00:00I did try to retire at some point in time.
00:02What age?
00:03What age?
00:04I want to say I was 22, maybe 21.
00:08Long story short, a group of TFL decided,
00:10okay, we are going to do fire.
00:12So we all bought these kind of shady apartments in Las Vegas.
00:16They were like 70K each.
00:19We renovated them and made them a little bit nicer.
00:21So then we were like, okay, cool.
00:22Like we could reduce our cost of living by living in Vegas
00:25and then spend all our time traveling.
00:27So I went on this sabbatical, which we could call retirement,
00:30where I lived with a TFL, so it was great
00:32because, you know, I was around a bunch of smart people.
00:33We would travel around the world together.
00:35Like we literally went there like Korea together, Singapore, et cetera.
00:38But I was not as intellectually stimulated as I wanted to be.
00:42So then I was like, okay, what can I do
00:44where I can like maintain this lifestyle-ish,
00:46still stay happy, but use my brain a little bit more?
00:49Then I went into VC.
00:50I think anyone can agree VC is less stressful
00:52than founding the company.
00:53I ended up wanting to do something different in venture
00:55to really stand out.
00:56So help create this program called HF Zero,
00:58where we live with founders
00:59and really invest our time and resources
01:02into helping them forget about like really everything else
01:05going on in their lives.
01:06We would like rent out motel complexes, et cetera.
01:08We would provide a private chef.
01:09We provided laundry, et cetera,
01:11so they could spend all their time focused on building.
01:13While I was living there,
01:14I got the urge to start a company again.
