00:00And maybe none bigger than whether or not Sarkeesian and Arch Manning
00:04are going to be a topic of conversation for the rest of this season here
00:08as Ole Miss getting three and a half points on the road against Texas,
00:13who, by the way, also just lost the best defensive player
00:18who was leading the country in sacks.
00:20He's done for the rest of the year.
00:22I mean, it's put up a shut-up time for both these teams, is it not?
00:27Yeah, Simmons was really good for Texas,
00:29and I still think he projects as a top-five pick, edge rusher in the NFL draft.
00:34You know, it's a weird dynamic with this whole Arch Manning thing.
00:38It really is because it seems like what's funny is that the guys
00:43who know the most about this are seemingly saying that maybe it's not his fault
00:48and it's the coach's fault, which it just seems like we're constantly making excuses
00:51for Arch Manning, and maybe it is true.
00:53I don't know enough about the game and what goes on to make that determination,
00:57but at least the analysts are saying that he's not putting him
01:00in the best position to succeed.
01:03Look, I mean, they hired Sarkeesian.
01:06They put him in that spot.
01:07Is it fair to say that if Texas loses this game that he won't be the coach next season?
01:11I do.
01:12I think that that's fair because at that point, Texas is staring down three losses already
01:16or whatever they have, and this would be back-to-back
01:19if they ended up losing to Mississippi and not knowing much, you know,
01:23certainly as much about handicapping these games as the others.
01:26The way that I look at it is it does appear to me that Mississippi is the better team
01:30of the two.
01:30Mississippi got handed to it by Florida, and that was it.
01:34I mean, they beat LSU.
01:35They've won the rest of their games.
01:36They're back inside the top 10, and I think that them losing to the Gators
01:40was a little bit of an overreaction.
01:42They had one bad game where they absolutely could have beat the Gators in that game, too.
01:46The Gators played their best football game of the season.
01:48They ended up beating Mississippi, so, you know, to me, I thought going into the season,
01:53Texas was really overrated.
01:54I thought Ohio State dominated that game, that they lost to Texas the first game of the season,
01:59and to me, I think that the Longhorns are a fringe top 25 team, if that.
02:04I don't even see that, so give me Mississippi this week to at least keep this game close,
02:11and they have the better quarterback of the two, in my opinion.
02:14In fact, Chambliss is probably the only quarterback of all these highly touted guys, Joe,
02:19going into the season that's actually doing it.
02:21I mean, think of Moore on Oregon and Manning on Texas and some of the others.
02:27Now, look, Mensa's come on, and he's done a really nice job.
02:30I get that, and there have been some others, but this best quarterback draft ever
02:35that was supposed to be coming up after the season, I don't think is.
02:42I don't think so either, Craig.
02:44I mean, I think this could be it, because I really do think, and by the way,
02:48flip side, Ole Miss has to win this game if we're going to take them serious for a national championship.
02:53And there is no – you have the better quarterback, the better offense.
02:56There is no reason – and you have a defensive-minded head coach.
03:00You played a great defensive game last against Missouri.
03:05There is no excuses here.
03:07Like, you have to win this game against a wounded Texas team
03:11that doesn't have an awful lot of confidence right now without their best defensive player.
