00:05and it starts with Jalen Hurts' medical care with the NFL PA and the NFL.
00:09What I don't get is, and I have been hammering this drum since last Monday
00:15when they got back from London.
00:18The National Football League, within 24 hours, cleared themselves
00:24with not even a conversation with the NFL Players Association
00:28on the medical care of Jalen Hurts' blood clots.
00:32Ask yourself some of these questions here.
00:34So when you ended up finding out that he had a blood clot,
00:40and you did the exam in London, and you did the ultrasound,
00:46why did you do that in Philly?
00:48Why did you wait until he landed?
00:51And then when you found out that he had it,
00:55why did you put him on an airplane and fly him back?
00:59Why not give him the medical care that he needed overseas?
01:04And then the ultimate comes down with some more questions.
01:08Why did you practice him on Monday?
01:12Why not you do an immediate ultrasound on Monday
01:16when he landed and got off the airplane?
01:18Then you practice them again on Wednesday.
01:23You're trying to tell me that the NFL looks out for their players
01:28and the medical care of their players.
01:31Well, show me where you were caring about the player.
01:36Nick Sirianni last week says,
01:37I love Jalen Hurts like a brother.
01:39Well, here, I'll ask Nick this question.
01:41If that was your son, Nick, and you had found out when you were in London
01:46that your son had a blood clot, would you have played him?
01:51Or would you have said, hey, you know what?
01:54We're going to sit back here,
01:55and we're going to hold you out of this football game.
01:58You know, people were asking questions with the Philadelphia Inquirer
02:01why he was coming out of games late.
02:03You know what he was doing?
02:04He was napping in the locker room prior to coming out.
02:09And Jeff McClain from the Philadelphia Inquirer made notes of that,
02:13and he goes, yeah, I was getting rest.
02:17So if you're down this lane, how in God's name does the NFL
02:22and the Eagles think you had the best interest of the player
02:26and his medical care when you were not crossing all your T's
02:30and dotting all your I's?
02:32Look, here's the two things with these two organizations.
02:35One, I don't trust the NFL.
02:37And the other, the NFLPA, who I'm a member of right now
02:41as a retired player, is completely incompetent.
02:44You've got one that's incompetent, and you've got one you don't trust.
02:49This is who represents the players.
02:51You know, Roger Goodell works for the owners.
02:54Remember that.
02:54He doesn't work for the players.
02:56When you see him on draft night and those players hugging him,
03:00I kind of always gasp in a way, why are you hugging that guy?
03:03That guy doesn't care about your health.
03:06He never will.
03:07Of all the major sports teams in North America,
03:11the worst medical care for retired players is the NFL players.
03:16If you're a Major League Baseball player,
03:19you have to have three games,
03:21and you get full medical health for the rest of your life.
03:26NFL doesn't do that.
03:27You get 10 years of medical health, and after that, you're on your own.
03:32The National Football League tells you they care about their players'
03:35medical well-being.
03:36It's not true.
03:37You see those stupid helmet commercials they do?
03:40They're talking to Ma, telling him, look, our game is safe.
03:43You know those bonnets that they wear on top of their head, those cushions?
03:47Dr. Bennett Amalo told me the whole thing that talks about concussions,
03:52you know the movie that Will Smith played in?
03:53Drop an egg into a glass of water, and then move it around.
03:59That's your brain.
04:00No matter what kind of helmet you have, that's your brain.
04:05So, again, there's so many more questions that are going on right now
04:09when it comes to the National Football League
04:12and the medical care of Jalen Hurts.
04:15I want answers, too, because you know what this is all about?
04:18This is all about the next guy.
04:21This is all about the next player that may need medical care.
04:27Unfortunately, we have incompetence and an untrustworthy league
04:31when it comes to the players.
04:32I want answers.
