00:21I heard a loud bang with no brakes, it was crazy, I just ran out the front to see what
00:29was happening and I seen amazing members of the Wangaratta community who I all know or
00:36know most of them and they were helping. I didn't realise the seriousness of the situation
00:42initially and once it became relevant I just did what I could and what others were already
00:48trying to do.
01:00I don't think I'm a hero, I think that I just was a person who had an opportunity to intervene
01:05in a safe-ish sort of way. He did have a knife, he didn't pull it out, I just wasn't
01:17comfortable
01:17with his movements and so I basically just took it out of his pocket and threw it away.
01:37I just leant over him and once it was, you know, once he was on the ground and he was
01:47no longer a threat, I just stood with him and, you know, told him that he can't leave,
01:56he's not free to leave.
02:09A lot of people got involved immediately and they didn't even check for danger, they just
02:15ran to help, literally. Like, literally, that's exactly what they did. They didn't look around,
02:22you know, I mean, the driver was still in the car, the car was still on and they sat in
02:32front of a rolling car. That's not an exaggeration. There is a man that sat in front of a moving
02:39car to help someone. That really happened. Like, that's not just a sound bite. A man sat
02:45down and refused to leave. I had no choice but to take him out of the car because it was
02:51the right and safest thing to do.
03:01We thought he was trying to run, run away. But no, he then reversed and drove back into
03:06her another three times before trying to flee.
03:09That's all.
