00:00Some more news coming in. High-octane graffiti war erupts at JNU.
00:05Left versus right ideological battle on the Jawaharlal Nehru University walls in the national capital.
00:12JNU campus turns into a battleground of slogans.
00:15Free Umar Khalid versus never free Umar Khalid.
00:18These are the kind of slogans that can be seen on the walls of JNU.
00:21JNU walls have become the latest political flashpoint now.
00:24ABVP and ISA face-off in JNU graffiti war.
00:28Khand Bharat slogans also appear on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University as can be seen in these visuals.
00:34So these are on one hand, you can see free Umar Khalid slogans.
00:37On the other hand, you can also see never free Umar Khalid, stop love jihad.
00:42These are the kind of slogans that have sparked campus rao.
00:45All harassers will be taken down.
00:47Slogans also surface on the walls.
00:50Congress MP Bimola Koyja and Priyanka Gandhi's images also emerge.
00:56So sharp ideological divide on display at JNU.
00:59JNU walls now turn into a battlefield of ideas.
01:02And remember, this comes just days after similar slogans were seen even on the walls of Jamia Millia Islamia.
01:08And now my colleague Anmol Bali is joining us with more details on this.
01:13Anmol, a very good afternoon to you.
01:15So after Jamia Millia Islamia, it's now JNU's walls where we can see this graffiti wall that has erupted.
01:24These slogans have been in fact painted by even the left wing, the right wings.
01:30On one hand, we are seeing slogans like free Umar Khalid.
01:33On the other hand, we are also seeing slogans like stop love jihad, never free Umar Khalid.
01:41Honestly, as you know, the graffiti wall has erupted in the Jawaharlal Nehru and same kind of visuals were also
01:47seen in Jamia Millia Islamia from where last more than 12 days we are seeing a protest going on where
01:53students are protesting for the students' union election in the Jamia Millia Islamia.
01:57And at the same, on the other hand, we are also seeing same kind of visuals from the Jawaharlal Nehru
02:02University where yesterday we have seen the students from left wing organizations have painted graffitis on the university balls where
02:09they have written free Umar Khalid.
02:11And even we have seen visuals of that how they have written a few of the graffitis which has upsetted
02:17the right wing students in the university.
02:20And on the other hand, now right wing students likely from the ABVP have written graffiti like on the place
02:25of free Umar Khalid.
02:26They have written never free Umar Khalid.
02:29They have also kind of written a graffiti with a photo of a Manipur MP who was accused of sexual
02:36harassment inside the campus.
02:38And with the photo of Priyanka Gandhi, they have written graffiti that no harasser will be spared.
02:43So these kinds of visuals are coming from the Jawaharlal Nehru University which has become a contention point between both
02:48left and right wing student organizations.
02:50Thank you for those details.
02:52So, remember viewers, just two days ago, we saw similar slogans on the walls of Jamia Millia Islamia where the
02:59students are already protesting to restore the student union polls.
03:03And in fact, the Congress Party back then had claimed that this is nothing but a bid to divert attention
03:08from the real issues.
03:09And now similar slogans have emerged on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University, also another prestigious university in the national
03:16capital.
03:17And now there were slogans like free Umar Khalid.
03:20On the other hand, there were also slogans like Akhand Bharat and never free Umar Khalid.
03:25So what we are learning is that these are the slogans which have been written by the left wing organizations
03:30including ISA and the right wing organizations have also hit back with more slogans like Akhand Bharat, Stop Love Jihad.
03:38They've also posted pictures of Priyanka Gandhi along with the Congress MP, Mimol Okoyeja, who has stoked this controversy.
03:50There are allegations of sexual harassment against the former JNU professor and Congress MP.
03:56So those images have also emerged on the walls of JNU.
