00:00Manchester City continued to silence the noise around them with a commanding 5-1 victory over AEK Athens as Phil
00:08Foden scored a hat-trick and provided a timely reminder of their quality amid growing turbulence around the club's Premier
00:17League finances.
00:19Phil Foden did score three times at the Etihad Stadium, while Elliot Anderson and Ryan Cherky also found the net
00:29to secure a convincing win.
00:32The result offered a response after City's 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in their previous Champions League fixture.
00:40However, the performance came against the backdrop of a major development in the Premier League's long-running financial case.
00:52An independent commission found Manchester City guilty of 114 charges breaching financial regulations and cooperating with the Premier League.
01:03Now, according to reports, the sanctions are moving closer towards being announced against Manchester City, who have lodged an appeal
01:12against the original decision.
01:14The case remains significant for clubs across the division, including Leeds United, Newcastle and Sunderland as well.
01:23Other Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on the final decision.
