00:02Ladies and gentlemen, it's an absolute pleasure to welcome everybody here tonight to Sheffield,
00:08England. We are live on DAZN for a big night of world championship professional boxing.
00:15We begin tonight with a special super flyweight title attraction,
00:19and it's a rematch set to make a ring walk, Emma Dolan.
00:30A very warm welcome inside Sheffield, Thundered Alton Smith headlines in that huge world title clash
00:38against the clever Alberto Pueyo. It's a super card brought to you again on DAZN and a week on
00:46from that eagerly awaited rematch between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley.
00:53We kick off with another rematch, this time in the buzzing women's scene.
01:00And this is East Anglia's Newark-based British super flyweight champion, Emma Dolan.
01:12Tenacious, she's a great young lady out of the ring,
01:16and she's looking to put that world title defeat behind her and prove her worth again tonight.
01:28Always been good value, hasn't she, Barry?
01:31Yeah, she's a fantastic boxer, she really is, and she was on a really good roll, of course,
01:36and obviously fight for the world title was a dream come true for her,
01:40but it turned into a nightmare there with a third-round stoppage against Garcia,
01:43but this is a fight, it's a difficult fight to be from some,
01:46even though it's a rematch, the fight she wouldn't be for.
01:49I think Shannon Ryan's in a different place in her career,
01:52so for Emma Dolan, the questions have been asked for her tonight,
01:55and she's brave enough and willing enough to want to answer those questions.
01:58There she is with Carl Greaves, her mentor and trainer,
02:03they're super tight, top team.
02:10And now entering the arena, Shannon, Chaos Ryan.
02:37She's always been one of the highest profile fighters on our domestic scene,
02:42the bright, engaging, vibrant Shannon Ryan.
02:52She promised so much early on and is just now beginning to really begin to roll.
03:02The Commonwealth champion who looked destructive last time
03:07and wants to put the record straight tonight, Sunny.
03:12She's still very popular.
03:13Yeah, and I think she's really improving, Adam, I think.
03:16Her last two fights have been her only two stoppages,
03:19and I think that's more than a testament of the improvement she's made over her career.
03:23She lost to Emma Dolan when they fought the first time around.
03:26Obviously, this is the rematch tonight,
03:27but I do genuinely believe that this is a much different,
03:31much more experienced than developed Shannon Ryan.
03:33Her last two wins is really impressive.
03:35I agree there's a maturity, really, about Shannon Ryan, Chaos on the waistband,
03:43but she's been clever too, with a sort of rebuilding program,
03:48and she's super confident.
03:50She writes the wrongs tonight.

06:34okay spoke to both in the dressing room you both now expect keep it clean break straight away when told
06:39both of you watch your heads in close good luck to your bowl touch gloves
06:43well this is a compelling encounter for a town of super flyweight treasure the british
06:49the british the wealth and ibf
06:54intercontinental belts on the line
06:56but there's much more at stake here pride
06:59repeat or revenge
07:01emma dolin victorious a couple of years ago
07:06shannon ryan in real form though
07:09how barry does this unfold
07:11well it's if
07:13who can control the space i think and it's certainly for zola and it's that they'll get behind that jab
07:17but
07:18look at ryan with that right hand
07:19big shots from ryan
07:21and a right hand
07:23blaze donut on the
07:25scene of the paps
07:2620 seconds in
07:28and the legs are shaky she was down three times in a world title challenge
07:33up too early
07:33and it's another nightmare start
07:35and shannon ryan's a big finisher
07:37howard fos is going to step in i think
07:40down twice
07:41doesn't really know where she is emma dolin
07:44and this could be all over in a flash
07:47carl greaves has thrown the towel in
07:48shannon ryan exacts revenge
07:51in quite blistering fashion
07:54inside around
07:56in sheffield
07:58and the only loss of her career
08:01is now wiped away
08:04as ryan dominates
08:06and dominates emphatically
08:08i know i didn't really get a chance to speak there adam before the fight was all over but
08:13straight away emma dolin came to the center of the ring
08:16she was very upright and leading off first
08:19and you see what shannon ryan did
08:21she just sat down in front of her
08:22and as the shot came
08:23she dipped down and whipped over that right hand
08:25and she couldn't miss her with it
08:26you can't be that upright and be on the receiving end of punch after punch
08:30that was shannon ryan thinking
08:31i see what happened in her last fight
08:33and because she's full of confidence
08:35she's thinking
08:35i know exactly what i'm going to do
08:37i'm going to jump on it early
08:39not give a chance to get in the fight
08:40get behind that jab
08:41and as soon as she's there with that big right hand
08:43the fight was already over
08:45i thought the first knockdown really did the damage
08:48emma dolin was so confident in the build up to this
08:51but shannon ryan last time out against nicola hopewell was
08:55destructive in a couple of rounds
08:58there's obviously an increase in power
09:01you can see the thighs and the way she gets that thunderous shot home
09:06emma dolin wide open
09:07that's commitment son
09:09that's not that much technique
09:11that's not that much power
09:12that's just
09:12i'm going for it
09:13i know exactly what i'm going to do
09:14and whatever happens
09:15i'm throwing that big right hand
09:16the word that came to my man barry was intention
09:18yeah intention
09:19you could see the intention of shannon ryan's punches
09:22as she was throwing them
09:23she had her weight underneath her
09:25she had her feet underneath her
09:26and she was really trying to hurt her
09:28with every shot she threw
09:29and just to test if emma dolin does have a little bit of the worries in her brain from taking
09:34a shot
09:35and will she panic
09:36and i don't think she did
09:37it just it was a shot that would knock you down
09:39isn't it such a strange sport though
09:41the demons for emma dolin coming really off that bad world title defeat
09:46and shannon ryan with momentum and confidence
09:50and totally different a couple of years on
09:52and believing in yourself though you can actually do now
09:54not before thinking i can do it
09:56knowing i can do it now
09:57there's a real big difference in how you approach a fight
10:00and this is a woman here
10:02not so much here in shannon ryan
10:04here that fully believes that she has the ability to go all the way
10:07big smile for shannon ryan
10:09you really feel for emma dolin
10:11after all the training
10:13and it is done in a flash
10:16two great women
10:18but it is revenge for shannon ryan
10:21and we can't wait for this one
