Virginia, Tennessee, USC, Oregon.
02:41So anytime we put one of those deals together, we make sure that we allocate money that's going directly to
02:45the players.
02:46And then we put some fun content together.
02:48We do commercials.
02:49We, you know, really try to utilize their social media platforms.
02:53That's where their eyeballs are.
02:55So, you know, it's not just we're throwing money away and we're boosters that are trying, you know, to prop
03:00up the football program.
03:01This really is a marketing aspect for it.
03:03And we see a huge return on investment with some of these campaigns.
