00:00uh what trends are you seeing right now in the games or had there been any like i guess i
00:05should
00:05ask have there been any dark horses this year where you're like yeah that came out of nowhere
00:10yeah i i wouldn't say it was necessarily a dark horse but you know obviously we've been dealing
00:14with a lot of the triple pot stuff and perceived persistence i think over the past couple years
00:19and then i think the one that's sort of sticking out now is um sort of these nested bonuses we
00:27can
00:27call them like a nested hold and spin or a hold and spin within a hold and spin um a
00:33nested wheel
00:34i was looking at this game today um from igt and it's it's performing real out the gate um this
00:41enchanted unicorn returns um that's a great name is that the name yeah yeah so it's actually it's
00:48actually based off the legacy game and then they added the returns but now they modernized it
00:51and so you have a hold and spin now and then within the hold and spin you have like a
00:56nested pick bonus
00:57which augments the whole the hold and spin so i think we're seeing these you know obviously we
01:03had the triple pots and that's where all the pots interact with each other and now we're kind of
01:08doing these nest nested ones so more vertically instead of horizontally so you can sort of like
01:15infinitely combine these different features and i think we're only scratching the surface there
01:22aside from that i mean like the perceived persistence stuff and and the triple pots are still
01:27strong as ever um those don't walk on a floor today and then that's like half of what you'll see
01:34yeah um but it has been interesting to watch sort of the the journey there with perceived persistence
01:42yeah it is i mean it's everywhere do you see somebody was telling me uh like i think almost a
01:49year ago
01:50they came on and they said if you watch the true persistence games they'll like go to the top
01:56of the filer's charts and then they'll inevitably fall off yeah quickly are you yeah is that true
02:01oh yeah i totally um and this is true persistence and the difference yeah for sure really quickly can
02:07you explain the difference for the the listener who might not know yeah so true persistence means i mean
02:12that's at its core it's the return to players different on each spin um so with perceived
02:21persistence the the volume the volume of the pot or the size of the pot is unrelated to the rtp
02:30of your
02:30next spin so the likelihood of hitting a bonus is exactly the same it doesn't matter um basically the
02:36the graphics on the screen don't matter yeah exactly yeah it'll look like it's gonna burst or the
02:41clots the pots yeah but it doesn't it doesn't matter it doesn't like connect to the right it's almost
02:49akin to like walking up to like a roulette table and it has like the last the records of the
02:56spans and
02:56it's like red red red red red that'd be it doesn't mean the next one's gonna be black so like
03:02kind of
03:02like you know similarly to the pot filler like yeah just because it's huge and it hasn't hit in
03:08a long time doesn't mean you're gonna hit it on the next spin whereas with true persistence there's
03:13you it's usually aided by like some sort of like figure like a number or something like that's
03:19usually a tell sometimes although now suppliers are starting to to hide some of these things but
03:23if you see a number on it that's typically a tell um number where so like you'll see a pot
03:29and
03:29have like a six on it or something okay so like some sort of visual counter or yeah some it's
03:34usually
03:34sort of some sort of physical counter like that you'll see something like that like buffalo link
03:38you'll see um in the screen like like a counter so you'll see things like that and that's usually
03:45a tell whether it's true or perceived although now we're seeing some innovations where the lines are
03:50getting a little bit blurred
